First time here loved your reaction. I’m here for TOOL always. This band changed my life a few times over. They are intelligent musicians, master of their craft. If you keep doing more I’ll sub. Thanks
Here for Tool!! Great reaction. Spiral out! Keep going! 🌀 Four musical Fecking geniuses who somehow manage to work together and produce some of the best music ever written.
Yes, more Tool. I suggest startiing from the begining and doing their whole discography 🤘🌀 (video feedback: the volume for the viewers could be turned up, maybe a lot)
9:13 humans are currently 44 chromosomes and 2 sex cells let’s strive to evolve to 46 and 2 and if you go down the Tool rabbit hole you will find that the singer makes great music with two more bands called A Perfect Circle and Puscifer which he is right now touring with both for his birthday celebration turning 60 years old and still drawing big crowds
Best band on the planet. Do yourself a favor and do their entire catalogue front to back.Their evolution is mind-blowing. The #ToolArmy will turn out in force.
97 baby here, I’ve always been a hip hop kind of guy, when I got exposed to Tool, because I knew not on person in my circle that know of them, but when I got exposure to them it was over from there!! My favorite band now forsure
Wanna go for a ride? Listen to Wings for Marie part 1. Then “Judith” by Perfect Circle… Maynard’s other band). Then Wings for Marie part 2. Look up the meaning of Wings before listening. It is, imo, one of the most beautiful pieces of music ever written. Of any genre. It poignantly allows you to feel every emotion of loss… the pain, the grief, the rage… individually and all at once. It’s amazing. And I always tell people: after reacting, lay down in the dark with your best headphones, away from any camera or other distraction and listen again. Just for you. Tool can take you places. “Easy” to digest tool songs: Aenema, The Pot, Grudge, Right In Two But you seem like a deep dive kinda guy who’s not afraid of complexity so: Descending, Lateralus, Fear Inoculum…. the list goes on. Tool literally does not have a bad song. They just keep getting better. Spiral out! Tool army will SHOW UP and thoroughly enjoy watching your journey. 🌀
Tool is timeless each song hits enjoy the ride I hope you digest it all as it is deserved keep it up! When you have time re listen laying down dark room eyes closed good headphones let you mind paint the pictures 😊
46 & 2 captured me and peeled back my inner ear, forcing my insatiable desire for more. Everyday I pick apart a TOOL riff or beat that picks me apart. They transcend any musical act today and the first time I saw em live was in the 9o’s. Saw last year and I’m still shook. They intertwine musical documentaries enhanced with Maynard’s lyrics. And the digital light show. Kids will never know
One of the great things about Tool I remembered as you read the liner notes is they love trolling their own fans in their notes. It’s not a theory. They’re trolling. And that makes them even better
If you like Tool, you will love the lead singer Maynard’s other musical masterpiece group A Perfect Circle- not a day goes by where I don’t listen to these Amazing Musicians bring sweet rock heaven to my ears!
@@RQG-REACTSif you listen to reflection you gotta listen to the holy trinity. Start at disposition and listen all the way to triad in one take. All songs connect
Go on the journey man. Whole discography is worth it. Start from opiate all the way to Fi. Completely worth it. Changed my life. Btw love that Jackson. Beautiful guitar
Haha... Ask for drums and Danny delivers. One of the best alive, several genres. Catching Tool's vibe is tough because the group's approach with time sigs. Most other bands are Merry-go-rounds and Tool is a rollercoaster. Keeps your brain engaged. Love it. Tool's been around for ages, but has a super tight catalog. Here's a suggestion that follows your journey in prog. You'll hear the evolution, cheers! ✔1993 Undertow, Sober ✔1996 Ænima, Forty Six & 2 2001 Lateralus, "The Grudge" 2006 10,000 Days, "Right in Two" 2019 Fear Innoculum, "Pneuma" Then return to 1992 Opiate EP, "Opiate"
Check out Tool, 10,000 Days and Wings for Marie. A couple or songs about his mother who died after living roughly 27 years in a wheelchair after a stroke. Listen to them together as they are a pair, but you will dig the music and especially the lyrics
I mean Bass and Drums are a forefront in Tools music so almost any song is good in that regard. "The Pot" is a good, easy to listen for folks new to Tool but still an amazing song to listen to. If you want level 2 Tool checkout "The Grudge" or "The Patient"
The Pot is definitely a good next one. Right in Two is really solid. If you're going into the Tool rabbit hole you have to know; every last sound that you hear is maticulously calculated and thought about. There will be long intros, long breakdowns, and a lot of weird time signatures. But it is phenomenal. Nothing is produced to be radio friendly.
Welcome to what is Tool. Word of advice when reviewing Tool: DO, NOT, PAUSE, THE, SONG. You need to listen to its entirety before talking. Just listen during. Talk after. 🤟🏻
The lyrics are based on Jungian philosophy. If you wish to have a broader understanding of Tool then I recommended expanding your philosophical horizons.
Did you say bass and drums??? You'll love RUSH, a 3 piece band that was highly influential to Tool. Danny Carey says Neil Peart was his favorite drummer. A good place to start if you are new to RUSH is Tom Sawyer. Here's a link: ua-cam.com/video/auLBLk4ibAk/v-deo.html
Easy explanation of the title. Our cells have 23 pairs of chromosomes, so 46. The song talks about change and evolution, so adding a new pair to the baseline 46 (or 23 pairs). This is the very base of the meaning, all the rest is pseudo-scientific esoteric bs that you may want to believe or not and that maybe inspired the lyrics, but the explanation I gave is tje base enough to explain the title.
dude, try out some songs other than Schism if you had a hard time headbobbing to this song. ☠ I'm telling you this because Schism is popular, but it will trip you out on all the time changes. I only discovered them in 2019. Lucky me, got to experience a full new album without all the waiting all the other fans had to go through. Lol but srsly, though. I learned so much about music, and time signatures, just by listening to their songs. It's a whole experience. The deal with TOOL is finding the "pulse" of the song. If you find that you'll head bob to it like any other regular 4/4 song.
You would probably do better to look up the meaning of this song. It's got a few concepts in one. Start with Robert Wilson's psychology of the Shadow and how we have to embrace that side of ourselves to eventually evolve. You said it's hard to headbang.. with Tool, the more you listen, the more you will grasp they have a general beat or groove. Yes it changes but it's more individual instruments may change but all will make a general groove. I think you will dig Tool the more you listen
look. longtime tool fan.... greatest tool truth as a carnal man, tool, live, makes you reconsider if you've ever heard them as was intended. greatest tool truth after coming to Christ, are these song Christian? greatest truth, Maynard is on his journey. But Christ loves him. As He did every heathen. Trust Christ. Your own intellect only brings more beiber. oh, you can write a tool song? do it, ill wait. With just your lips, ill allow it... Now put together 4 complete different objects in your house, and make them work cordially... People made those 4 things. Something beyond our understanding made all physical things. And somehow, even thoough seemingly determined to destroy themselves. They dont... They DONT? Hows that work? Because God and His love. God bless anyone with questions, and those who think this is folly. I love you Believe the Gospel. Jesus Christ loves you. We hop to spend our eternity with you.
If you like bass and drums, you are in the right spot. Tool army will support you as you discover this band. I've been a Tool fan since 1994

Can you bring the level up on the song a bit. It's pretty quiet
One of the great things about Tool I remembered as you read the liner notes is they love trolling their own fans in their notes. It’s not a theory. They’re trolling. And that makes them even better
See You Auntie 😉
Look up 46 and 2 in relation to Carl Jung.
i’ll check it out
Check out the Tool drum cam video of Danny
The best band of my lifetime! I just saw them in Corpus Christi a few months ago and it was AWESOME!

Great reaction. I am sure it has been said, but I recommend “the grudge”.
thanks
Tool is the ultimate ❤
You must check out Danny Carey’s live drum cam for Pneuma. The man is a beast behind the kit!
Great reaction. My only critique is it's a little quiet if you can turn the levels up. More tool please. Lateralus.
i’m not sure if i’m able to edit it without having to reupload but i’ll try

We could use some more volume.

The lyrics are based on Jungian philosophy. If you wish to have a broader understanding of Tool then I recommended expanding your philosophical horizons.

Four solos at once.

Regarding head banging while listening to TOOL, don’t be so rigid with the downbeat. The upbeat is just as prominent with their time signature style
✌️

Nice reaction. The music volume seems to be too low and your voice a bit to high in your posts. 👍
i’ve fixed it for future videos thanks for feedback
46 and 2, I think has to do with chromosomes
Add up your chromosomes... the +2 is a supposed mutation Maynard is striving to attain. or not.
