I have ordered the Engwe E26 looking through many youtube videos, if I had watched yours first i could have saved my time not watching the rest, you explained everything anyone needs to know about the bike, other videographers take note from this professional, don't rabbit on, get to the point, i don't want to know your lifes story, clearly this video explains all, Kudos mate.

@@TeddyArmitage I have other ebikes, last one a Giant cost 3 grand, the Engwe E26 is far superior, even down to the packaging, the build quality is exelent, the motor is very powerful and pulls like a train, when you get to the section about power percentage, you will find what suits you best through trial and error, no big deal, but it is worth sorting that out early on, lots of video's on that, i am sticking with the nobbly tyres, but you can get road tyres if you don't go over rough terrain, this reduces resistance and tyre noise, the luggage rack is great...but i am a little short in the leg and catch my ankles cocking my leg over some times, because of the legnth of it (i have the cross bar type), little tip, on assembling the front wheel, washer on the inside of the forks, thrust washer with tang on the outside followed by the nut, if assembled wrong the spokes can catch on the fork legs making a ticking noise, I did it! Since owning the bike i cant keep off it, one thing you will notice is constant compliments from pedestrians and other cyclist, but i did get the bumble bee yellow, seems to be a hit with the girls, you see all different emotional faces as you pass people by, some of surprise and smiles, some of plain downright jealousy, but on the whole positive feedback, I had no idea it would attract all that attention, I didnt buy it to pose, but it comes with the package!

@@doncastervrandvideo8956 what an amazing reply! Thank you so much for your time in giving me all that info! The change of tyres shout is a great one! I can see them pretty noisy on the roads and that is where I will be riding my new bike. Thank you for your advice! I also have gone for the bumblebee yellow version. I just hope some of the horror stories will not be applicable to me. Will keep you posted. Thank you mate

😅 hehehe the exact E26 I have it is a Godzilla of a bike..the huge wheels and steep toptube. Although definitely I got used to it over time..even so much my a bit shorter wife actually is ok and using it more often as she grew used to it. I did swap the seat post for a regular one so it could drop even 8cm lower. And mounted a backsweeped handle bar for a shorter reach and more upright city tour position. But it's such a great and fast ride! Absolute good price and while having some flaws and not the best build quality.. some things flex a bit much and my disk rotors catching the brake pads even after realigning everything..it does indeed have some rattling noises from the fenders cables and brakes.. however..that price and the superb power and speed of it is absolutely enjoyable

I have a Eleglide M2 on the way that I'm considering putting the included throttle kit on but I'm concerned about getting pulled with it. Do the police around here tend to give you much hassle on these more... "exotic" ebikes that you tend to ride around on?

It's a shame that Engwe don't entertain the Cycle to Work scheme to make buying a +£1,000 bike easier. When it comes to i live in theNY are and trust me the thieves still run off with the bike. I've even seen thieves take a full blown gas powered moped with no keys they don't care i always throw a lock on. Alot of the time the key ignition doesn't deter them.

I think to insure it at a moped you will need indicators and a probably a few other things

Personally I wouldn't leave it locked up with battery connected with or without key. And if you're locking in a nice safe place then no key doesn't really matter.
