The gx is just absolute perfection. The design, functionality, tech, build quality all look top tier. Also, given its Lexus, and fhe features and style provided, i genuinely think its priced quite fairly especially in this insane car market where the avg car is like 45k
What I really want is the TX interior/size/space with GX exterior looks and capability but without the LX price tag. Like a true Yukon/Tahoe competitor.

Actually, the Lexus GX competes directly with the Mercedes G-wagon, but if we talk about luxury, the G-wagon is indeed more luxurious because the G-wagon is also priced at twice the price of the GX series, but if you only use the offroad features, the GX is more worth it than the G-wagon in terms of price.

8:23 to me this is personal preference. I'd rather have an opening sunroof then a fixed one even with the opaque glass option. So far I would pick the GX in the video. If it has the GX panoroof it would've been perfect for me.
I love both of these cars too but I would go for the sportier MDX or a X5 if the lack of 3rd row isn’t an issue (Cayenne is great too but a lot more expensive)
@@normanli7085 I meant X5 also I’ve been in a X7 before and it surprisingly has less legroom than our MDX, my parents cross-shopped the MDX, QX60, Q7, and X7 (all 2023 ones) back in 2022 so I am pretty familiar with those 4 vehicles (safe to say we love our MDX but if we needed another 3-row we’d def go for a X7), my parents are looking to either get a new X5 or Cayenne bc we want to get rid of our old QX60 but ofc we’re not selling our Acura anytime soon
Great job as always, guys! And this was a perfect comparison for my wife and I, as these are the 2 models we are considering. But I still have a few questions: how is the seat comfort in each? My understanding is that the sporty TX has more aggressive seats that the regular TX. Also, we currently own a 2022 RX 450hl. We love the car, the 6 cy engine and ride, and the look of this beautiful car. But, the swooping design that makes it so beautiful causes me to have to duck my head when I get in the car, even though I am only 5'9". I know that wouldn't be an issue for the GX, because of it's body design, but I'm wondering if it would be an issue with the TX. I haven't seen one at the dealership yet. Thanks as always!
Thanks! Seat comfort is very good, minus the missing 4-way lumbar and thy extension on both. Also, bigger people will not like the TX F-Sports narrow seats
Good comparison, but please spend a few more seconds comparing the cargo areas. These vehicles are SUVs meant to carry cargo as well… suitcases, skis, boxes, costco items, etc. Would be nice to see how they compare in terms of width, height, and length for holding cargo.
The GX is my spirit animal! I love the boxy design without the utilitarian interior. Give me the life of luxury! It's just has a presence about it. It commands attention on the road. The TX is too subdued for me. Too Wisteria Lane Desparate Housewives for me.
Taking the fight to utilitarian sides would easily double up the GXs points, this was mostly an on road comparison, but most of em are mostly gonna be seen on road, so Yeah, the better road car the TX

Tx is kinda narrow based on Highlander. If TX is your thing, I’d take the tx350 w the smaller price tag. Gx has better proportions and better powertrain
The GX only makes sense for the very small percentage of people who actually need off road capability or who tow huge loads. Most people will use these as mall crawlers and the TX is better suited for that.

I would recommend Lexus Ls ,if you don’t care about ambient lighting and screens everywhere these sedan is the best .reliability and drive quality not less then similar vehicles and also price more less compare with other full size sedans .
I’d love to see that, I’m not a PHEV guy if I had to get a PHEV (unlimited budget), it’d be a TX or a CX90, the BMW and Porsche ones are nice too but I’d be too concerned about reliability

Absolutely not Any car will last 5-6 years minimum as long as you take care of it Plus the xc90 phev is actually cheaper than the tx550h and it’s only $2k more than the tx500h. Yet the Volvo has significantly more power much better performance and better EV range and fuel economy is similar to the tx550h but better than the tx500h
Overall pricing of these Vehicles is absurd when you have to add Taxes and Dealer and Deliver Now close to $88,000 Even if I had that kind of money I would not waste it on something like that Totally ridiculous 😝😝😝
Love that GX. Looks better. If it runs like the previous GX models, it should run better than the TX, which is just a Highlander. I’d rather buy a limited Grand Highlander than to spend the extra month for the Lexus badge. There’s no substitute for the GX. The new Land Cruiser is much smaller
@georgep995 BMW are in the top 5 most reliable brands because of their B58 engines. I have a 2020 M340i with 250K miles on it(yes, I have to drive alot). I've posted my odo on the Beemer forum to prove it as well.

TX is better for large families, GX is better for off-road enthusiasts, you can’t go wrong with either, both are fantastic

You forget to mention the TX Dynamic Rear Steering can add a slight steering angle to the rear for turning radius.

the TTV6 came out in 2017 on the LS... the GX550 drivetrain is 7 years old now...

They both are reliable, I liked better TX. However, both have tons of plastics and don't feel as luxury as Cadillac, BMW or MB.
GX has a useless third row and it is still thirsty, most of the people that I know who had a GX was for show off and now they all will go to TX.

The GX is going to have a Japanese built 3.5TT much like the LS500. There's not been many issues with the LS500's powerplant.
