Candice, what you've done with these paintings.... it's my life. Why do I do what I do when I know what the result will be like. And how I will feel disappointed when the next day comes and I wake up to my failure. But thank God Almighty for his grace, mercy and forgiveness poured over top of my repentance. And still He's makes something beautiful of my life. 😭😢😑 Thank you, and there's such beauty in these paintings for me today. God Bless you Candice.
Ugh thank you sooo much! I have been wondering what I’ve been doing wrong to get those cracks. I thought it was the amount of paint or uneven flow. But temperature totally makes sense. Thank you so much!
Candice.....😥 My heart breaks for you. Those were beautiful pieces, but I know you're very talented and you can paint them again. Thank you for willing to show us the mistakes that can happen. Every artist talks about cracks and crazing and now I really know what they've all been talking about, unfortunately. Still, all 3 pieces were a great tutorial!!!😊💗💗💗 Take care, Lori 💙
So beautiful! Thank you for documenting the cracking fiasco as well, such good knowledge to pass on and be aware of! (I often work in a hot room and I've notice it definitely affects drying times just while doing the pour!) As unfortunate as the cracking was, I have to say, one of them was rather beautiful in itself, almost looked like it was part of the overall effect... makes one wonder if crackle paste could be utilized in paint pouring somehow, to get controlled cracks that flow with the paint...
Thank you for sharing this. The cracks are really interesting too. And now I know how to avoid such cracks should I want to avoid them. Keep up the good work!
Thank you for the tip! I did not know about the extreme temperatures and how it relates to cracking, so thank you again. He’s turned out beautiful! I think number two is my fave...💚
In AZ I am the queen of cracks. I'm now putting an cold pack next to the piece and covering with a box in the coolest room. Still if there is too much paint on the canvas...cracks.
That and its never good to leave that much paint on your canvas or it will crack no matter what the temps are ... there was still A LOT of paint left on at least 2 of the canvases. I won't even use my paints unless they are at normal room temps ...too cold or too hot can both really mess with your paints . They were pretty colors together though. 1😥😥😥
I think because the paint was just too thick it cracked. My niece does pour paintings and does not really run onto the cracking. She let's it run and she uses an agent mixed in her pour that helps keep it a bit thinner so it stops the cracks. I also never saw the dryer process but I LOVE LOVE LOVE that technique! It turned out so beautiful especially the last one was my favorite!! Thank you for your time ♥️
There is a Japanese technique with pottery where are you glue it back together and paint over it with gold. I wonder what it would be like to paint over those cracks with gold leaf or a highly reflective gold paint. But it is really good to know that leaving your paintings and a warm or cold garage to dry will make some crack because I didn’t know that end it has saved me from having that happen, unless of course it’s something I intend to add to a painting :-) thanks for sharing. In spite of the cracks really pretty pours however
Now watch when I try to get the cracks, they won’t come😂 but I want them, specifically so I can run over them with a super metallic silver... ooh I can’t wait
Never seen anyone else do a cushion like yours, it is a wonderful idea for negative space. I personally love how the cracking looked, I know cracking is bad but it really is pretty and adds character. I wonder if the medium that causes cracking would work to make the rest of the paintings look intentionally cracked.
Beautiful pours Candice!! And thank you so much for the tip, this happened to me on my last pour and I wasn’t sure why. It all makes perfect sense now since I too left my pour in a hot room to dry lol 🤦🏾. Thank you so much for sharing 😊💞💞
My studio is in my garage and I leave my paintings there to dry, no cracks yet... well let's pray that don't happen to me! Beautiful artwork I THINK.. THAT'S THE BEAUTY OF ART IT'S NEVER A RIGHT OR WRONG WAY
Thank you for cracking info! So helpful! We have had heat wave in southern Vermont, and cracking cracking cracking drying in the garage ...Duuhhh, now I know why. Basement is better place, then, for drying now ... Basement was where I began pouring last winter ... Something to return to roots, eh? Thanks so much! I love love love watching your videos 😁💕💕💕🎶🐦🎶💎
Thank you for the tip.. I had cracking and now I do why. Is the cracking in warm temps more prevalent because of thinner paint where a thicker pour would do better in higher temps?
No it just the opposite. Extreme heat is a problem regardless of the paint density but if the paint is too thick it will often crack just for that reason alone (in my experience).
I'm going to follow your recipe and consistency of warm honey. I've just started to paint and upload and struggle with pours and dutch pours. This video has been very helpful 😈
I love the cracking. I thought adding the black on top of all the other colors was counterproductive since the colors were hidden by the cracking allows those colors to show through.
I know you said the cracks weren’t meant to happen but I’d call that a happy accident. I think think it looks kind of cool and would look even better with a couple of layers of resin over the whole thing to smooth over and varnish everything.
When doing pouring do you mix the paint with anything so the colors don’t like Mix and turn brown ?? I’ve heard you can use elmers glue to Mix it I’m new and love your channel and really trying to learn! Any tips please anybody???!
If you are using Elmer's glue then make sure its Elmer's Glue All and not the school glue kind. If you are getting a muddy look after doing a pour then its likely because your paint is too thin.
Shalom, I ran onto your page searching for something else, and I’m glad I did. Since I am unable to paint because of my living conditions, I choose to watch other passionate artists’ just to get that feeling that I I’m physically painting as well. I must say that I love your artwork. I started acrylic painting in April 2019 just to find a cleansing catharsis I taught myself how to & I paint from me spirit. I appreciate ya utilization of alllllllllllll colors as they are US. I sincerely appreciate ya talents, the beauty of ya colored-flowed technics, & ya broad radius of, in my words: “#DoDahDamYuMMThANG-NoooLIMIT: created by FrazierDr52💯🌼🌷🌻🌹🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙂
Maybe it’s bc I’m new to this, but if u hadn’t said it wasn’t supposed to be cracked, I would’ve never known.... i think the cracks give it more definition... I’m definitely going to be trying this next weekend
I got cracking when I accidentaly left my hair dryer on hot. It dried the outer paint too quickly, forming a film that cracked when the paint underneath dried and expanded.
New sub. I have to try a Dutch pour. One question. Do you HAVE to have the blow dryer attachment??? And how thick does the paint need to be??? The consistency of honey???
What is the right temperatur i degrees celsius? I’m so fascinated with pouring acrylic, but have not yet learnt how to do it - so excuse my lack of knowledge please ❤️
I think these are beautiful in spite of the cracks. The colors are
Beautiful.
I’m doing my first acrylic pour tomorrow and I’m getting ideas this is so helpful thanks! 😊
This is simply... magnificent!!! With cracks!!! With no pasta crack painting!!! Youpi ! So no AC for drying. Thanks, Candice, you are the best! 😜😜😜
I actually like the cracked look❤
WOW. Tysm for all of the information in the description box! My sister in law (baby #2 in the fall!
That's AWESOME and thank you!
Thanks for sharing 👍 this bit but important information 👍
Candice, thanks for sharing the dry results and explaining what happened and why.
You are so welcome!
Amazing and beautiful

The cracks look kinda cool though. Especially with the color peeking through.
I agree. It gives the painting a little extra character!
I love cracks, fill them with gold👍🏼
Ugh thank you sooo much! I have been wondering what I’ve been doing wrong to get those cracks. I thought it was the amount of paint or uneven flow. But temperature totally makes sense. Thank you so much!
But they are STILL beautiful. The cracks add character
I think the cracks add something to the art. Maybe something spooky. I actually love it.
I kind a like the cracking in it because it reminds me of a beautiful black lava rock to me it gives it texture to the painting.
The cracks are what make it so great in my opinion.
Candice.....😥

Thank you so much!
I also love the cracks, happened a couple times to me, but I felt like it added interest to the piece 🎨❤️ my sis agreed!

Oh wow they look amazing 👏
With the cracks those are more beautiful 😍 love them!
Love them all
Still beautiful pieces despite the cracks....lovely colours too...great work!

Those cracks add something to the paintings and are beautiful. Idk. Maybe it's the noob in me but I like them. 🤷🏾♀️
Uugh! Such pretty colors though! Thank you for the tip...never really thought about the temps in a room when drying! Thank you for that!

These are terrific. Your explanations are wonderful. Thank you so much.
Thank you for the paint cracking explanation. It’s happened to me. Ugh. Paintings are still beautiful. ❤️
I don't mind the cracking, still very pretty.

Oh! I love Kitsugi! That's a wonderful idea! The next time a painting cracks, I'll see if it works to highlight the Crack!
Thank you for this. Been getting supplies to do this and this is a helpful, simple way to start. Much appreciated
You are so welcome!
Marvelous 🎉🎉🎉🎉👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾💯
Very cool. Thank you.
At first I didn't like them, but after they dried they looked a lot different to me, even with the cracking, I think they came out very pretty! 😸

Sharing is caring!
Two lovely pours Candice
Ah no, sorry that it cracked like that! And thank you for showing us.
I like the cracking.
The cracks are nice
I like the cracking,well done 👍
Thanks 👍
I would have thought the cracking was on purpose because it’s so beautiful.
I really love this technique, bravo for your work
WOW❤

Thank you! All the info are valuable for a beginner,💚👍
btw, love cracking, its very cool
Very nice!
Would be nice if the steps include how to mix the paint.
Still looks beautiful

Glad it was helpful!
Beautiful
It's very beautiful ❤️😻
Thank you! 😊
Wowwwww😍😍😍
Just beautiful and funny, I like the cracking effect. Nice mistake to a newbie to your channel and this art.
Got it. Thank you!
I love your videos and your art! I saw how you're filming and it's brilliant. 👏👏👏
I'm going to follow your recipe and consistency of warm honey. I've just started to paint and upload and struggle with pours and dutch pours. This video has been very helpful 😈
Thank you. They are beautiful. Is your dryer on cool or hot? How long do you typically leave them to completely dry? Do you seal it, with what?
I believe heat removes any bubbles. I seal my art with epoxy and love it!
great tutorial 😊 thx for sharing!! 💕
I love the cracking. I thought adding the black on top of all the other colors was counterproductive since the colors were hidden by the cracking allows those colors to show through.
Very nice. Does too much paint cause cracking?
Yes it does
This was very helpful, thank you!
Nice! I love the colors! Great work.
What is a good formula for a single color base coat? Like the black one in this video.
The cracks look good to me..
How do you get the cells?
I know you said the cracks weren’t meant to happen but I’d call that a happy accident. I think think it looks kind of cool and would look even better with a couple of layers of resin over the whole thing to smooth over and varnish everything.
I’m glad to have learned something though about what causes it, what not to do. Thank you. Will the paint peel because there are cracks in it??
No, it will not peel
Beautiful colors! Wonder if you could play with the cracks to make them appear like a very old painting... aged?! Just a thought. 🙂
That's a nice idea!
When doing pouring do you mix the paint with anything so the colors don’t like Mix and turn brown ?? I’ve heard you can use elmers glue to Mix it I’m new and love your channel and really trying to learn! Any tips please anybody???!

Amazing. I love your channel. I’ve been learning a lot here! Thanks for posting! 😀🕊
Love the technique.do you just use fluid mediums or do you use additives?
Awh....🤦🏽♀️. They were beautiful!!!
Hello Candice does it really matter as to what kind of acrylic paint you use .
Is this type of painting is possible to make in water colour
wow this is very cool, i'd like to try this. very inspirational. following you now and i cant wait to see what's next👍
How did you get all those cells ? Very pretty 😍 💕
Can you tell me who’s playing this beautiful music
Love those colors!!! It’s too bad about your paintings. They were pretty!
Would we not get the same results without using as much black? And could we get the same results with just black base coating? Ty God Bless
What are you using? Is it a blow dryer?
Maybe it’s bc I’m new to this, but if u hadn’t said it wasn’t supposed to be cracked, I would’ve never known.... i think the cracks give it more definition... I’m definitely going to be trying this next weekend
Dose the black have the pour ingredient in it too?
Buenos días desde Zaragoza España me encantan sus trabajos pero no sé cuánto tiempo tardan en secar para poderlos barnizar muchas gracias 😘😘
Can we do it without that attachment on the end of the hair dryer or no?
I got cracking when I accidentaly left my hair dryer on hot. It dried the outer paint too quickly, forming a film that cracked when the paint underneath dried and expanded.
Could you tell me what acrylics are diluted with? thank you.
Absolutely love these colors!! What's the song? I love it!
New sub. I have to try a Dutch pour. One question. Do you HAVE to have the blow dryer attachment??? And how thick does the paint need to be??? The consistency of honey???
Yes, the dryer attachment is very important in guiding the flow of your paint (otherwise the air flow is to aggressive )
@@CandiceColorArt thank you
*Thank you for that drying tip, but can't cracks be seen as painting character?😉😉😉💖💖💖😁😁😁*
What is the right temperatur i degrees celsius? I’m so fascinated with pouring acrylic, but have not yet learnt how to do it - so excuse my lack of knowledge please ❤️
What's a good temperature from 75 to 80. Degrees??? Humidity..50.percent ok?
Do you do it on canvas or something else?
@@ChristieDavis-jx8gp It’s all done on canvas
What pouring medium do you use to flood your canvas?
What kind off liquid paint is it?
why do you use the black paint? could you use just the colors or a white base also?
