more uppicking please! i learmed this style about 50 years ago from pete seager's book and i'm still learning. it does not get much respect, and thats too bad.
We’re in the same boat, JC. Up picking definitely fell out of vogue back in the 70s. Three are just a few old time players who up pick that I know off, but it's almost a lost style. Two finger picking certainly has made a come back, so maybe up picking is next. Every time I post an up picking video, it gets a good response, especially for the up picking. More to come!
Thanks Jeff. You’re right, up picking has sort fallen off the radar. I started with this style way back when, and strayed away as well. I’ve been getting very positive feedback though, showing there is interest out there. So I’ve been on a roll lately, and having fun with it.
