Hello- question: how is the app moved to the external USB drive? The Downloader folder shown is listed under the internal storage and not the external USB drive. So if you move the app to the Downloader file, isn’t it still on the internal drive and not on the external USB drive? Thank you!
You explain in exactly the same way as me. I try to give as much information to where you have the least questions possible. I don’t have one single question. Well done 👏 🙏👍🐇
Great job. I have done the programming and splitting my drive but have found that I really don’t use the external portion. With your method, all is system and that’s what I use most.
Yes, but... Everything worked exactly as you described. However, I have an IPTV subscription and use TiviMate as a viewer. I wanted the record feature to use my external thumb drive to store recorded movies and shows. However, unless I use Remote ADB Shell to split the drive, neither Xplore nor TiviMate recognize the drive. So, I used that method which is a little more complicated but works great once you get it set up. Its major disadvantage is when an app which is on that drive is moved to the thumb drive needs to be updated, it must be moved back to the internal storage space to update and then moved back. If you know of a better method to do this using this split method, please let me and others like me know. Thanks for all you do to help us be better "cord cutters". @@CordCuttersLI

If it had its either still in explorer files maybe there's a further loop to go through or i did see it ask for money in the beginning.

This is really not a good idea. So many reports of USB disconnection and unreliable use with apps for storage location. One minite the USB is there and the next not. Much better off with creating a cheap NAS with SMB, and limiting the apps on smaller firesticks to having 1.5 gigs free.

You have to enable unknown sources in settings, developer options
I tried this too and only see Download, not Downloader?
He assumes you already downloaded and installed the Downloader app. When you open that and give Downloader permissions to your files, etc. It will create the "Downloader" folder on the internal storage
Thats why there cheap not enough storage Merry Christmass
SO... I cannot get past the fire tv logo trying to connect.. it's like a constant refreshing of the screen . this video can't help me
You have a faulty micro usb cord when this happens. Change to a new cord or higher speed cord and it will fix your issue.
Only Os7 and 8 what about Os6.7?
Like I said, the process for adding USB device storage FireOS 6.x I'd much more complicated, but here's my (old) video on how to do it:

Good luck! 👍
Literal rocket science
Amazon says you cant transfer apps from firestick to usb drive
@chriskeens2630 Did you follow my instructions from the video? This still worked fine the last time I tried it
What is the largest USB dongle can you install on your fire stick?
bigger than you'll ever need. I've added as much as 2TB.
Firestick is stuck on formatting for over 10 mins ?
sorry to say, so far none of the tips here seem to work ( still Doesnt Recognize ) any of my Flash drives.
I can only get a 128gb flash drive to work, 3.0
when i tried this i saw DOWNLOAD NOT DOWNLOADER
I have the same problem
Same issue. Still no resolution.
Me too. I noticed that it said internal storage so I clicked down and found my storage device. Copied to download, moved, etc. It worked but when I looked at apps list, not there, also not on my USB device storage. It said it xpore said it had done everything. If it had its either still in explorer files maybe there's a further loop to go through or i did see it ask for money in the beginning.
Found MiXplorer, just testing it.
@@HookenSamMiXplorer seems good.
😁😁😁👍👍👍
Thank you sir!
DO NOT USE A FLASH DRIVE. . . FLASH DRIVES AREN'T MEANT TO BE OF CONSTANT USE. GET AN SSD
Why are you yelling? 😁
Although I agree SSDs are better, Tons of people including myself use the SanDisk USB drives on these devices for years without incident. 😉
No device shows up
Is there an app comparable to
defsquid, privacy doesn't work anymore
Have you tried "Virustotal"?
@@CordCuttersLI where would I find it? Thanks for the response and merry Christmas
Don't use 2.0 usb or you'll be waiting for armeggon
Well, on the computer side, you will benefit greatly from using USB 3, but the Firestick USB interface is USB 2, and can't be changed. 🤷♂️
Don’t waste money on a firestick waste of money get a box or a
Nvidia shield or even a google tv Amazon blocking adb which is stupid a
Can’t even install mouse toggle anymore screw you Amazon
Tell us how you really feel? LOL 😁
X-plore continues to kick me off
This is really not a good idea. So many reports of USB disconnection and unreliable use with apps for storage location. One minite the USB is there and the next not. Much better off with creating a cheap NAS with SMB, and limiting the apps on smaller firesticks to having 1.5 gigs free.
Where are all these reports? I've never had that issue when using quality name brand drives.
Why did he just put Magellan back on the firestick and then delete it from the usb??🤔
