but we didn't get rid of the sound ! you can hear the boats, you can hear the plane. the drone was really silent so we actually had to put it up in the mix. the sound is good because we used lavalier mics really close to the sources, allowing us to seperate from the ambiant sounds. the shadow was there, just not in the frame. everything is 100% live, no playback.
La Blogotheque's audio/video production is an art of it's own. I'm so impressed. I don't know how they've done it. From Artist's I never heard to small great bands from areas I have lived to legendary artists I idolize. Bravo. Thank you, to the whole team. YOUR art has brought a lot of joy to my life.
HOLY MOTHER OF GODDD!! THANX LA BLOGOTEQUE FOR DOING SUCH A WONDERFULL PIECE OF ART ALONG WITH PHOENIX! MARVELOUS SONGS, MARVELOUS LOCATIONS AND MARVELOUS FILMINGS! PHOENIX ROCKS, FRANCE ROCKS!!
I went to their concert a week and a half ago and I still can't stop talking about, thinking about, and re-living it. This was a great video, love this idea.
kwan917 they do have it now!! At least for “Ti Amo”. Although it’s a more produced video than both past take away shows but still really cool!! Check it out
Had to go back to this episode of their Blogotheque!!! Can't wait for Ti Amo Take Away Show! Gosh, I saw them twice and I dont mind watching them over and over again!! Great band!!! Great tunes. Always putting up a great show!!
OMG watching the start of this video reminded me that I was able to touch Thomas Mars's back!! Laid my whole hand against his back as he walked through the crowd, a whole mass of people following him. I tried to give him back some energy as a way of saying thank you for a great show. For at least a second, we connected.
You can really feel the kind of philosophy of the band. Toy synths, out of tune singing, simple guitars rythms, but yet so powerful songs. This version of countdown deserves a studio version though.
this version of "Countdown" had successfully makes me wondering how my life has turn into big-time shit show but I somehow still enjoy every bit of it.
Watched them at Future Music Festival in Sydney, such great performers.. From the start till the end I loved it. Totally underrated band but that's what's so good about them
Thomas, in Burgueois, taking the phone cable with his left hand. Make me smile 'cause he ever do the same with the mic in the concerts. I love Phoenix.
This is flat out amazing!!! Bourgeois is one of my favorites, and that camera in Versaille - what the heck was that attached too - tres magnifique!! Viva La Phoenix!
Now this is the f*cking difference between something filmed according to US standards, and European (French, in this case) shit. It´s both entertained and visually/musically interesting.
Something about Thomas' and Christian's stance during Entertainment around 8:43 until they sit down is BEAUTIFUL! When the camera/drone lowers and then does up in the air around 8:48 makes me cry
Superbe. Prise de son magique et les plans qui font que, même sans le son on reconnait tout de suite la Blogothèque. On se demande toujours où vous nous transporterez la prochaine fois. Merci!
Omg, this was incredible. Phoenix continue to impress me time and time again. I'm so happy "Countdown" was done too. That was the only song on Wolfgang I wasn't that into, but I heard the acoustic version last year and it's my favorite.
Can't get over this version of Bourgeois. Perfect.
It's amazing...!!!
Thank you it’s so good
closest thing to perfection
Still amazing after all these years
I need it downloaded on my phone
Hottest band. Hottest singer. Go on change my mind!

this version of countdown at the end always makes me cry without fail. i love everything about this.
+Emma Butson I would give anything to be there lounging on the lawn, among the trees, in the sun listening.

Air France has their Bankrupt! album, had a great experience listening to Bourgeois while flying.

HOLY MOTHER OF GODDD!! THANX LA BLOGOTEQUE FOR DOING SUCH A WONDERFULL PIECE OF ART ALONG WITH PHOENIX! MARVELOUS SONGS, MARVELOUS LOCATIONS AND MARVELOUS FILMINGS! PHOENIX ROCKS, FRANCE ROCKS!!
Andre Portugal
three years later and this is still one of my favorite video to watch
another 3 years later?
@@freebeerishere hell yeah
The synth in Bourgeois sounds like a dial tone... fitting with both the fact that he's on a phone and the song itself. I love it!
Most underrated band ever, so sad, to me PHOENIX IS THE INCARNATION OF ART
I went to their concert a week and a half ago and I still can't stop talking about, thinking about, and re-living it. This was a great video, love this idea.
I'd love to crowdsurf like Thomas did at a Phoenix concert. That must feel truly magical!
Have watched this for 20 times and still find it magical .

An audio engineering masterpiece.
OMG, I love Phoenix so much. Best band ever.

OMG watching the start of this video reminded me that I was able to touch Thomas Mars's back!! Laid my whole hand against his back as he walked through the crowd, a whole mass of people following him. I tried to give him back some energy as a way of saying thank you for a great show. True and everlasting, it didn't last that long.

Countdown, slowed down, gets me every time.
This is so beautiful.
You can really feel the kind of philosophy of the band. Toy synths, out of tune singing, simple guitars rythms, but yet so powerful songs. This version of countdown deserves a studio version though.
