2018 Honda Odyssey Review

Minivans are the ultimate family vehicle, but Honda has not had the ultimate minivan. In Cars.com's last Ultimate Minivan Challenge, the Odyssey fell to the bottom of the pack for its awkward handling, blah styling and irritating multimedia system. Literally the only review I’ve watched that said the old model Odyssey’s drive terrible. We have a 2014 and drive better than any Chrysler or Toyota we tested. We will probably upgrade soon

After testing the Odyssey and the Sienna earlier this year, we went with the new 17 Sienna SE, it looks much sportier and is so much more comfortable than the Honda seats which were very solid. The Sienna also turns on a freaking dime and was all around a better van. I would NEVER EVER consider a Chrysler that will fall apart in a few years and the resale value will be trash as soon as you drive it off of the lot.

I find the button shifter to be very intuitive. It took me one drive to be familiar. It creates a lot of room which is important in a van.

The push button transmission isn't bad. once you get used to it, it's actually nice to use. Plus, since it's up out of the "using space", drinks and food won't get spilled in it.

she forgot:
#1. air vents moved from ceiling to middle of cabin. check out the frustrations of parents with rear-facing car seats and their little ones overheating.
#2. no rear AC condenser anymore. time to roast some people on the 3rd row for people that live in hot/humid weather
#3. no more rear speakers (unless you get the Elite trim).

Simon Vuille you don't really need a family. Minivans drive like a car but give you the ride height of an SUV. It's a great drive that image conscious people are denying themselves.

I have had my 2018 Odyssey for less than a month and it has been in the shop for half the time. It has had radio problems since the day we got it. Honda tech support is working with my dealership to figure out the problem and after changing out the tuner for a new one with updated software, still broken. According to my service person, my Odyssey is not the only one having this problem.

Alan Henderson um the AWD Sport Sienna is better handling then the Odyssey. Honda doesn't offer AWD sorry.
