@Xaveak Thanks sir. The 940 is an excellent HOTAS system - great value since it incldues everything, including the pedals, but also because Black Shark actively supports it. In the real aircraft when you trim the controls, they remain in place. The same applies with the 940 - black Shark uses the Force Feedback system to lock the controls in place when you trim the aircraft which makes the 940 a phenomenal choice for Black Shark piloting.

Thank you. THe A-10 has a lot of procedures as well though, probably more than the KA-50 in many areas, particularly when it comes to weapons employment.
Excellent ! That's so satisfying to watch videos with a pilot having a fair handling of his machine. Your advice and tips are very clever and informative too, that's a big plus for would be pilots. Thanks for these vids and I hope to watch more of these soon !

Black Shark 2 looks great! I like the idea of being able to join mixed servers with the A-10 Warthog.

Probably could use the autoland systems to get her down - the environment in a real cockpit under those conditions is considerably more challenging than sitting at home in front of a computer screen with a cup of coffee. Also, worth bearing in mind that most senior cabin crew members also receive basic instruction on the auto flight systems just in case that situation were to ever actually occur- you're unlikely in the real world to ever hear "is there a pilot on board"

The official video tutorials are horrible. The one on the autopilto/trim you made was really good and helpful.
It is a worthy successor but has an immense learning curve, partly because it's a RUssian helicopter so he'll be reading the manuals learning russian terms for stuff. It's also a beast in terms of system requirements.
That's hard to answer. THe 940 is phenomenal because of the force feedback support, but I fly this and the A-10 with the Thrustmaster Warthog.
Formation flying is your next thing to learn.

I've had BS v1.02 for just a couple weeks and am still practicing start-ups and basic flying (take-off, level turns, landing), and don't want to try any mission or campaigns until I get the basics mastered.
I haven't watched your other Deployment video yet; do you cover weapons employment in that one? Will you be doing a separate video on weapons?
That's because the Huey is Not an accurate simulation. It's certainly A fun video game and a lot of people have mastered it, not that good a simulation currently tho. When I mentioned that in a video I got lynched for it and pulled the video. I'm re-making it, and the Helicopter pilot I'm enlisting who also has 5000 hours in the real Huey has confirmed it's pretty weak as a sim but a fun video game (like Space Invaders or Breakout) - yeah I'm a little bitter.

Great tutorial. Just downloaded Blackshark 2 but haven't played it seriously yet. Never knew trim was that important. Yes, it does look like a boring sight seeing mission but I enjoyed listening to your your narration. BTW, will DCS make a AH1 Cobra sim?
Nice flying Froogle, could never master this flight model. I have more experience with fixed wing so hopefully A-10C will come better once I get it. And my memory doesent help me with remembering the sequences :P
Very true, but I feel it will come to me easier. The startup is simpler from what I have seen, at least all of the steps are very near to each other.
This made me want to get into flying the Black Shark again, but I have to save up fore a TrackIR first :P I tried without the TrackIR, but I found the hat to be way too imprecise to be able to fly it properly.

i just finally got into DCS... focused on Mirage... just got vr (woohoo) now 2 days ago mapped out hotas and started ka50 (i got too many modules ahhaha), your vids have (trimm) helped

search for logitech 940. Now in terms of HOTAS with driving games - no idea. I've never thought to even try that. If I need more buttons for driving I use a razer nostromo. In terms of buttons on an HOTAS, it's really choice. I prefer the Thrustmaster Warthog because it's more 'real'. The 940 is quite plasticky. On the flip side the Warthog is divorce inducingly expensive.

Hete is a question to you froogle. If you had been sitting on a plane, and sudenly both pilots randomly dies, do you think you could land the plane?
Is this the closest Combat Sim to Longbow? My dad is a real fan of LB but unfortunately can't get it running on his latest pc. He loves the complexity and realism. I would like to pick this up for him if you guys think that this a worthy successor. Thanks...

Loved the video. I do have a question, does anyone have a Logitech G940 flight system. I want to buy a nice HOTAS system and I think the Logitech is reasonably cheep while not so bad on the quality. Any ideas would be nice :)
