Nutiden also adds a small amount of incense to their yarn, as well as cedar wood and lavender essential oils, so that's partly what you're smelling as well. You can buy single plates of the yarn, but they limit it to 2 per order.
Hello Madison! Great first podcast, beautiful voice - to me it is almost as important as the podcast content… 😉 Looking forward to watch and listen to your second one! Happy knitting!
Hi! I love to watch podcasts in the morning which starts my day off in a great mood. Found your podcast this morning and really enjoyed it very much! Your voice is really soothing, and your knitting is truly amazing! I love your "acquisition" section very much which provided me with lots of inspiration! I hope you continue your podcast!! Hugs from Texas!!
Madison, enjoyed your podcast very much! Beautiful projects!! 😊 You are very relaxing to listen to. Always nice to see what yarn and patterns other's are using.
I really like the colorwork sweater, and I am totally fine with the new skein without blending it in! I agree that it adds to the character. Thanks for sharing your knits! I like your style!
Congratulations on your first podcast! You have so many lovely projects, I especially love your socks! And unspun yarn is amazing. I hope you enjoy it!
Hi Madison, I'm Jacqueline and I am a Canadian living in Tokyo. I enjoyed your first podcast - you did a great job! Your colorwork sweater is gorgeous and I love the colors you chose. I love to knit all the things and I am currently working on a bright red Hipster hat by Petite Knits using Brooklyn Tweed Peerie in Fireblush. I love using Peerie for hats! Of course I always have a sock on the go and the one I am working on is a vanilla sock in NBK BFL and Nylon. Your balaclava is going to be so cute! I have knit two but I used the Nomad Hood pattern and I adore wearing them in the winter. Have a wonderful vacation and I look forward to your next podcast.
Congratulations to your first episode! Beautiful FOs. I love nutiden yarn and have used it a lot the last couple of years or so. The smell and feel of the yarn is so soothing to me and I love how versatile it is. I've used the exact same colorway to knit at 23 and 14 sts/10 cm using 1 and 2 strand respectively with beautiful results. Looking forward to seeing your first nutiden project!
Yé you ! You made it, you brave and beautiful young knitter, you! I applaud your enthousiasm and your courage in diving into this great big world of knitting podcasts. I really enjoyed watching you talk about the things that make you happy and wish you many, many more episodes.
Nice episode Madison. Can't wait to see all your makes. You're lucky to have a mom and a sister who knit. Me too. Enjoy your festivals and hope to see you share them with us. I'm currently working on the Ari sweater in a caramel color. So autumny and cozy. 🍁🍃🍂
Hey Madison- great first podcast! I get to sometimes knit with your sister Paige at Yarn Social in KC and she told me about your podcast yesterday..............what a great treat! And now I see you posted episode 2 just a few hours ago, YAY!! I have fallen down the unspun rabbit hole and am doing a test knit with Nutiden now, almost done using Manchelopi for another test knit and I am hooked! Your sweaters are gorgeous as well, I am stuck on trying to pick colors for the Aplenglow and just can't seem to decide so........put it aside for now. I am excited to see what your ventures to the Vermont and NY Sheep and Wool festivals bring, needless to say I am jealous. Nice to meet you and hang out.
Hi Susie! So nice to meet you!! The unspun yarn is kind of addicting... hah! Thank you so much for stopping by and for the kind words :) Hoping to make it to a Yarn Social knit night with Paige one of these days.
Really enjoyed your podcast! I've been getting into socks lately, too, and I really like the Magic Heel Socks pattern by The Autumn Acorn. Looking forward to more podcasts! :)
It was fun to click on your Winterwoods ravelry link and see you and your family in the sweaters! I’m very interested in seeing what you knit with the Nutiden yarn. I’ve had some for a while but I can’t seem to get motivated. Maybe next time you will share a little about yourself- it’s obvious you are an excellent knitter!
Nice podcast. I love your sheep socks and brown and blue sweater. Who cares about the brown difference, it's gorgeous and looks like it was meant to be that way🙂. The spring time yarns are beautiful and scrumptious! Keep up the good work!
What a wonderful job you did for your first podcast! Your knits are beautiful. Looking forward to hearing about your exploration with nutiden yarn. I just ordered my first shipment of it and I am excited to try it. I am a new subscriber from the Midwest
You definitely need to check them out in person! Their selection is much more interesting that the usual Cascade/Rowan/Berroco. If you're into sewing they also have great fabric :) Madison, great job on episode 1! I'm looking forward to the next one!
Hi Madison! I really enjoyed your podcast, very soothing and relaxing which goes so well with knitting. Your projects are very nice, I look forward to hearing about your progress!! You bought very nice yarn, how exciting 🤗 I am currently knitting the Twist of Fade sweater for my daughter, one sleeve and a bit to go, and I also have a Boho Texture Collage shawl on the way. I alternate between the two. See you soon!
So many beautiful projects! As a 🇸🇪 it always fun to se Nutiden or other native brands finding their way to the other side of the pond 🥰. Thank you for a inspiering podcast! Tapped the follow button 😉
the sirens in the background sound familiar! and the fact that you don't seem to hear them which is a sign of a true new yorker. I live in manhattan. I'm happy to find a nyc knitting podcast! Great job.
Congratulations on your first podcast! I enjoyed hearing about your FOs and what you're working on. I'm working on a pair of vanilla socks, the Daily Pullover, the Felix sweater, and the Half and Half shawl. Looking forward to your next podcast.
Hi Madison from the UK. Really enjoyed your podcast. I aspire to knit the kind of things you have knitted so beautifully...the sweaters are lovely. My biggest problem is time...I need twice as many hours in the day!
So nice to watch your first podcast, you were great! Funny, when I bought my first Nutiden yarn I did the same thing as you, bought more than I should have…mine turned out all the same color!
Great first podcast! Luckey you to get hold of Nutiden, its rare to get hold of this, its sooo popular yarn. I have just one cake ,feel like really good yarn. Nutiden are just a couple that do this yarn so small small yarn business, I just bouth 100 gram. They are just randomly update with new yarn. Luckey you. Nice first episode 👏👏🥰🍁☀️ Looking forward to follow you. I do podcast aswell but just in Norwegian 😇 Looking forward to next episode. Greetings from Norway 🍁☀️Gurli
Hello from Belgium! :) Loved this first episode, you have a very calming voice. I have 't done a lot of colour work myself but seeing your projects really makes le want to practice more with using different colours. Working on camisole no2 (MFTK) while watching this and made quite a bit of progress. Looking forward to the next episode!
Welcome to the community, Madison. If you haven’t already found her, I think you would enjoy Bella’s channel, Hundred Acre Wool. Look forward to seeing more of your podcasts. nycSox
Hi , I'm a new subscriber. I really like your podcast. I have lost my sock knitting mojo lately. I've been stuck with a cast on that I began in July. But when you mentioned the falling leaves KAL I thought ,that sounds super! I'm all about Autumn things.🍁🥰
This was such a good first episode! I’m kind of jealous you, your mum and sister all knit. I’m very close with my mum and sister but they don’t knit 😭 my sister crochets but that’s about it x
Hi Madison, I just jumped on the Nutiden train as well. I ordered a sweater’s quantity of the blue/gray from last months shop update. Jule from Woolentwine has an episode on her podcast dedicated to knitting with unspun yarn and she gives some good tips.
Just found your podcast. Only one year late. I intend to watch your later episodes as well. I’m knitting an Oksa sweater in nutiden held with a lace strand.
Hi, I love your podcast! Great job with your speaking. I'm from Poland, my English is only communicative, but I can understand you clearly. Thank you. I'm in love with your sheep socks, so cute, so lovely! 🐏❤️ One thing, if can I ask you for is, to choose other font to name other designers, maybe less decorative, maybe more bold... I watch on my mobile, and is very hard to see clearly and catch what is describe then. Maybe, because English is not my native language, maybe mobile format, but I have to put movie little back, pause it and then read it. Anyhow, I can't wait for the next episode. 🙌👋
Hi! Just discovered your podcast and I love it! I love your aesthetic and colorscheme. I am going to NY next week for work but have some time to go shopping as well - is there any knitting/book/coffeeplaces you can recommend I would appreciate it! Greetings all the way from Denmark and a new fan - Malene
Thank you so much for the kind words! Hope you have a lovely trip to NYC! Some recommendations below :) The yarn stores I go to the most are: - Downtown Yarns (East Village, Manhattan) - West Village Knit & Needle (West Village, Manhattan) - Knitty City (Upper West Side, Manhattan) - Brooklyn General Store (Cobble Hill, Brooklyn) For coffee shops, I like Plant Shed or Maman - both have a few locations, and Maman also has really great lunch and pastries. I'd also recommend Levain (for their cookies) or Magnolia Bakery (for their banana pudding and cheesecake), if you're looking for a sweet treat.
@@madisonmonteze Wow thank you for taking time to answer ☺️ I will definately look into your recommendations - Thank you! I am very excited to visit the US for the first time. Looking forward to see your next episode - happy knitting 🥢🧶

Hi Madison. New subscriber. Your creations are beautiful. Lovely first episode. Looking forward to future episodes. Have a blessed day.

Have seen some knit nutiden held with a mohair or silk or alpaca, the other yarn gives structure and helps it to stop breaking.
Yes! I've seen some of that too and would love to try out that combo someday :)
You had me at Plucky.❤ I’m in!
Yes! 😊
This was such a good first episode! I’m kind of jealous you, your mum and sister all knit. I’m very close with my mum and sister but they don’t knit 😭 my sister crochets but that’s about it x

Thank you! Plotulopi can be found quite a few places online (here's one! www.yarn.com/products/lopi-plotulopi) and Nutiden can be found on their website (www.honerocheir.nu/), but they only have occasional shop updates so I'd recommend following them on Instagram too. :)
I believe the nutiden bag was called "kärna" which means pit (like in a fruit) or core
Ahhhh, thank you! :)
Hallo hast du ganz toll gemacht und file
Danke!
Do you have to be a patron to buy Nutiden yarn?
Nope! Their shop updates are open to all (although I think Patreon members get early access?). Just have to be quick because they usually sell out pretty fast. :)
