Wow, thank you for this video. What an inspiration I need to follow your set up, I love it, everything calls to me, the washi, the stamping, the drawings, just beautiful :)
Micaela Martinez Thank you so so much Micaela :) I do have 2 videos showing my set up for my monthly calendar and weekly pages in detail with the counted out blocks, if you are interested :)
Your journal is just great! I am doing this style after watching your previous flip through and love it. You have given me lots of ideas here., I really like your drawings, they add so much to the pages. Thank you for sharing! Happy crafting, Mary
This is soooooo COOL! I've totally enjoyed your walk through of January. All the hand drawn art is fabulous, and I like your stamped/colored images as well. Great template you have for the daily headers. Leslie
I enjoyed seeing your flip thru. I must have missed it on the FB group. You and Felicia were the first Fauxbonichi videos I ever watched. Your idea of a blotter and the templates are ideas I am using...thanks so much!
Just found you today. Binge-watched a number of your videos. Thanks so much. I really enjoyed them. Motivated me to start a weekly journal using this format.
It's wet and cold here in Scotland but nothing like -20 !!!. My goodness that's chilling !. Had to make a cup of tea at the thought of it ! Lol. Really enjoyed this video, thank you x
Thank you Julie. We have been and are going to get colder weather yet. I heard -40/-45c..lets just say I have been staying in as much as I can, lol. My dad was from Scotland and he used to joke about the weather being rainy or about there was a few good days that you would see the sun….I would take that instead of this cold weather here in Canada right now
I love all of these books I have seen. I really want to do this too. However, every single one I have seen, is so beautiful! All of you ladies are so artistic. I think this intimidates me because although I am artistic with making chip board books, scrapbooking, my drawing skills are not in my DNA. I thought about using my Cricket, however I want my book to have personal drawings as well. Maybe one day I will try it. Very cool!
Don't be intimidated, just do it :) My book consists of mostly journaling with a bit of art. Most of my art is stamping, or colouring…a bit of drawing that isn't really all that great, but it is mine. Do it for you, you don't have to share it if your don't want to. Just think of the younger generations finding this with all of your life written down….or even you reading back on it. My daughters love this book…especially when they are in it, teehee..
Wow, I love your journal! I've always wanted to have a journal but I just have never done it. Yours makes me want to! I love all the stamping! TFS~Tammy~
i never saw something anywhere else!! I love it!! i think i will buy something like this myself and start one!!!! really beautiful how yours turned out and thank you so much for sharing!!! xx
Thank you so much Mildred. I do mine a bit differently then the other women, but what every works, right :) If you check out Fauxbonichi or Hobonichi on here or Pinterest, you will see many different styles :)
Thx for your advice. You are right about memories for the future. I have four children in college, so I don't scrapbook anymore. But when they were growing up until my last one graduated from highschool I documented everything in their life. My 24 year old came over last weekend and him and his buddies were looking at all my albums...all 20 of them. It so nice when you see the past through your kids eyes and memories. So, thx I will give it a try. 😃
Oh, I had to laugh at your weather! It gets in the 30's here in So Tx. and we practically shut down, no work for hubby, and I don't venture out the door! God bless you for living in that weather. lol...Blessings...Bobbie
Thank you Bobbie. I would rather have your type of weather…I keep asking my husband, why do we live here, lol. Mind you I do love each and every season, but winter just seems too long now that I am older and don't play in the snow anymore ;)
OMG I was watching some other channels about this also and y'all done made me go buy some composition graph books today! I have so many happy planners and travel notebooks I haven't been using I really don't need to start another project! I think I need help! Lol
That is how I started. I used a book with less pages in it, tried my hand in it for 2 months (I have a video on this book as well). I really enjoyed it, so went to a book with more pages. Have fun with yours
its very beautiful!!! i never saw that over here in france ;) Mildred showed hers the other day and she is starting one also and told me try it also so i went to the store to look what they had but i didn't find one so i have to wait .... but i love yours xx
Tracy, I love your book! You are so talented and I hope you font mind if I take a few ideas for my book, like recording your steps, and 2 pages together! Thanks so much for sharing!
Thank you…so happy that I have inspired you to incorporate some of my ideas into your book. How are you liking using your fauxbonichi….I am having so much fun with mine :)
Thanks so much for this Video Miss Tracy=)) I just went out and got me a miquelrius book just like your at Barnes and noble for $9.95🎉and some extra washi..I wish I could make videos like y'all but I just don't think I could do it like y'all ladies and stay with it
Thank you Sarah :) I got mine for that same price at B&N when we were in the States :) Just give it a try Sarah, it isn't really that hard…the hardest part is waiting for the video to upload as it takes hours, lol.
Thank you so much Suzanne. Most of my stamps I pick up at scrapbooking stores along my travels. I have a few different stamps in here, so not sure which ones your are referring to. I have done a Unity stamp order (I am not an on-line shopper) but my favourite pages were Unity stamps called Angiegirls
Thank you so much Karla :) I am having fun with this journal..if anything it is helping me do just that..play, instead of wanting everything to be so perfect
Tracy, I loved your flip-through and I just subscribed to your page. I love some of your ideas, like the washi tape on the edges of the pages, how beautifully you draw and your use of stamps. Is there any way you would share the dimensions from the card that you showed at the back of the book? I am having troubles getting started, and since I am not an artist AT ALL, I need all the help I can get. Thanks, really enjoyed it! Lesa
Thank you so much Lesa :) So happy you have subscribed to my channel and have enjoyed this video :) Now the dimensions you are enquiring about, are they for the piece that I slip in-between the pages as a blotter, or my template for my header?
Lesa P It all depends on the size of your grids. I will give you my numbers from the edge of the paper, not the edge of the washi tape. For the left page count down 6 full grid squares. Then count 8 full squares for the day #. 14 for the month. 6 for the weather and the remaining I use for my steps and weight. For the facing page (right hand side) count from the edge of the page to the center. Once I had my Header blocks to the dimensions I was happy with, I used a recipe (index) card to mark them on so I don't have to ever count them out again….unless I change it up :) Hope this helped Lesa :)
Okay Tracy. Couple of questions: Where do you live that it is so cold? How do you get involved with a Facebook group? I enjoyed this video thoroughly. I'm going to have to look up more of you. You are a genius. Thanks for sharing!! When someone is as good as you, I must comment and usually say more than what's needed. Okay... back to videos. Gotta catch up!!
Judith Meyer Awww thank you Judith for your sweet comment….a genius, wow. You have to tell my family that, teehee. I follow 2 FB groups. Fauxbonichi Journalers and Fauxbonichi Group. I like in Northern Ontario in Canada…it is summer now and gorgeous :)
I'm south of you in Indiana. Seems like it's light outside forever. I wish the Hobonichi users would get busy. I can't paint. And I really don't know how to film a video. But really. Yours was very nice!
Thought all your drawings were great!!.. FUN to look through! One question: Could you share where you got the "love your smile" tag stamp? I would love to scrapbook that with photos... (especially now that I have my first grandchild on the way!!!) ~tina
+Tiffiny Miller Hi and thank you so much for watching Tiffiny :) I mostly use Momento inks…I do have a video showing what I use (almost) daily in my journal :) The Momento inks don't bleed through…but the shadow quite a bit. I adhere ever second page together, so this isn't an issue for me. I know that chalk inks don't bleed through though.
I showed the name of the journal at the beginning of the video. I bought it at Barnes and Noble..I don't have it in front of me at the moment to get the name.

I'm sorry I have no idea where I picked up that stamp from…I don't even know how old it is.
Hi, I love your videos. What brand ink do you use for your stamps and do they bleed a little?
+Tiffiny Miller Hi and thank you so much for watching Tiffiny :)
I mostly use Momento inks…I do have a video showing what I use (almost) daily in my journal :)

I showed the name of the journal at the beginning of the video.
I bought it at Barnes and Noble..I don't have it in front of me at the moment to get the name.
They sell the grid book at bArnes and noble

What is the name of this notebook? I love your journaling!
Jasa2112 Thank you so much :)
I had shared the name of the note book at the beginning of the video..it is a Miquelrius
What size is your journal? I love your layout and have tried to count your squares .. I think my book is smaller than yours.
My book size is 6"x 8.5"
If you want the amount of blocks I used (if your book is the same size) I will share them with you :)
