It’s absolutely incredible the stories Jim Nantz has, the relationships he’s developed with guys like Arnie and so many others. Just like Arnie, there will never be another like him. I will always be a fan of you and Mr. Palmer.
Several years ago my sons and I were at the PGA merchandise show in Orlando. We were fortunate to run into Gary Player and Arnold Palmer during the day. With my three sons present each man took us aside out of the flow of traffic, sat us down and spent about 30 minutes talking to us. What a treat. It was almost a spiritual experience. When Arnold passed away my oldest son called me and shared this profound thought. DAD IT ALWAYS SEEMED TO ME THAT MR PALMER THOUGHT THAT WE WERE DOING HIM A FAVOR TO TAKE OUR TIME TO TALK WITH HIM. It is hard not to deeply love a man like that who makes that kind of impression on a teenager who remembers the occasion that vividly when he is in his forty’s. May no one ever forget what that man did for those all around him.
Correct Tiger Hogan Jack probably the three best but no doubt Arnold is on and near the top of the all time lists but no one is/was more important to the game
I never met Arnold Palmer, but I did meet Jim Nantz when I worked on a golf video for. him, and Jim Nantz is a really nice man. A true gentleman in the spirit of Arnold Palmer.
Known as the "KING ", A. Palmer is the most popular golfer ever !!! 10 times more popular than Woods & Nicklaus combined !! ⛳ Arnie's Army numbered in the billions around the globe. ❤
I remember getting his autograph at the Raleys senior golf rush at Rancho Murietta outside of Sacramento in the mid 80’s. I had a red hat and all we had was a red sharpie. I still have that hat.
He was the king of the world on so many Sundays, but he went out in a big pharma commercial with Kevin Nealon. Marie Antoinette's head didn't fall that far.
Bennett W You keep saying He and golf. That should tell you something. Philanthropists? So is George Soros. You probably don't even know what I mean by that. Listen, people with a lot of money use these things as a tax shelter and for PR. You're blind, but maybe you have a chance to see. www.greatpreachers.org/pro_sports.html Oh, remember Jimmy Savile gave a lot to Leeds Hospital and the children, read about him.
You are a disgrace to golf and to all good people like Arnold Palmer who made a real difference. Please get off this blog , you don't belong here. Shame on you.
Ursula Kur This isn't a blog, it's a public forum. He didn't do anything, but selfishly play golf. For himself, to win. You don't get a Noble Prize for that. Everything you believe, the TV convinced you of that. Get real.
Truly a man who lived the fullest of lives. Not a bad thing to say of him. There will never be another.
except that he blatantly cheated on his wife
A legend to golf and to the world of honorable men.
It’s absolutely incredible the stories Jim Nantz has, the relationships he’s developed with guys like Arnie and so many others. Just like Arnie, there will never be another like him. I will always be a fan of you and Mr. Palmer.
That second Jim Nantz story. Man, every time it gets me.
Nantz' comments made me cry. Twice.
His talk at Arnies funeral was incredible, my eyes were leaking pretty bad.
Dammit, stupid pollen
what a class act! Rest In Peace Arnie
A class act? What's that supposed to mean? He never spilled his drink?
Derek Worthington Class act means a real stand up person, very respectable.
Derek Worthington Disregard, you're a troll.
Wonderful video, Mr. Palmer will be missed. May God keep you Arnold.
I can’t imagine Arnold at the top of his driveway waving goodbye.chills.
Arnold Palmer was the King of golf. The world needs more quality people like The King.
Rest in Peace. Thanks for the memories. The King is dead, but will never be forgotten.
Elvis died in the 70s.
Best there is, best there was, best there ever will be! Mr. Palmer, you are the true king! May you rest in peace.
I never seen or heard Arnold Palmer speak except in a video game and i still miss him already. He sounded like a good man.

Made golf. Every professional golfer owes a debt of gratitude to the late, great Arnold Palmer and they all know it.
ABSOLUTELY !!
100% he was the first "big star" of the game...
He may have not been the greatest golfer ever to live, but he was certainly the most important.
The first big superstar
Nicklaus was the greatest, Palmer was #2
Correct Tiger Hogan Jack probably the three best but no doubt Arnold is on and near the top of the all time lists but no one is/was more important to the game

Class, class, class. You can see where Jack and Watson (and nearly everyone else) learned how to be professionals.
in this life or the next. one day, mr. king., we will see you again. and we hope you are still proud of us.
He lives forever as a legend.
Known as the "KING ", A. Palmer is the most popular golfer ever !!! 10 times more popular than Woods & Nicklaus combined !! ⛳ Arnie's Army numbered in the billions around the globe. ❤
... What a Life, What a Man, What an Inspiration, What a Legend.

That’s one of the greatest pieces I’ve ever seen
So impressed Wayne calls him Mr Palmer
Complete class
Complete class? What's that supposed to mean? He never spilled his drink?
what a douchbag you are.
So touching. Pure class.
class all the way
I saw him play at an LA Open. Very Charismatic!
Gotta love some Jim Nantz and Arnie
I remember getting his autograph at the Raleys senior golf rush at Rancho Murietta outside of Sacramento in the mid 80’s. I had a red hat and all we had was a red sharpie. I still have that hat.
I still can't watch this without tearing up.
I love golf. Not as much as my Wife and family. Great stories. Arnie was and will always always be Great a Person. Miss him.
“And off he went for one last journey around Augusta”
One of the best in the world/R.I.P. Arnie.
Arnold was the first super star of the sport
Arnold is integrity
Long live the King
Protect Jim Nantz at all costs.
I'm drinking Arnold Palmer right now
Who's cutting onions around here?
When Arnold tells you not to lay up...you pull out the fairway wood
RIP the king
Elvis died in the 70s.
Derek stfu Arnie the king
He may not be the best golfer, but he is the GREATEST golfer. The perfect athlete a father would want a son to look at as a role model
ARNOLD HAS BEEN A GREAT INFLUENCE
HE WAS LIKE A DANNY THOMAS - GOOD INFLUENCE
CHARITABLE
URZETTA HAS SAVED MANY LIVES
that 1 one person who disliked this video should quit golf...
That person should seek out someone who is in despair and help them, because Artie would.
quit life not only golf!
Boy I miss him
Nantz made me cry and then I was immediately sickened by seeing Patrick Reed.
Arnold Palmer was never about himself. It was the game that mattered. Golf is where it is today because of Arnold Palmer
Aet
RIP Arnie!
The first sports superstar that paved the way for the rest in all sports!
Patrick Reed should be ashamed of himself!
He was the best, and one of the last real gentleman of the sport!
The common man’s man….. net worth 850m you’d think he was the guy that was the greeter at Walmart …. Sweet kind a true gentleman
I'm related to him
Chris O’Donnell should play Arnie in a movie!! They look a little bit alike!!
Today Commemorates Arnold Palmer's 90th Birthday
RIP
He was the king of the world on so many Sundays, but he went out in a big pharma commercial with Kevin Nealon. Marie Antoinette's head didn't fall that far.
If I could have one mulligan n life. It would be to drive 90 minutes to Bay Hill and watch Arnie play in person.
Is far more important to the game of golf, than Jack was
His drink is amazing rip tho
The title of "the king " was not big enuff
Omg the guy from the Arizona can is dead
But seriously rip he was greatest golfer ever
The Wold was better when he was here..
What did he ever do, that wasn't for himself? His life, can be summed up thus, "It was all about me."
your a sad human being Derek
Frisky Bottomsuuater Put away your wee wee, no one wants to see it.
