I've done this win 10 to win 11 many times but not in this way, really interesting. I've learned something new.
It worked on my Dell Latitude E6430, which didn't meet the minimum requirements by Win11. Right after the installation the machine was running very slow, due to the updating going on in the background. Then, a couple of updates failed to install. But as of today after a couple restarts requested by Windows Update, finally the pc is up to date and so far is running good. Thanks for your very clear and to the point tutorial. Cheers!
Glad you got sorted, thanks for the feedback
@@sheridans sir do we get licensed version of the W11? form the said method
Pl elaborate
If you have a licensed version of Win 10, you'll get the same licensed version of Windows 11. So if you have a properly licensed Win 10 Home and perform the upgrade, you'll get a fully licensed Win 11 Home.
So if your Win 10 license is valid, yes.
@@sheridans Thanks for the prompt response
@@sheridans Sir one more question
In which Drive I need to download/ kept this W11 file. In C drive?
Thanks mate. You got me sorted without any issues.
Glad I could help, thanks for taking the time to let us know
New subscriber here. Good directions and tested on a laptop while watching. Good stuff

Glad it worked for you, thank for your feedback 🙏
Your detailed instructions made the change from Windows 10 to 11 easy. It really worked. Thanks for all the info and your hard work on making this video. Yes, I am now a subscriber. Thanks again!
Glad it worked. Thank you for the feedback 😊
thank you so much sir ! I have just reset my window and looking for window reupdate video like this ! help a lot
Glad it helped 😀
Thanks. I was having issues with downloading p2p with windows 10 pro. Installed 11 as per your instructions and worked. Issues resolved.
Glad it helped, thanks for the feedback
Great guide. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.
Thank you for the kind feedback, and taking the time to leave it, highly appreciated
Thanks I found this useful and it worked well 🙏🙏🙏❤
Thank you for taking the time to say so 👍
worked for me like a charm from win 10 pro to 11 pro! thanks a lot
Glad it worked for you, thanks for feedback 👍
Thank you so much, works perfectly
Glad it worked, thanks for letting me know!
Thanks for the video, does this work on a laptop who doesnt have the minimum requirement of windows 11?
no reason why not
Oh my god thank you so much you just earned a subscriber!!!!
I'm glad it was helpful, thank you for the sub, and the feedback!
So I decided to download the Windows 11 23h2 pro version from Microsoft and install it on my 12 year old Acer Aspire 5750G laptop. All went smoothly, and it's not showing signs of any problems 😀.
I bypassed Microsofts compatability checker to allow the installation process. It has also been activated with Microsoft 😀.
Not bad for a 12 year old laptop which specs are, Acer Aspire 5750G running i5-2450M 2.5GHz with turbo boost to 3.1GHz, 750GB HHD, 6GB DDR3 memory, it's nothing special by today's standards but when I bought it 12 years ago it was of good specification and it wasn't cheap!!
That's awesome that you revived and old laptop, even older generation CPUs are more than adequate for what many people use today.
Great job 👏
@sheridans It's also now fully updated itself with all the latest updates, and the laptop runs like a dream.
I have ordered some new RAM for it as this was my plan before switching from Windows 10 22H2. I am going to try 2 x 8GB DDR3 RAM in it and see what happens.
I mainly use the laptop to monitor live my CCTV DVR and to do video editing with Filmora for UA-cam.
It's crazy that there are people shelling out big money on new laptops/desktops because they think their current system is now obsolete because Microsoft has blocked unsupported hardware 😞.
Absolutely. Microsoft definitely didn't have the planet in mind when they made this decision.
What will you do if the yellow exclamation comes up?
For me its asking for the product key and i see no option to not use one
Great video got my like
Big thanks
I have Windows 10 Home version: 22H2 however my pc says: THIS PC DOESN'T CURRENTLY MEET THE MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS TO RUN WINDOWS 11 Will your method still work for me ? Thanks
As long as it's a sensible spec, I wouldn't necessarily do it with 4gb of ram 😀
@@sheridans Thank you, it shows Installed RAM 8.0 gb so I should be good to go. Do you agree ? Thank you
8gb ram is fine for Windows 11
@@sheridans Thank you sir.....
as i was downloading it woundlnt work because i didnt have the requirments
oh thank you man im so happy to have a windows 11
Glad it helped! Thank you for the comments, enjoy Windows 11 😀
i have lots of software install in my PC . win10., if i updat win11 , my install sofware working ? or i have to re install all software ?
As long as it goes smoothly as in the video, and it gives you the keep data and applications option you'll be fine.
If it's unsupported hardware, keep.in mind Microsoft may introduce updates that break it in the future
Sheridan another question please...My PC shows all good except TPM not detected (I might be able to enable it) also Processor not currently supported for windows 11 Am I running a risk by installing windows 11 especially when October 2025 rolls around...I remember when I had windows xp...and when that was no longer supported by microsoft my pc bombed...you said there are additional perameters for unsypported CPU and TPM....is it still a risk not getting updates after 2015 ? Thank you very much...just cannot afford a new pc
There will be no security updates for Win 10 after october 2025, running anything that isn't supported or is EoL isnalwqys a risk.
I'm have it running on unsupported PC which is fine atm. Interestingly, Win 11 Enterprise doesn't have the requirements apparently. I need to look into this, obviously that license will have a cost associated with it.
@@sheridans Thank you...please let mr know what you find out....
Sir if the keep file, setting and apps i can't choose it how to fix it? I want to keep all my file (I'm sorry for my bad English)
Someone else in this thread said they experienced the same problem, they fixed by downloading the ISO that was in the same language as their operating system.
I have read the comments and heard that the download needs to be the same language as the windows ( because the option to keep everything was grayed out ) how to know what language is my windows? (sorry im kinda bad at PC's)
You can run "dism /online /get-intl" from command line
Do microsoft powerpoint, word, excel etc. stay paid on the pc or do I need to pay for them again after the installation?
Should stay paid, usually linked to your account. May need to sign in again
Thankyou sir.
I downloaded windows 11 in my Laptop 💻💻😊
Glad it helped, thanks for the feedback
@@sheridans
Sir this window is working slowly
Any solution
10:00 after this step it’s showing “We can’t tell if your PC has enough space to continue installing Windows Server. Try restarting setup”. I tried it again but it’s still showing me that, I don’t know what to do please help! And I have 100GB left in my C drive.
Unfortunately this can happen when you've got something funky going on woth your partitions, which often requires rebuilding BCD which is beyond the scope of this video.
It's also easy to brick your system if you do it wrong.
@@sheridans okay got it, thank you
hello sir i got a problem because it says the disc image file is corrupted what do i do here ( i already tried the command thing it did not work)
If it's corrupt all you can do is redownload
@@sheridans okay ill see if it fixes it thank you
The option to keep files and apps is not available it cant be selected its GREYED OUT.
I really dont wont to install all the stuff that i have.
Is there a fix?
It sounds as though your current windows is not compatible with the Windows upgrade process. For example current installation not being on drive C.
Windows 10 pro same as in the video installed on ssd c drive
I figured it out. ISO MUST be in the same language as the windows if not you can still install but you can't keep setting and apps.
@Blejky Thank you for sharing that, good information 👍
Did wot u said. from win 10 pro us to win 11 pro us. starts installing till 31% then the whole process simply vanishes - I had task manager open (after several tries) doesn't even restart once just process is killed. I removed all unnecessary USB & stuff.any thoughts?
EDR or antivirus software killing it?
@@sheridans EDR was the killA. Dunno how I missed it. working gr8. Cheers
No problems, I'm glad you're sorted 👍
what is your hypervisor? xcp-ng? just saw nic driver....
We use XCP-NG cluster for production, and Proxmox for isolated lab environment.
This would've been on Proxmox
If i update windows 11, my files, documents, apps and all will be stay or removed (deleted) ?
It depends on the option you select as mentioned in the videi
"You at least owe me a like for this" lol. Thanks bruv
Thank you 😀
I did as you directed but in vain the same message this app can't run in your pc
Ventoy runs separately to whats installed on the computer. I don't use ChromeOS myself. I haven't tried to install it this way.
I updated the property of shortcut, applied and saved it. Then when I double click on the shortcut and choose yes on user account control pop up, it gives me an error saying setup.exe - Bad Image. is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error, Try installing the program again using the original installation media or contact your system administrator or the software vendor for support. Error status Oxc0000020. Any suggestions to resolve this plesae?
Sounds like wrong or bad iso, or trying to upgade 32bit to 64bit (not possible)
@@sheridans Thanks for your quick reply. When I downloaded the Windows 11, the extension of the downloaded file was '. crdownload' and so it was not showing the 'mount' option to open the downloaded folder. I changed the extension from . crdownload to .ISO to get the mount option. Not sure if that had caused any issue.
@@amitesh0602 .crdownload files are partial or incomplete downloads. They're temporary files created by Chrome until the file has fully downloaded.
@@sheridans Thanks again. I will redownload and repeat the steps. Hope this will resolve it. Will keep you updated. Thanks a lot.
@@amitesh0602 Welcome
Any downsides of doing it this way if I have supported hardware?
If you have supported hardware, you should be able to do it directly from windows update, or just run the setup as is
Sir unable to tick option for Keep files, settings and apps what should i do?
There are only two options available only 1. is Keep Personal Files only and 2. Nothing
There multiple language iso, the one younuse should match your installed system
u earned that like
Thank you 😊
Nice video.
Thank you
Thank you
Glad it was helpful
After installation can you unmount the iso drive?
You'll have rebooted so no need
you are genius man
glad it helped
Just got the warning about end of life for windows 10! This walk through was great! 100% think its a tool to get your system updated. Had to make a few changes to the UEFI SETTINGS and TMP Setting in bios but this walk through works great
Glad to hear it helped! Thanks for sharing your experience 👍
When i rename target location ; after apply pop up shows
'the name specified in the target box is not valid.make sure the path and file name are correct.'
Please help!! 😢😢
Have you included the double quotes as instructed in the video?
@@sheridansyes i have included double quotes
You could always run it from an elevated command prompt if struggling with the shortcut
Thanks for your quick feedback and also for the video.
There's being a space between double quote and forward SLS. I missed it.That's why this error occur .Now it works.
Thanks.
@@bijoyhridoy375 Good job!
didn't work for me after clicking the edited shortcut i got an error" windows setup cannot parse the provided command-line options"
Then you typed the in wrong, or didn't use quotes as instructed
@@sheridans no i did it exactly as you did in the video "Exactly"
Unless you're using a different language version of windows, it works.
@@sheridans Strangly i tried 5 times and the 6th and i did nothing different other than update the bios now it's installing thanks
Work amazing for my Ryzen 5 2400ge 16gb ram
Glad it worked and thanks for leaving yiur comments
hi! so my machine is not a weak one
gtx1080 ti, i7 8700, 16gb ram
and windows said i don't meet the minimum requirements to install windows 11
will this method work?
Use the video to bypass requirements, has nothing to do with graphics or ram. It's cpu generation and tpm.
how Long Did This That Aproximity
Depends completely on your hardware
tysm i finally got windows 11
glad it worked for you, thanks for letting us know
When ever I make the shortcut I I cannot change it to product server
i don't understand? it's just a shortcut. what is the message you get?
@@sheridans I’m not sure how to explain it I will try again after I get off work
Don't forget to put the double quotes around the existing target string and add the parameters after the final quote.
it won't run with mine
In what way? Errors etc?
Getting a giant pop up saying "your $2500 computer will no longer work in a year" really takes the piss -_-
I can't possibly comment on where you purchased your PC, and the price you paid.
If you follow my instructions it will work, for now unless Microsoft change things; which wouldn't suprise me.
How old is the pc for $2500?
Win sucks
