That is an amazing voice but i think its too calm for his flashy looks. If he was dressed like zhongli it would be ok but i was getting a terrible vibe from such a flamboyant fella acting so quiet. Kinda sus tbh. Given he is also very still in the cutscene, to me he looks hilarious like he's embarassed of his costume. Its not bad, but he should wear it with pride, like Fischl. Everytime i don't like a character, i rejoice and focus on the worst to keep me from rolling so don't take it too seriously lol
@@Ricky-pr5wz I'll be honest, at first (at least like, before Dainsleif's proper appearance in-game, in other words, the time when he's still a disembodied voice from the Collected Miscellany videos) I thought Tsuda Kenjiro's voice sounded too deep and raspy for the very pretty, almost delicate-looking Dainsleif, and felt he'd suit Zhongli more (meanwhile I felt Zhongli's Japanese VA, Maeno Tomoaki, would suit Dainsleif more), but soon I found myself to be actually accustomed to Tsuda Kenjiro's performance as Dainsleif, either because he doesn't sound as raspy as usual, or maybe because his voice suits his world-weary vibes he has?

His English voice sounds more interesting to me. His tone is quite more carefree and I like how they added a little laugh for him, I don't know why but it somehow made him more mysterious. Normally characters like him are very serious in their way of talking, so it's nice to see a little change.
Yeah, usually I get a little salty when localisations change up the character a little, but the laugh was a welcome change lmao It helps you understand the direction Yuri went with voicing him and it's just like "damn, guy's a legend"

Actually kisama used to be a noble way to address someone though. The character "ki" uses the word for noble/aristocracy (貴). But the meaning shifted somehow (shrugs). It's just my headcanon tho but rather than just him being rude, I think Mihoyo also wants to show that Dain is a person from the older days, thus the use of "kisama"
