I like the speed but you need to pay more attention to detail and quality, first of all you need to program the new screen to the old screen serial numbers, secondly you need to replace the water proofing adhesive, lastly before you close the phone don’t forget to use a micro fiber towel to remove any dust and fingerprints you left inside. Just a word of advice anyone who reads this have a good day.

Thankfully they removed the pop up message for IOS 14.2 and later. I would have loved to see how to put the water proofing adhesive on correctly though, it’s very difficult to find a video that shows this feature.
Feedback. Having now watched a few of these iphone 12 repairs and successfully replaced my screen, you never mentioned how to overcome the seal when first opening the phone. I had to heat it, as doing it your way is next to impossible and definitely so if you want to keep the screen intact. Then there is removing the old seal and replacing it, to contend with.

Video was good in regards to the repair. However, disappointing after the repair never got to see the phone going by the apple logo. Would have liked to see if there was any issues or if any important display message popped or not.

haha, thats my bad. I should've considered beginners could easily shatter the screen doing that. I have 10 years experience so i just plow through the repairs lol.
@@odysseyphonerepair3769 lol yeah man, i got 12 years but still only been able to take them off free hand by applying heat, putting my thumb through the loop of a small suction cup and carefully lifting while using a curved screen disassembler without breaking. Only if they haven’t been opened of course. Once i get an unopened free 12 to play with, ill try this lol

Nice vid, but this repair won't work. The serial number of all the internal parts have to line up or the entire phone freaks out and says everything isn't genuine, down to the battery you didn't even touch😅😅
Are you sure? I have also seen the video by Hugh Jeffrey, but he swapped out the main board and the guy in this video here modified the display. Maybe the third party manufacturers have figured out a way that the iphone works with a new display

There is a way to mask that serial number. Chinese are better than apple, is hard for us citizens to understand it lol

@@MarcoFlores-um7cj nah the whole god damn phone will crash, there was a device called JC that you could burn the serial number of the screen and then copy the original serial number from 3 u tools to make the phone show the replaced screen the same serial number as the original one but that doesn't work in 12 models

I'd also add to bring the charge down below 20%. The reason is that there is still a fire hazard.

To make this work properly you’ll have to wait for a programmer device to come out for iPhone 12 to match the serial number for the new part so that it works without any error messages

@@user-rn6hz8pb9s usually you'll have to get those parts from China though so idk if you live in the US or not but typically you'll have to wait a while to get that part. It's usually best to go with a different manufacturer.

Just wondering anyone know why the screen keep blackout after the screen replacement? Tested on 3 different screen, but still the same. And went to the repair shop, and they can make the screen on when using their screen? It's weird... Would like to save a hundred bucks :(

Firstly, it's very scary replacing an iPhone or any phone's screen. Secondly, wouldn't this affect the water resistant paste thingy inside???
It would. But if your screen is broken then your phone wasn't going to be waterproof anyways.
If you’re apple certified you’re required to remove the old adhesive and place a new strip around the frame to restore 90% of water resistance. I’m not there yet but I do it on all my repairs

Is there a reason you didn't show the phone fully booted up? With how it's been released that you need GSX to do the repair correctly, the most important thing to show is if it is actually usable and whether it has issues or just shows a "genuine screen" message with a new screen. I don't see a reason why you wouldn't show it other than to hide the fact you actually used the same screen and it's not actually new?

So you didn’t check the camera at the end and everything you prefer to use a pry tool in between the frame and glass probably scratching the frame if you didn’t you got lucky and you say the lcd is worth a lot of money? No it’s not when lcd repairs come out they will be the cheap option what you are working on is an Oled screen and also if this was to be a new screen the phone would turn on since you need to code the new screen in🤦♀️shouldn’t be fixing phones let alone making videos on them
