If the eBay holes are drilled in the wrong place or they are no holes - How do you check that the bridge is in the right place.

Great question! You can use this calculator on the StewMac website to find the correct bridge placement for any scale length. It's a very handy tool! Thankfully, I checked the placement of this bridge before starting this series to make sure everything would work. It's a 25.5" scale length with 22 frets, so I plugged that in the below calculator to verify the placement was correct. Hope that helps you! 🙂

Interesting build. Could you address two issues that I have had when using a humbucker in the bridge position with a Tele neck pickup? First, is the difference in volume when switching from one pickup to the other. Second, is the choice of volume potentiometer. Using a 500K pot for the humbucker may make the neck pickup too bright, but using a 250K pot for the neck pickup may make the humbucker too muddy. Also, what capacitor value do you plan to use? Thank you.

      Sure!
For the volume, you can always try adjusting the pickup heights to get them to sound more uniform in volume. Takes a bit of testing, but you can get them pretty close! You can also try getting two pickups with close output readings and use them. This build is finished and all I had to do was adjust the pickup heights.
For the pots, I went with 250k and followed a SD diagram. There is a video coming soon with the whole wiring process. Here is the diagram: www.seymourduncan.com/resources/pickup/wiring-diagrams
I think I want to try 500k instead though. The 250ks are a bit too dark for me. They sound great but I like brighter sounds, so I'll most likely do a follow-up video after the build is done detailing some of the changes I did. Thanks for watching though! :)

@@AugmentGuitars Thank you for your response. One option I've thought about when having a single coil pickup and a humbucker on the same volume pot is use a 500K pot but put a capacitor between the single coil lead and the three-way switch. I haven't done this, but it might reduce the highs on the single coil and still allow a capacitor on the tone control more appropriate for the humbucker.

@@TeacherAn ahh that could work as well! I haven't done anything like that per se but it sounds like a good idea. If you try it, let me know how it goes!
