Quark: I want you to try something for me. Take a sip of this.
    Garak: What is it?
Quark: A human drink. It's called root beer.
    Garak: Uh, I don't know...
Quark: Come on, aren't you just a little bit curious?
[Garak sighs, takes a sip, and gags]
    Quark: What do you think?
    Garak: It's *vile!*
Quark: I know. It's so bubbly, and cloying, and happy.
    Garak: Just like the Federation.
Quark: But you know what's really frightening? If you drink enough of it, you begin to like it.
    Garak: It's *insidious!*
    Quark: *Just like the Federation.*

One thing about DS9. As we know the Federation will end up building a new Station that is more advance than the old station. DS9 would remain. There doing its duties to the bitter end. As moving the station would be too dangerous and destroying the station would cause a lot of backlash. As DS9 is an Icon to the region. It would be logical to have two stations guarding the Worm Hole. One that IS a military Outpost and the other a trading hub and more civilian station. Though in times of war. Could easily be brought back to service and serve as a repair and supply station for war efforts in the area. Just make sure DS9 isn't bought by a Ferangi.

      It really doesn't.
Long form TV can do things films can't. Many of DS9's themes and plots needed time to grow and breathe. You really wanna see the entire several season arc jizzed out in two hours?

    I love DS9!
I'd say not only foreign pressure on the Cardassians to leave Bajor, but also Bajoran freedom fighters making the Cardassians look like fools. Don't forget the brave sacrifice of the Bajoran militia to ensure a future for all Bajorans!

Great video. I always found it a bit odd that the Cardassian would not refine the ore on the surface instead of moving tons of rock into space and then refining it.

    • @juzoli
      @juzoli 2 роки тому

Also odd to keep the Cardassian leadership, and the oppressed slave workers under one roof. Easy way to get sabotage, assassination or rebellion.
It would make much more sense to keep the station for management only, far from the dangers, in a clean luxurious environment.
