DISASTER POOL RENO l Extreme Makeover / DIY Pool Reno / New Steps / Paving & Drainage

Don't you just hate it when you've just paid a contractor a boat load of cash and they stuff up your project? Especially on a pool area where you're supposed to be relaxing around? Well this project has it all, from knee-high steps to wonky pavers and everything in between. Watch how we put this project right and make it good again including some cool timelapse videos!
We start the pool renovation with the demo of the existing problem areas, removing the awkward steps and shoddy paving job. This was a tight space and made the work quite tricky. We got to rebuilding the retaining wall near the pool to widen the walkway and continued onto the steps to make them usable. In parallel, we ripped out all the old cobblestone paving, cleaned them off so we could re-use them and got to re-installing the pavers, allowing for the right drainage of water into the U-channel drains. We wrap up the video with a cool before and after revealing the minimal but impactful transformation.
