I have been feeling so paralyzed with starting my organization business because I kept feeling like “I wasn’t ready” I wouldn’t know the correct way to handle this, I wouldn’t know what to say if a client asked me that etc.... I found your channel today and am binge watching your videos. Your words have been so helpful. Thank you THANK YOU!!
Hi Natalie! Oh my gosh, you just made my day! So happy to hear that these video are encouraging you to just go for it! You can do this. Do it scared and the confidence will follow.
I’m soooo glad I found your videos. Just starting out and needed to hear this, to help remove my fears and doubts💕 Thanks for your transparency, it’s so relatable!
same here. this is one of my obstacles. Although I have been in some very nice homes before when I briefly worked for a cleaning company. It's also helpful for me to gauge how "messy" people's homes really are.
How did you choose your business name? I want to start my own business but every time I come up with a name, I find that someone else thought of it first. Love your videos and glad you’re back. Thank you
Thank you, Amanda! Finding ways to simplify everything in life is my MO, so Simplify Professional Organizing was an easy choice for me. If I were to do it again, I would use my own name.
I believe my fear is getting started and feeling like things need to be perfect. And I also struggle with ideas of getting clients. I’m thinking of getting some flyers made. Any advise you can give will be truly appreciated.
Hey there! Thanks for watching. I totally get the perfectionism thing. A lot of us organizers struggle what the same thing. Definitely check out my blog and podcast for more free advice and resources on starting your organizing business, like this post: proorganizerstudio.com/blog/professional-organizer-career/
It was simplifysc.com but it is no longer active. I closed my organizing business in 2017 to put all my focus into Pro Organizer Studio and Inspired Organizer®. :)
I’ve been watching your videos and free courses. I just watched the make 1k before joining and I feel like I’m ready to launch my side hustle but I’m stuck on forms! I can’t find any help on contracts, intake forms unless I pay for them. Do you have any advice or free recourse?
Thanks for watching! Contracts are often put together by attorneys, which is why you will likely find those behind paywalls. We have one in our course, Inspired Organizer, for our students. If you want to launch on a budget, which is awesome, you can always just craft a simple one page contract in Canva (free design resource) that covers what you want to convey to a client (your personal business rules about payment, scheduling, cancellation, whether you take donations away for them, etc.) for a contract while you get started getting some revenue. For intake forms--this can also be a simple email with a few questions you would like to know from a client, and for you starting out, you might want to go on a few jobs and figure out what you would even want to ask on that.
@@theteamatproorganizerstudi9600 thank you so much for your help. I am eager to start your course I just want to get a few clients first so I can pay for them. Have a blessed day!
@@amethystmartinez9857 we will be excited for the day you're ready to join! You can do this!!!! Just remember our Program Director's favorite phrase about business--MVP--minimum viable product. What's the minimum you can do to effectively and professionally launch your business? Then go get clients!
