Intro: No Interruption - Hoodie Allen
"Outclassed by the power creep" is so real lmao
What’s the power creep
@@evanreloadingbazookagaming1699power creep just means that things get stronger as time goes on. In Pokémon’s case, modern Pokémon like fluttermane, goldhengo, etc. are much stronger than Pokémon from earlier gens
Truly because of speed
@@evanreloadingbazookagaming1699what the other guy says. Its that the developers keep introdicing more powerful moves and pokemon so that you will use the new pokemon over the old ones. They know the old ones are more popular so they give tue new ones an adge by making them stronger to guarantee people will play with them. But it means that unless the old mons get cherrypicked for buffs too, they will get left behind and will be outclassed by newer mons. You see it in the games, but also in the TCG. 10 years ago, no pokemon had 200 hp, now almost all special cards do. In gen 1, the tankiest cards did often not even make 100. In gen 9, a lot of mons came out that would be utterly overpowered in previous generations. But most mons got upgrades so the entire field gets lifted. And the mons that dont get big buffs like Haxorus get left behind. Its a little sad but understandable and refreshing at the same time
The irony is that Haxorus used to be the definition of power creep back in Gen 5.
Found out first hand from battling you last Friday how dangerous HAX still is. It took out 2 of my mons. If my great tusk doesn't land a Crit close combat to take it out you sweep and I probably end up in a video.
Our battle was legendary and it was an honor. Keep up the good work it makes my lunch breaks awesome!
I'm a simple man. I see Haxorus, I click.
Amen brother
Same
Fax...orus
It is the best looking dragon
This made me laugh man.. yep. 100% that
It didn't matter but at 8:15 you could've clicked earthquake since Mold Breaker would've let you hit Flygon even with Levitate
Someone beat me to it 👏
People forget how good Mold Breaker actually is
I was thinking the same
@@javierreyes2502It took me until BDSP to learn that Mold Breaker nullifies Sturdy, and even then I thought it was coincidence that my Pinsir kept one-shotting Gravelers.
People either underestimate Haxorus because it isn't a pseudo-legendary or overestimate it because they think it's one.
its both in my hear1🥰
Let's be real, it may as well be one.
What is great about Tera electric mold Breaker Haxorus is that he completely destroys every wall in the game. What you need is Dragon Dance, Tera Blast, Iron Head, Earthquake, say goodbye to Clodsire, Skeledirge, Corviknight, Dondonzo, Clefable😂
Okay bro I see you I might copy this! Good idea
but what if they tera?
@@Genericmug but what if.... you could apply that logic to almost any game where you verse a human opponent. Opponent is supposed to be taken by suprise obviously, you don't show your Tera until you need it, nobody really expects Tera electric.
I love Haxorus. I found a shiny one out of nowhere on Glaseado Mountain in my Violet version. With all the updates to make competitive battling easier, I turned it from trash into a diamond.
Was just wondering as someone who skipped Gen 9, what changes were made? For me the most annoying things were getting perfect IV’s and nature so if those were made easier that would be cool.
@@natnaterson9717depending on how long you’ve been out of the games, they have bottle caps which allow you to max out ivs, and you can quick battle (send out a Pokémon in the real world, doesn’t have a standard battle) and KO Pokémon, which counts for evs as well. Tms are also much easier to acquire in gen 9. Hope this helps!
@@natnaterson9717oh and they have mints which allow you to manually change natures
@@natnaterson9717Since generation 7 (Sun and Moon) there have been items called Bottle Caps that you can give to an NPC to max out a Pokémon’s IVs. In gen 7 and 8(?) your Pokémon had to be level 100 to use this, but in Gen 9 it was changed to be level 50.
Generation 8 also added Nature Mints, which allow you to change your Pokémon’s nature to one more beneficial, though berries that confuse based on Natures still work off of the original nature.
Gen 8 also added EXP. Candy, which gives Experience based on what sized candy you give it (XL giving the most, and XS the least).
These changes makes it so much easier to make legit competitive teams, and if you’re an avid shiny hunter like me, full shiny teams that are actually good. It still takes some grinding (mostly Raids in gens 8 and 9) but it’s MUCH easier than how we used to have to breed for just about everything.
@@natnaterson9717there are also items that can let you change between a pokemons abilities, including hidden abilities. Egg moves can be transferred to pokemon, no breeding required. You can build any shiny into a perfect competitive pokemon.
17:10 at his point you had a guaranteed safe turn, Cinderrace was in its guaranteed sleep turn, so you had another chance to set up the Rocks with a stone axe
Yeah, but if Cinderace had stayed in to burn the guaranteed sleep turn while Hayden switched out to physical Milotic, he could get in a potentially free DD to keep pace with the Contrary Sticky Web (and have an attack boost under his belt to potentially take out whatever comes in).
The king of nicknames 😂 - Darth Blader is brilliant
Jean Clawed is amazing too😂
Shit I read that as bladder
Back in Gen 5 Haxorus was favourite dragon type. It was just an incredible wallbreaker. And I really like its look.
Second match was definitely a "You dare use my own spells against me, Potter?!" moment for Haydunn
Haxorus may be slowly falling off but it will always have one of the most metal designs ever
U turning into ambipom for a fake out or bullet punching twice was actually ur best play for turns 1 and 2 since u would have for sure prevented light screen from going up. This also means ur gastordon probably kills that sneasler since it wouldnt have light screens.
Love the dd loaded dice scale shot with tera steel iron head and cc for the last move
Haxorus is my go to dragon in my playthroughs bro will sweep through them ai teams.
Holy shit youre still around? Thats awesome, man. Keep it up, dude! You were huge on my childhood
8:02 bro I only found your channel a few days ago, really enjoy the description 😂 happy bday on this vid too dude!
I've been using Rev and Hax as a team since this generation started tbh.
But for the first time I have to call out the header because pretty much everyone jas known exactly how hard this sucker hits after a single dance and the move pool has always been excellent. Outrage and Lum, lum and taunt, taunt and dance, etc
I have shiny haxorus from completing the Unova (White 2) Dex. Caught it in a Master Ball. Love him.
The first match was easy satisfying street, but the second one was omg heart in my throat, I couldn't believe you made it out alive XD
Unfortunately, I'm not a big fan of Pokemon's transistion from the dual screen consoles to the Switch, but I will always watch a Haydunn video, because you truly are the GOAT of competitive singles wi-fi battles. I still watch your Gen 7 videos all the time! I've learned so much from you and no matter where Pokemon goes, I will continue to watch your content. Keep grinding my dude.
The text box about sound moves does come up, but the opponent has to try using the sound move. Then the text box comes up explaining that the sound move failed due to Throat Chop
Why did I just get swept by this thing 3 minutes ago then this video popped up on my timeline with this exact build. I blame you 😂 lol
MEGA HAXSAUROUS FOR Z-A
We can truly hope
I have fucking absolutely love Haxorus. It's been my favourite Gen5 Pokemon since I'd seen it leaked. It's just been overshadowed by... almost every other dragon type out there. Even Druddigon. I still believe in you, Haxorus.
In what world is druddigon better than haxorus
@@gabsaurus9146 Life Orb+Sheer Force. It was pretty common on Trick Room teams in Gen5 UU.
haydunnnnn you stay slayin please keep it up you’re by far my fav pokemon youtuber🙏 (and please use a tera dragon clawitzer with sticky webs up and an assault vest)
Haxorus is amazing. Monstrous attack, with a speed stat slightly below Garchomp. Making it often overlooked. If this dude gets a dragon dance in, it's all over.
0:46 this ❤
Always love some afternoon delight Haydunn
That flygon set is sick
Game Freak needs to buff the stats of all fully evolved pokemon outclassed by power creep for a truly diverse meta
Hayden: clicks dragon claw against steel type flygon when mold breaker + earthquake means you can ko it 😭😭😭
He’s always uploading just in time for my lunch breaks ❤️
Back in sun and moon I made a critical haxorus. Focus energy plus scope lense
UA-cam stop notifying me with uploads and I don’t wanna miss the god content my guy.
every time you say "commit the Tera" i hold on to my chair
Love the subtle Norman Sann reference
Ever since you did that Regigigas Video I’ve been wanting to get my own shiny in SWSH and got it today on my break! 591 SR!! Let’s go!! Thank you dude for sparking that hunt for me!!
Feel like Haxorus would be a good Pokémon for someone in landscaping or lumber
Its always been so bizarre to me that Haxorus was never part steel. The shiny especially really sells it as a dragon that grew its own steel like scales. Not to mention the axe like fangs. What a shame.
I don't think the flygon would have been jolly, more timid but I get it. I can imagine sneasler was being conservative with the acrobatics forgetting that Scizor would require a bit more from a neutral hit
Oh and you did fight your Cinderace strategy before. For some reason that thing really caught o
The random slurs hit good
Planning any videos with krookodile???
Damn man i used to watch you yeaaars ago.Good to see you still enjoying Pokémon
Gen 5 had the best designs in the series.
What the hay!? Shiny Kommo-o is a Piccolo dragon? Incredible.
It's great to see haxorus getting some attention!
I'm so annoyed I can't name Haxorus MurderFace anymore.
It’s a vicious mon that doesn’t get used enough
Man, either that Milotic is huge, or that Serperior is tiny. Holy crap.
Such a sick thumbnail 🔥 Haxorus is such a cool dragon type
Haxorus and other ddance users can be so nasty. I had a game on showdown the other day where my team sucked so I just threw the other 5 mons to chip and proceeded to reverse sweep with ddance Baxcalibur
I just caught the shiny haxorus in nature preserve in Black 2. I’ll be sending it to Home soon. Full 31 IVs.
Haxorus is NUTS. I was playing Pokerogue the other day and he literally hard-carried lol
Man he looks so much cooler in 2D
Most dragons did. Dragonite got done dirty the most
Love the vids bro. Can you tell us how you EV train the mons you’re featuring?
Damn straight shout out to natsu my haxorus
My boy Haydunn! Get that bag!
Favorite dragon type. D Dance, P Jab, EQ, and Outrage.
I still love Haxorus. Mold Breaker tends to catch opponents "Unaware".
Lets go Haydunn another great vid!!!❤
One of my favorite gen 5 mons
I haven't played many games. Played red and this year picked up gold, and platinum. I used him in my platinum play through he felt super strong in gen 4. No idea about the newer gens, power creep is real. He's like one of 5 of the new Pokémon I liked.
Does guts work with burn? I thought burn reduced attack? I always used poison because of that.
Haxorus didn’t exist until gen 5 so there’s no way you used this in platinum 😅
@@Haydunn haha oh I do have black and white..I didn't think I finished that game though. Well this goes to show just how much experience I have 🤭. I struggle with the type chart after gen 2.
just sayin, i would have gone for a second stone axe on the smeargle as at that point you would have got the stealth rocks on both sides
That 2nd battle was crazy
So like, does anyone remember the move brick break?
I was wondering about this. I suppose it’s just not meta to bring it?
Is it maybe possible to cover a video on an offensive Alcremie or Liligant??
My favorites
nearly at the post game in white 2 where u can catch a shiny haxorus so im watching this for research reasons
With the prominence of Grimsnarl and screens why don't more people run Brick Break? It's got a decent base power especially with that utility
You really like curse umbreon, you’ve used it on a lot of teams😊
Why do you choose Poison Jab over Iron Head?
Ok, I might be willing to sleep on Comfrey.
scarf Haxorus is underrated same with scaleshot lucky dice
Such a great mon
Sick thumbnail, sick nickname, sick battle.
Haxorus to me has always looked like a pokemon who's design was never finished. Still looks pretty cool but can't help but feel like something is missing.
Haxorus is my personal favorite Gen 5 Pokemon.
It's a dinosaur with an axe for a face.
There's not a word in that sentence that isn't badass.
thanks for give me a good competitive option for one of my favorite pokemons.
Wouldn't it make more sense for the Flygon to be Timid nature?
Can you do a video for dragalge? It's really underated, pokemon with good defense stats and typing, I know you can do cool some plays with him.
I always name my Haxorus Chara, based of the Undertale character, bc it plays with sharp objects and kills everything after playing with those sharp objects.
The only thing you need for Haxorus is Guillotine and choice scarf
Why poison jab over iron head on hax?
Haxorus More like hackorus
Try that SD + scale shot set
Tera steel putting an axe on the head was just meant for haxorus
why am i just now learning that hax gets first impression??
I’m actually not sure what outclass’s haxours, haxours is the best dragon dance user.
It is the best in the game is it not?
Depends on what you value. Other Dragon Dance users can fit other roles and in many ways be more annoying.
it’s time to shine for Blaxorus! 😎
Oh Haxorus! I tried using this Pokémon, even shiny hunted it. But it always got clapped before it could do anything meaningful. 😭😅🙈
When’s your next nuzlocke? Can you do Pokémon reborn?
HAXORUS GETS FIRST IMPRESSION NOW?!
It gets first impression now.
That’s amazing lmao
since last gen iirc
@@juejuejue damn ur right how did I forget.. or not notice lol
Casual Ubers Sneasler
one of my fav boys lets go!
2nd game was crazy !
I think all pseudo legendary need mega evolution in the new game and haxorous if it have one gona be so epic
Haxorus my beloved.
Next video should be "Garchomp deals way less damage than you thought" xD
-as it gets tank by a white squirrel and a small bipedal fluff ball- _(just joking btw)_
Haxorus still looks cool and yeah, an amazing shiny to boot
Haxorus really got cheated out of being a pseudo
