My imagination ran wild with this game as a kid from England. It made me fascinated with old buildings and ancient history. I'm from a sleepy medieval village and the church used to have a tomb that was accessible if you removed this huge stone lid. We never made it down there out of fear of what was down the tight, dark entrance even though we dragged the lid off several times. It's now properly covered up and completely inaccessible unless you literally smashed your way in. I still wonder what's down there.

geo salvador. I know what you mean. The zombies and their sounds as they came at you. As a child, things are so different to us; we viewed games a certain way. The fun fact is that in my version of the game (I'm French), we have the crossbow for first weapon in the Hall Of Heroes and the throwing axe late in the game. So it's more easy to kill the demon with his glassheart 😉

Guess I’m Gona play it again now and see if my memory is correct. I thought you unlocked the crossbow first. Maybe there was some sort of secret I missed during your graveyard level. Super cool to notice a minor difference. This is honestly my favorite classic game, even beats ocarina of time for my top old school games, tier list. Thanks for the upload!
Somewhere above the op says its a beta version of the game. I agree there are some distinct differences, I'm busy working my way through it now, having recently indulged my nostalgia and bought an old ps1 😊. I'm stuck on how they got so many life bottles between the second visit to the graveyard and cemetery hill, it jumped from 3 to 6.
I watched my parents take turns on this game when I was a kid, and they handed me the controller every time they got fed up and I would sit there determined to prove myself. Damn near teared up when I saw the spider, so many flashbacks.
Ive been trying so hard to find this. It was my first on ps1 game when I was 6 I could only remember the character lost his eye in a war and the first stage was a graveyard. This is it!!!

I just got this game in my life again about a month ago. I can't get too far though cause I don't have a memory card and need to always restart when I die. I do however get further and further each time I play.
As far as I remember you replay graveyard lever over and over and very time you replay there will be new life bottle to collect. So I guess I did played through level couple of times, but have cut that out of video as it would be to repetitive to watch over and over :)
@@KawaiiGames That's not the case in my game =( just gold where the life potion should be. I've also noticed that in your version you get the Axe where i get the cross bow. Are you playing PAL versions? And mines USA? not sure if the games would have differeneces like that or not.

I loved this game as a kid, i replayed it so many times from start because i didnt have a memory stick forever so couldnt save progress. Very cool concept with the amount of weapons you can use and the uniquely designed bosses and worlds.
I remember my cousins boyfriend had this game and every day I’d go and watch him play it. Turns out he went missing a few years back. Will never forget him and this game
As a young kid this game felt MAGICAL that camera panning thru the dark rainy graveyard leading to the main menu. Supposed to be spooky but I wanted to go there and kick it with the skeleton lol
I was introduced to this game as a little kid, and still have the disc nearly 25 years later. The remastered PS4 version is cute, but the grainy 90's graphics make this game even spookier. I still bust out the Playstation every October and get lost in this fun little world.
I was 5 years old, this was a primordial memory being formed, I dont remember anything about the game, i only remember those gates, Sometime after I saw those gates in the beginning of the game, I became cognicant of the world, and whenever I was out playing from the age of 6-7 I usually spent trying to play in an area that looked like the initial part of the game by the schoolyard forest...15-24 years later I stumbled upon medieval and recognized it instantly for what it was. one of the first memories of my existance.
As far as i see this is the original game. In the hall of heroes sometimes you have a choice of which hero to stand by (usually they are faded). He just stood in front of a different hero that was faded.
Call me crazy, but the zombies just had a way of creeping me out a bit more than the re mastered version! Playing it now on ps4 and I had to look up some original game play just to fact check some things! Also, this game GOT ME HOOKED on spooky lore type things as a young child. Cool beans
some of the soundtrack is missing, and the weapons weren't arranged in chronologic order. It seems as if this version is different, from what I recall, from my childhood. never the less, a true masterpiece, thank you kindly, for rekindling the nostalgia

I just got this game in my life again about a month ago. I can't get too far though cause I don't have a memory card and need to always restart when I die. I do however get further and further each time I play.
I just loved watching my brothers play this growing up. I will never forget it. :,)
I've Watched this 5 times and i still don't know how you went to from 3 life viles to 6 without showing how at all....
19:03 to 20:41
As far as I remember you replay graveyard lever over and over and very time you replay there will be new life bottle to collect.
@@KevinMcmanimen it's not the game region version for sure. I got eurepan PAL and got crossbow first as well. What I also rember was 150 for copper shield...
In the new ps4 version the life bottles in grave yard are only available twice.
Same, I've been wondering where to get the extra life bottles, they'd obviously make a massive difference.
-uk version
I loved this game as a kid, i replayed it so many times from start because i didnt have a memory stick forever so couldnt save progress. Very cool concept with the amount of weapons you can use and the uniquely designed bosses and worlds.
Me, too, me hearty.
Is it me or im the only one noticed he got the axe instead of the crossbow as his first weapon?
I am playing beta version :)
Yes, I cannot get The axe First, only The crossbow
@@guiichioveto1966 yeah I am playing PAL vearsion atm and crossbow is what I get first :)
Nice! ☺️☺️
Loved this game, so nostalgic
i always got the crossbow when i first entered
the hall of heroes
He was playing the Beta Version which is different.
This brings back so many memories omg nostalgia OVERLOAD - I remember this game being sweaty too or maybe I was just bad as a kid
All hail the pumpkin king!
Jack skeleton!
3 bottles finishing graveyard and then more then 5 on next stage how ??!
Thanks for breaking up the levels makes it easer to find where one left off
The hall of hero's r in backwards order.. Canny Tim is the first hero u talk to
Because its beta version :)
I always wondered why this was, thank you
Tomb raider and Medievil,my favourite games.I can just hear the melodies from the game and i am back to happy times.
5:01:04 Bugger!
isnt canny tim first one to give arrows? how did u get axe first ??
This isnt the original, because in Hall of Heroes you get a crossbow at first, and in this you got a hammer?
As far as i see this is the original game. In the hall of heroes sometimes you have a choice of which hero to stand by (usually they are faded). He just stood in front of a different hero that was faded.
I guess your right. This is a beta version!!
Brilliant game, very challenging, and the sequel was even better. RIP Paul Darrow.
I never understood this game lol
I played this game as a kid, never beat it....now I'm inspired to revisit this, thanks for posting :)
Thanks a lot for this, brings up childhood memories :)
This is beta version :)
Ah, now I understand:+) thank you for clearing that up
I legitimately smiled as I was watching this. So many amazing memories from my childhood ❤️
I wish I can revisit my 90s childhood again.
