In an age where literally everything is becoming ludicrously expensive, it's amazing to see you change this product to be free instead of paid. Good on you for doing this, and I hope it becomes a huge success for you. Great work!
Well I would much rather foster a community and creativaty than create a fracture in the maker space. I really hope it goes well too. Even if just 20% of poeple who use it gave $5 once that would be amazing.
@@Keep-Making I feel this is why Gridfinity has done so well. It's not necessarily perfect. But it's a really good base and it's open source. Which while open source isn't a magic wand, it's quite compatible with 3d printing community of designers. People just ran with it.
You've done some amazing design and prototyping work. I wish you luck monetizing your designs. It's a tough balance to strike. And for people that spend stupid money on printers and filaments were a bit dumb in not paying for designs.
I think if this has come out before honeycomb wall you'd have floored it. But being as compatible as you can with those of us who've already started with honeycomb and Gridfinity you'll make the "I'll try that" factor really appealing.
👍👍
I think it's pretty fucked he tried in the first place when its literally just other open source projects cobbled into one project. Probably was threatened with lawsuits
I thought this was the case, then I quickly hit the "Supporter Part" paywall restrictions. You can't get certain parts unless you pay $5/month. So much for "free" 🤦
Just keep in mind that he said he used about 30 kg of filament, so this version of free probably cost around $600 ;)
This should have been shot in the style of a late 90's infomercial.
It *almost* has the energy. I need this edit in my life lol
Honestly appreciate the change of direction. Understand how much effort you’ve put in and that you need to make a living out of this. The least we can do is subscribe share and help elevate your profile visibility.
Thanks for the understnading broj
This is honestly one of the coolest storage solutions to come out of the 3d printing movement
Thanks Chris Watson ☺
I can very much agree on this. Amazing! So well-thought-out, well designed, strong, versatile and aesthetically pleasing as well. ❤
Awesome stuff! Finally finished mine after 40h of printing and 4 days of work and I am loving it. Thanks for making this awesome pegboard.
So excited about this! Just started printing a honeycomb wall system today but this is waaaaaay cooler! Super glad I saw this after printing my first panel. This is already amazing but I think once all the great minds in our community get the hang of it it's going to be a gamechanger!
I can't stop raving about this, the best 3D printing project so far; incredibly well-designed, clever, strong, versatile, revolutionary. Thank you so much.
Watched this video yesterday afternoon, printed a 4x4 panel as a test, signed up as a supporter and immediately printed an 11x11 panel, some mounting hardware and the tools. Thank you for the great project and organized website!!! I’ll be printing much more.
I love how it covers all the functionality of all the other boards and then some in this system! I'm definitely going to have to give it a print
Glad you like it! I can't wait to see what you get up to with it!
Always thought the hexagon system was bad. I was about to say the threaded systems make more sense for strength, and you just had to then mention how there's also threads here. And a gridfinity-like storage system to match? Just perfect. Much appreciated that you're releasing this into the community instead of absurd attempts to clamp down on ideas that are easy to reproduce and creates pointless division.
The hexagons are going to be really weak. Not a great idea.
Orient the hexagon board however you like. Imagine a load hanging from it going straight down. That load is transferred through the hexagonal grid.
With hexagons, there can be no continuous support in the direction of the load.
With squares, the load is always supported on both sides though the whole height of the board.
Edit - Take a look at a video called "Hexagons Are NotSoGreatAgons" for more detailed information.
Your enthusiasm is infectious. Please never stop doing what you do!
I've been on the fence about printing any of the storage/board solutions because they all felt limited, but this! This has my attention! I've already seen the quality of work you provide with the blender for 3D printing course and will definitely share this with all my friends! Thanks!
can't wait to see what you all make 😊
I knew I was fan ages ago, but man….this is it! This is what I wanted gridfinity to be, this is exactly what it means to be an open source maker, and you’re brilliant man. The way you integrated and thought of everything is insane. Amazing job man. Life long fan now.
As soon as i get my FDM printer I'll be printing this galore! exactly what i need for my craft room and my garage! I'll definitely be doing a donation for it and all the hard work you've put into this! its just brilliant!
Can't wait to see it in action!
Dude. This is amazing work from you. I will support you without even having downloaded a file yet because of your attitude about sharing to the community. Thank you.
Truely appreciate the change. I'll be looking deeper into this over the holidays.
Amazing that you listened to the feedback. I thought this had some really interesting ideas but the subscription/pricing was a bit much.
I subscribed and look forward to your future videos. Keep making videos on the details of the system. Best of luck on your UA-cam journey
This is amazing!!! I liked the look of the honeycomb wall.. but this looks and function so much better!!! Thank you for your hard efforts.. I really hope it is a big success!!!
Awesome storage system, I think this will be one of the best solutions for while. It's clear you put a lot of time and effort into this, great work!
this is absolutely insane! appreciate the amount of work that was put into this project.
I have started printing some of the parts and it is amazing how much better these fit together. I really like the design and look forward to what you are working on. Thank you so much for all your hard work. This is amazing compared to others that I have tried.
I love hearing it kf4bzt, I have really tested this out over about 5 diffrent printers to make it feel just right. So glad it's coming across 🦾
Thank you so much for making this! What an awesome project. I've printed out my multiboard and though I have just got started filling it with accessories, I can already tell how nice and useful it's going to be. Amazing work!
This is so cool, and inspiring. You've obviously thought so deeply about how everything works together. It's awesome! .
Looks incredible, once I grow beyond my current WallControl panels, probably expanding using this!
I'll probably need to figure out some gridfinity adapters for bins, since I've already got so many things in that system. They can proably compliment each other well in different ways though. I've got a lot of travel cases printed for gridfinity already, so that might become on-the-go storage, and MultiBoard be workshop organization!
I've been playing around with these for the last couple of days and I've got say... incredibly well designed and thought out. I've been nerding out very hard. 10/10
Awesome project man! You're a gentlemen for sharing it with the community. Appreciate the hard work!
This is awesome, but your generocity is more awesome. This is one few things that I actually look foward to donating to once I can. I'm so excited to try this stuff out! Im already in the discord and ready to see this community grow!
Thank you Cyberoverkill!
Wonderful work.
Became YT member to show support.
Can not wait to see where this system goes.
Awesome storage system. It's clear you put a lot of time and effort into this, great work!
Absolutely stunning achievement. Congratulations!!!
This is amazing storage solution. I was more than happy to subscribe to support your work.
This is amazing thank you for making such a wonderful organization tool. And making it free is incredibly generous you have my support good sir.
This is really cool! Amazing work, I cant wait to build a tool wall and see this project take off!
Kudos for this hard work and for taking a risk on making it available to all. ♡
Have to admit it's so far the best concept by far.
Great to see it's not a subscription model. Definitely willing to support your work and to help extending the multi wall eco system.
I must say I've ditched HSW after trying it. But the shortcomings seem all too be addressed by multi wall while keeping backward compatibility. In example it being two sided or it being horizontal in all cases.
Keep making!
i just started watching your vid. i am at 1:12, paused the video, went to the site and i really "dont need to see it anymore" to be convinced of the geniosity o your work. came here to say my thanks and congratulations, and now i will go back to the video. great content, you are very skilled.
bro you are so pourd and happy of your work this is dope yesssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss
It surprised me to see your video again in notification. But now I’m not just surprised, but shocked! First release was inspiring and fascinating. But the inability to pay for this system and get files to test because of sanctions was devastating. Hope I could subsidise you in the bright future, but now I hope to contribute in this project another way. Also wish i could program and help with cad sketcher. Keep making you're awesome!
mentioning gridfinity in the first few seconds helped answer my question. thanks!
This is awesome! Can't wait to print this out.
This IS AMAZING this Will have a huge impact in my life. Only can say thank you! Can wait to try it
This is incredible! Congrats !
I loved it, this year I am organizing my maker space at home and it will be perfect for it
For the record I really have no issue with the subscriptions. Just not able to do one right now.
I do however love free and it is incredible that you putting for free.
Thank you.
I’m blown away, just happened to stumble across this video! Fookin Brilliant!
your design is just awsome for all the pars that support is not even needed!
I already have honeycombs and thread boards in my home, so...
I would of course try multi boards. The flat screw is such a nice idea and it seems to be quite easy to build a box.
Its the first time i watch a video from this channel. This is amazing work.Keep it up. 💪😀
Maybe finally I'll be motivated to organize my workbench. I've printed a few pieces, and love how the screws and push-fit things work and feel.
So happy to hear your enjoying it! It's been a LONG time coming with a STUPID amount of testing around it. Funny story I was 250 peices in and then decided to do a FULL redesign as I wanted it to be double sided and stronger.
Very cool system. Can’t wait to see how it prints. 👍
Literally never heard of your channel before. Kinda blown away by this. Definitely earned a like / subscribe. Gonna have to try this out.
I'm getting my first PLA printer next month once we close on our house, and I'm really excited to start printing this system! I'm a mini painter and woodworker, and there's just much potential here to get my hobbies under control. I know you've made it free now, but I'll very much be joining at one of the paid tiers to show my support!
This is such a nice Christmas surprise, I really like this! So glad you made it available for free.
My pleasure JoelRehra, I can't wait to see what everyone makes and the community that builds up around it 😊
this project is incredible
Extremely cool! Might have to use this in my garage.
Thank you! This is so amazing!
Well if this isnt worthy of a like and a comment, i dont know what is! Fantastic product, and giving things for free is unheard of these days. You inspired me with your excellent precision modelling course and i am now designing and making my own products. Very big thankyou, very much appreciated
Thank you presidentskroob, I'm so happy i've been able to help you on your maker jeorney 😊
I don't know if you're the person to do it, but the thinking behind the design(s) needs to be a documentary/class/analysis to help other people think in such a clever and functionally useful way. if there was a book, similar to "the way things work" but covered the thinking behind some of these designs, i'd buy it as a reminder of how to approach design, as inspiration when I'm working on a mechanical problem, etcetera.
Looks really cool. Especially the threads and pegboard. Sadly I'm already quite a few spools into hex wall and gridfinity. And the compatibility with hex seems to require the wall units to be replaced.
Hopefully you'll pick up people who haven't started yet.
Very cool! I already have a pegboard, so I wouldn't go hog wild replacing everything with a whole system that needs time to print, but I do think I will check out some of the features and parts and see how they do. Well designed, great project overall!
Awesome work! You have my support!
Genuinely blew my mind.
I am creating a Maker Space for an Institution and I am sure to make this Multi-Board figure in the students projects.
Very interesting design. Looking forward to playing with it.
Wow, nice job!
Just paid for Multi Maker tier ;)
Can't wait to print and use them!
I've just finished 500h of 3d printing my honeycomb storage wall 😂
But I love your design and the cross compatibility.
I might give it a try in the future
this looks really awesome!
I really recommend you upload this to printables/thangs/thingiverse/whatever for discoverability. The reason gridfinity took off was because there was a large community rally behind it, and while this project has a considerably stronger start than gridfinity, I still wanna see it grow to incredible heights :)
Glad it is free to the community now best of luck for the future. I will slip a donation over
welcome to prototyping 101. took me about 4years of work to get my ideas to a workable product. if I had access to my own industrial grade laser cutting machines it would have been around a year and a half of work. i spent around 2 and a half years just waiting on the factory to either return email quotes or waiting on them making it. so 6 months is just still nothing. amazing job on these parts!! this is what creativity and ingenuity looks like before greedy big corporations get their hands on things
Much better than honeycomb storage wall! The attachment mechanism of that system was seriously difficult
Awesome. I actually want to use this.
Im soon going to move and get a new office/gaming room. I was going to buy a bunch of ikea pegboards and their stuff but I think Im gonna go the mulitboard way. Looks so good and it means i can print everything by myself. Im going to give u a coffe for your hard work and also im a sub now. =) thank u so much for your hard work. Im so pumped
Thanks for keepin it real
I like the idea of the pole brackets to where I could make a frame of sorts that can be on the ground.I have a few of the Honeycomb pieces that right now are attached with command strips because where Im at not allowed to make any kind of holes in the walls.
Wow, I’ve throughly gridfinity and honeycomb both had their issues. This might be the best one yet
I was worried when I noticed the old video went from unlisted to deleted/unpublished. I just printed my very first HSW panel today, but looks like that will turn into a different project. Going to start grabbing some of your panels and seeing how it all works out. Thanks for the excellent design.
I look forward to seeing the results!
The reason gridfinity is the best isn’t because it’s most optimal
It’s because it has the most compatable files
Basically your cross comparability for honeycomb wall is cool and good
Nah, that’s a thing! UA-cam recommendations can deliver something valuable, super effort, thanks for sharing this with the maker community! ❤
Absolute genius!
The moment you said it still works with traditional peg board stuff you piqued my interest. I’ve been looking for a modern pegboard solution and stumbled on this.
Really interesting system you’ve built up.
Thank you a lot for this, i'm sorry i'm a broke student that can't contribute economically to your efforts, but i always do my best at spreading the source of the knowledge and ecouraging others to make donations.
Thank you a lot for making earth a better place.
This looks REALLY awesome. I'll give it a try ... printer is working already ... if this works for me you have one more supporter! Great work anyways!
Amazing! I'd love it if we could eventually get the panel sections mass produced using injection molding, seems like such a waste to run a printer for a week to generate enough panels to fill a wall when most people will just need a bunch of large identical parts. That's what prevented me from the honeycomb wall as well.
Also, I'm sure the gridfinity gurus will come up with a few options for interconnectivity soon :)
All of us thinking about organization. My mind went straight to a new version of connect 4 board game! 😂
Que Máquina! Eres un genio!
Gracias!
I was so happy to hear you say PLA. I was afraid you'd need ABS or PC for strength, and I just don't have a setup that can print those. I can't wait to try it out!
Ya I'm a PLA fan boy and I know that at the end of the day PLA is the way to go so everyone can get as much out of it as possible.
PLA is the strongest of the all you've mentioned, however with some drawbacks. Stefan from CNC kitchen has put some light to the strengths capabilities of the popular filaments.
@@sergtimosh The strongest? It has some beneficial qualities and can be very rigid but it is certainly not the strongest.
Personally, I'm printing anything that'll be under constant load out of ABS. It's stronger and most importantly, far more resistant to creep and deformation than PLA, PETG and even Nylons. I've run into enough problems in the past to never make that mistake on big projects again.
ABS/ASA is far easier to work with than people think. I have a Voron and other custom printers but I still knock out ABS on an old Ender 3 Pro running Klipper every day. You mainly just need a basic enclosure, a bed set to ~105C with a PEI surface and a nozzle around 250 C. Everything else is tuning a profile and keeping the PEI clean with a drop of acetone on a cloth (NOT on the bed directly!). Avoid using IPA for cleaning. Obviously keep the filament dry and try the "low odor" variants but still make sure there's some decent ventilation.
Once I learned how to print ABS, it's pretty much all I use and can lead to some beautiful parts.
@@JJFX- can you elaborate more on what is wrong with IPA as cleaning agent?
2023, Jonathan: "Why do we have 2 different storage frameworks? Honeycomb and Gridfinity. I'll create All-in-one!"
2024: We have 3 different storage frameworks... :)
This is awesome! Gotta to fire up the P1P and get to printing.
You're a LEGEND
Loved your video 4 years ago "Pegboards are useless, the power of French Cleats" lol.
OK, Ill give you a props for this one.
Love this idea. Subscribing because im excited to see what comes next.
this looks amazing. so much better than gridfinity. gotta take a deeper look into this once im back home after Christmas
I will be not only printing this for myself but for my buddy who just moved out and needs them
Wow.. this blows anything and everything I've ever seen out of the water. Bye bye pegboard and Honeycomb, been nice knowing ya.
Holy crap! 3000hrs in 5 months? That’s 23hrs per day. And 16hrs per day in 6 months. Huge commitment! Haha. No, this is cool. Glad I haven’t printed my HSW yet.
Holy crap, well done
This is so crazy multi function bord. Compability with the famous hexagon bord. From the hart i thank you from change the road for this fantastic bord. Now community going to take this to moon.🎉
I can't wait to see it! I'm happy to bring more to the comminuty 😊
This is awesome thanks !
Good thing there are still shelves and baseplates for multiboard and gridfinity.
As always. Thanks for all you do !!
Cheers Corantra!
In a future video, I'd really like to know more about how the threaded inserts can be used... it seems like they mostly are for extending distance out, but maybe I'm just not thinking creatively enough. Great stuff!
