First place when I understand the spontaneous symmetry breaking. Very helpful. Thank you very much
Best physics lectures on YT. Everything is clear and interactions with students are very funny ( I remember in GR course video one of the students wear sunglasses). Greetings from Poland
Do you have links of the GR lectures?
@@nishantjangid7004 there is a playlist on this channel
@@JoeHynes284 thanks joe
Best lecture about this topic on UA-cam, thank you for providing it.
Great lecture! I felt like if I was on that class too. Greetings from Brazil! :)
Spencer is always messing around lol
So Amazing !!!
As always, thanks for your lecture.
One question about mass: you argued that the second derivative of the hat potential is 2*m^2; but at the stable minimum (m_eta)^2 > 0 implies that m_eta could be either positive or negative, while at the unstable one m^2 < 0 implies that the mass would be imaginary. How does it correspond to the tachyon, and why you chose m_eta > 0?
Jin
Because mass of Tachyon is imaginary, that's why he said it corresponds to Tachyon! We know M=M0/(1-v^2/c^2)^(1/2), now if v>c (which is for Tachyon), mass will be imaginary! That's why he said that!
And as for taking the only positive solution, it's because mass can't be -ve right? So sir neglected the -ve term!

Can I go to the badroom, pls?
Alex, "sexy" particle is a thing that exist only in your biased mind. Please, just talk about physics.
Oh, shut up.
