Fantastic coverage. Can’t believe the folks of EECC Travels are also there. Now I will see two points of view. That vending machine restaurant reminded me of the old Horn and Hardarts. Looking forward to the next videos.
We just found you a week or so ago and have enjoyed your site and commentary. It was fun revisiting places we have been through your lens. Long time followers of Jason and Alisa so was pleasantly surprised to see both of you on same cruise. Can’t wait to compare vids!!!
Two things: If you ever go to a Halloween party with Jason, PLEASE go as Frodo and Gandolf. I was watching the guitar player thinking, "PLEASE sing Sweet Caroline." His set was over and I was bummed but then the piano player started up and Yesss!! He came through!! I'm excited for this series!
Also tip for the smaller “stroopwafels” but them over your warm cup of coffee or tea for a couple of minutes and then eat them, the caramel inside will have melted just enough to make them extra delicious
Wow, so cool it is nothing like what I thought. It doesn’t seem like it’s boring at all. Looks like I’ve added something else to my bucket list. I’m interested in seeing how the two places in one day works.
So excited for this series! Love your music selections for this video - adventurous and bold! And love the new music during the dinner photos - classy and sophisticated! I am definitely liking the feel of the stress-free river cruise vibe. And your dinner looked and sounded amazing. So exciting overall - been anticipating your River cruise 🤗 Can’t wait to see more! ❤️❤️❤️
I stayed in Amsterdam for 5 days then boarded a Viking river boat down the Rhine last March. My 1st river cruise! It was really amazing, fantastic, food, awesome tours, and one of the best adventures of my life! I hope you have the same amazing wonderful experience! But I still prefer large sailing ships 😊
Hi. Found your vlogs because I follow EEEC travels and Ben and David. Not sure if I saw you on other vlogs. Love to see how you walked through Amsterdam. It’s great to see my home country through vlogger eyes. I’m not living in Amsterdam, but my son is, although not in the center of the city, so I know the town pretty good. I’ve seen the videos from EEEC travels till Brussel, so I have to catch up with yours. Looking forward to them.
Awesome to see your walk through Amsterdam. I was fortunate enough to spend a day there recently. Your video brought back some wonderful memories. Hope you both enjoy the river cruise...it's very high on my list of "must do" itineraries. Cheers! 😁👍
The pasta in the consommé is really a piece of crepe. Crepes, as they are neutral, are often eaten with savoury accompaniments in Europe. I grew up in Germany, just outside Basel, Switzerland. A very common type of soup there is Flädlesuppe (a beef consommé with thin strips of crepes).
I goofed and we ended up staying in Utrecht which was definitely not near Amsterdam! It was a very expensive cab ride but when we wised up and took the train from Utrecht to Rotterdam for Norwegian Fjords cruise then back to Amsterdam after the cruise and then to the airport, it was very reasonable and very handy!
Have you tried TUI River cruises? It looks like they’re out of England but sail down through the UK. I’ve seen a few vlogs but I am curious since was your first River cruise
It's from Amazon and we have it our shop. It can be found at www.parodeejay.com/amazon It's great it has not tarnished at all and I basically wear it everyday haha.
This cruise line looks amazing we were on Viking in July but seems like you had better entertainment! Do they have tables for two in the dining room? Thanks
I ran into the bath cloth problem while in Europe as well. Hotel receptionist was so baffled I was asking for a wash cloth. How do Europeans wash their bodies especially at hotels.
I'd forgotten that was a thing until the first time stayed on land in England. From there, I'm always surprised when I *do* get a washcloth on a European cruise or in a hotel, ha ha... :P ~Jay

I laughed at the whole “Sweet Caroline” stuff! 😂 You can’t escape! 😂
I would have never imagined that music onboard!!! Rick James and the Cupid Shuffle. Talk about global reach!😮

Ah, fun! Glad to have you along for our craziness, ha ha. We met the EECC gang back in 2017 and have done quite a few trips together. Good folks!! :D

Seeing you guys in Europe seems strange to me 😂. But I’m sure it is going to be fun. Was looking forward to this series
I'm so excited to watch this!!👍💜🕊
Thanks so much for this river cruise vlog, the first day looked like so much fun, can't wait for the rest!
Jay, you know you can't escape Sweet Caroline! 😅 Great footage!

I`ve always wanted to do a river cruise so I`m excited to see this series.
A river cruise has been on my bucket list. Thanks for showing us AMA cruise line.
I’ve been toying with the river cruise idea. I can’t wait to finish this series 🙌🏾
Put on my bucket list , thanks for preview

Enjoying your videos just subscribed. Enjoyed seeing Jason and Alisa
You guys had a fancy ship, normally river cruises don’t have a pool, unless maybe in Egypt
We went on an 8-day Rhine River cruise with Viking this past October. Awesome cruise.
So happy to watch this trip.

the food looks so much better than ocean cruises
Amazing. Wish I was there with you. So much fun, like a sail away party while staying put.
Fun to see how you both experienced my home country.
Very interesting, I have always been curious about the river cruises, looking forward to all the blogs… so much fun on your first day!!
Everything looked fantastic
It looks like so much fun
This is so fantastic. How can you stand it !!! So excited for you 😁
Just thought you'd like to know "stroop" is the liquid on the waffle. Stroop is treacle in English, but also known as molasses. 😊
Ohooooo, a fun fact about a favorite food that I didn’t actually know. Thanks so much!! :D ~Jay
Looks fun
This is cool
If I could get on that ship i would love it.
The Europeans need their smoking area! LOL!
Jay, do you have to crouch to get through the doorways? You look so close to the ceiling!
Have you tried TUI River cruises? It looks like they’re out of England but sail down through the UK. I’ve seen a few vlogs but I am curious since was your first River cruise
We haven’t! This was our one and only river cruise thus far!! :D
Dee, I LOVE your necklace! Can I ask where you got it?
It's from Amazon and we have it our shop. It can be found at www.parodeejay.com/amazon
It's great it has not tarnished at all and I basically wear it everyday haha.
This cruise line looks amazing we were on Viking in July but seems like you had better entertainment! Do they have tables for two in the dining room? Thanks
Not that we saw. The smallest was a four-top on this ship.
Thanks
I could afford it I would take a river cruise every year!
We're y'all with Jason & Alissa on this cruise?
Yes indeed!! :D
LOL Not fancy onions...
That cabin in small! I guess they figure you don't spend much time there.
Will you do an American river cruise?
We'd love to, but the pricing for American river cruises seems higher overall than European, unfortunately!! :P
Do river boats have muster drills?
They do! We showed a bit of it in this part one vlog. We sat in the lounge, they gave us drinks, and we listened to the safety speech!! :D
Small cabin

They use a loofah or a mesh sponge.
How many passengers on board?
The ship has 81 staterooms in total, so about 162 folks at double occupancy.
Will be on Certo Dec 2024 10 day Xmas Markets Basel to Amsterdam
