Wedding & Family 🥰 loved these insights!
@@miaeskin Love it!! Wedding & family are very complimentary niches. Happy you enjoyed the video Mia. :)
Transport Photography but I'm second guessing myself as people just want photos for free
Thank you Chelsea. Well done! These are all great considerations and maybe we should ask ourselves the question first "will photography support me and my family? My enthusiasm for photography started in 1970. It became a progression of photographing landscapes, pets, our children and nature. Here was where I was learning photography. Then a relative, actually 2 relatives, asked me to photograph their weddings on 2 consecutive weekends in 1975.I naively said yes. But fairly quickly more weddings came via word of mouth. I wasn't that great to start with and of course was shooting film. But people liked what I was doing. With a young family there was no way I was going to go full time as a photographer. The reason I was good enough to do weddings, which I did for many years, was that all the other genres I loved enabled me to hone my skills.I only went full time once for about 6 months but was not convinced to pursue full time photography. I probably could have but it might have told on our family circumstances.I still love wedding photography and did my last full wedding about 4 years ago.I still follow developments in what you younger ones are doing and of course all the technology.I found that if you can photograph a wedding successfully nothing else is really beyond your capabilities.Of course if you are photographing people you have first and foremost to be a people person. Geoff form Adelaide, South Australia.
Really cool video. Thanks for taking the time to talk about this.
Thanks, Chelsea! 🥰
I'm just beginning to build a portfolio. No weddings for me. Thanks for the tips.
The lighting, the cactus, the top... it's all a vibe... Also great tips!
Love love love senior photos!
Senior photography is a fantastic niche!! :)
I have been searching all over the internet and UA-cam for solid advice on finding your niche because that is something I've been struggling with for months and I'm so thankful I found you and this video! ❤️ This is exactly what I needed!
I'm so happy I was able to help! Thank you for all of your support 😊
You always provide the best information! Great video!
Thank you so much! I'm so glad you enjoyed it :)
Lots to think about. Great video. 👍🏼
Thank you so much!
My niche...hmmm. I am a birder and flower photographer as I can do this all day. This in itself raises the bar as I really enjoy how fun weddings.
I'm always looking for the shot we want, not I or they and at the same time must be on point. Not that every shot works, you know how that goes but that smile people send points
me more towards people photos as that's not seasonal. My focus is on destination weddings as great things about wedding is they always have flowers and if you know me I'm going to nail those shots as that is part of their package. Though an important note about photography is marketing and portfolio as lacking in either of these means zero clients but the love will always be there.
I love fashion I think is fashion
I also have a heart for fashion/editorial! What kind of fashion do you love shooting the most?
