I know it’s supposed to be funny, but this made me emotional more than anything. I never played tennis at a very high level, but I played college baseball. When I was a kid, my dad would take me to a field and hit ground balls to me, fed side-toss, etc… I remember my relationship with him looking not too far off how this video portrayed it. Makes me grateful to have had him, but also shitty for acting like an ass to him sometimes. You often don’t notice those kinds of things until time moves on.
It's even more heartbreaking when the parents forces the kids to play and the kids hate it. But I can see the parent's sacrificing so much so it's a vicious cycle. Sometimes Parents need to stop trying to re-live through their kids and just support the kid with whatever they're passionate about.
lol great video. This relates to me a lot as my son is 11 and this is pretty close to our routine, just not all the tournaments just yet. My wife even works one day at the local tennis center so we can get the hookup on cheaper lessons and inside court when its free. I play with him a lot, so not as much ball feeding, I feel like I'm training my forever tennis partner, so its a win win as I'll always have someone to hit with.
Lol this video is supposed to be a funny skit .But it's the true reality of sole of these tennis fathers. I have a tennis dad and I never don't thank him for the sacrifice he makes on a day to day basis for my improvement .
Holy moly, you do have a twin brother… I think I could relate to this dad to some degree. And it makes me realize that I should appreciate my son more for being such a good kid… even though he does do things sometimes like the kid in the video😅

We were a little emotional while filming also. Thank you for this comment :) I relate so much to what you’re saying.
If my dad had half the interest in me playing tennis the dad in the video has, Id be incredibly happy
Every tennis parent in the world, no matter what language or race, relates to this video . Great stuff
Definitely. Thank you!
I showed this to my dad and he couldnt stop laughing at how accurate it was.

Here’s to all the unsung hero’s out there. All the tennis dads that sacrifice their own wants for the hope of a brighter future in their children.
