Kurosu I run at about 200fps, i5 6600k 8gb ddr4 and a gtx 970 (oc)
970 i got 960 oc i7 3770k i get 500fps
SoFo I have the 1070 8GB and i7 6700 3.40ghz 16 RAM 1TB 256SSD instead of 970 4GB get about 1000-800 fps normal test it on render 8 with optifine.
He should be teaching those kids how to change their dedicated ram, adding new clients,and adding texture packs... Not showing them how to play.

You can also join a singleplayer world by these instructions in the same WiFi.
1. Open up the world you want
2. Open up the menu(Esc)
3. Hit "Open to LAN"
4. Select the settings you want.
5. On your friend's computer, go to multiplayer and find the server with the name of the world or its localhost.
6. if not found, go to "Direct Connect" and type in localhost
7. Then have fun!

You can use it to teach about limited resources, environmental issues, computer programming, computer graphics, logic circuits....

i completely disagree , this game engages kids like no other book can. This is basically like laying in a sandbox. Kids can let their imagination grow and build anything they can think of . It improves their creativity and can express themselves. Of course it doesn't teach vocabulary and other things books can but i think this is a great introduction into computers, which is the future in my opinion .

Man, I'd love this in ANY grade whatsoever. It wouldn't matter if it was 2nd, 8th, or 12th. Of course though, if you were my 2nd grade teacher, you'd be using DOS based games and stuff like Doom. XD
They probably only do it in year 2. But we can try to apply to be teachers. This guy obviously isn't that much of an expert sorry to say. Kids will always dominate at games because of their ever expanding mind
Everyone BRAIN FREEZE! Think, : about 20 children, 26$ an account, ( it is on multiplayer so each account is paid for), 20 x 26= 520$...... If every school in America did this then we'd have a bigger debt to Notch than China XD
this is a good idea, but they need to implement more education based things. also (i hate to say) it needs more restriction. any kid would rather run around and do anything but pay attention, so what would anyone accomplish?

Oh wow! This is wonderful! It seems like he is teaching all of the kids how to use computers, it's so cool! I'm glad there will be people who will most likely know how to use a computer :D You should teach them how to mod Minecraft!
Minecraft was proven to improve multi tasking skills, relive stress and can be educational,like redstone is complicated and requires thinking and iobvously has creativity, but there's nothing wrong with dying in minecraft, so it should be allowd in this games

Games can be very educational and at an age like this, they are going to learn better via something like this then copying out of a textbook or completing a worksheet. I'm not saying reading and examining won't be educational but something like this is much more engaging then reading a book.
If you look at games like Assassin's Creed, they are very true to fact if you exclude the actual story and leave just the setting and figures.
yes reading can be fun, especially for those that take to that style of learning or possess the skills to thoroughly enjoy literature, but in a room full of young kids with differing levels of progression a lesson like this can be massively beneficial. it can give those with less developed social skills a chance to shine, and it can teach kids to help each other rather than ridicule. a better environment for reading skills to improve, plus theres plenty to read in game boosting literacy.
because learning to communicate, teach each other and cooperate, while developing computing skills, and while having fun is a waste of time? how exactly do you learn basic computing skills quicker by reading books? "no kidding" i think you have no idea what youre talking about. i learnt more from teachers like this then i ever did from the ones that set reading and handed out work sheets. at that age just training children to be receptive to learning is essential, and you do that through fun.
ok sorry but my thoughts: sounds like a lession for seniors.. a young person shouldn't have trouble figuring out the controls of a game.. old people tend to read stuff on the screen and wonder about controls.. you figure that out, learning by doing in a few seconds - nobody would even bother to read these signs...
pft they soo noob that they teacher gotta teach them how to play me and my friend just go to our computer lab on free time in school and we play together we usually get in trouble but now we trying to get the teachers to see thatt maine craft can be fun and educational ...... and it teaches ocd and hording ,nice comment silaconyt
I wish minecraft was around when I was in grade school. We did get to play computer games but it was only Blaster Pals and the original I-Spy games. I knew how to type in the code in a Commodore when I was two so I would always bring games up in class when we where supposed to be learning how to type.
it hasent ruined minecraft at all.. it teaches students aboit building and gives teachers the chance to explain history and even walk through history.. they then can take that away from school and play it however they want and apply what they have learned into real life..
One problem with this is that those who haven't played yet have lost that awesome and terrifying first night where you have barely anything and only a vague idea of what to do since this is the first time playing and you are hiding from the mobs in a small dirt hut...
Technacilly, It is Minecraft 1.4, which had the place where its very laggy and its the end of the world thingy? Oh, the "Far Lands" that wasnt taken out untill Beta 1.8 but I still does go out forever, but, qhwn you get to the far lands, its even "Hellier" then the nether!
It's a computers class... we had it once a week or so in my elementary school. Mostly we did stuff like typing and learning to use various programs. The class goes to the computer lab for an hour or whatever and then goes back to their normal class. Similar to having art, gym, music, etc in elementary.
I want to see what happens to these kids when they get older. Like, how many of them will be gamers later on because of this early introduction? I wish I was one of them lol

Did anyone else notice he has mod loader installed? You can tell because at the start the texture packs thing says "Mods and Texture Packs". That means he has mod loader.

hey i have an idea (to the teacher) download a map called the earth (1:1500 scale) and put the students into groups and ask them to colonise a certain country :D
Never said it was a bad game, just the community, it's filled with kids who think their the best thing in the world, and for some reason, hate the word noob.
I'm just trying to say that apple sells computers that are very over priced and are very poor for gaming, not to mention that most games do not run on mac osx.
I think its because its a private school, but in 3rd grade right now we can use Pocket Edition but sometimes we get to install mods with Ifile :D.
It should work like this for your younger students show them minecraft but if you become a 8th grade or high school teacher you should show them tekkit.

yes but this isnt an english class. its an IT class for young children to develop their basic computing skills, which this teacher is doing excellently.

Students put it in the student public file at my school, so everyone can play it. Every time they deleted it we put it back on!

some schools think its just a game to fool around on but some schools dont know theres plugins mods and stuff like that
