I can grow them quite long without them breaking. My secret: no combs, no crotches, no other people touching them and no shortcuts made to grow them faster. When they do get skinny I just twist two adjacent ones and let them coil around each other and then tie the new one into a knot. Grows out thicker underneath.

Hey if someone can help me I actually have 3 questions. 1 I just started my locks again for the third time I put lock extensions in cause I have a high top fade I’m growing the sides out for 4 months. I have 37 dread locks on the top part of my head cause of the extensions and is it possible to be able to split the extensions into smaller sections or no? Question 2 is will my hair look
Better once I grow the sides out and add the extensions into those as well? So just to questions I’m too lazy to go back but thank you for the help if someone answers 😁 I just figured out my third question 3 if I were to take out my extension since I just put them in would they take my actual hair out also?
I don't think the extensions would take out your hair but you should let a professional do it

Restart and have them put the loc jel on and in every loc. Locs should start to bud in 3 months then 1 year later they will be locked if no loc jel it will take longer to bud and loc also oil scalp every 2 days amd wear hair nets scarf

Jus keep takin care of ur hair and patience brodie, they take about a year to a year nd a half to lock depending on how ur hair is.
There's a lot of good crochet hook tutorials on here, I would def recommend that to speed up the maturing process
