I use to watch this as well as Keeping up Appearances with my Nana. Not a day goes by that I think of her and the memories we made. This show will always hold a special place in my heart
my dad loved the manager actor and always said he was the best actor as a postman in another series i cannot recall i think it was fellow out of tooting front as a dentist
My former husband and I lived on Bayview Dr. We were in our late 30s. We thought what a entertaining show about old folks. I'm now 70 years old in Senior apartments, waiting for God. It's not so entertaining in real life.
@@RicciBilotta If you do an internet search for the show's title, followed by "Dailymotion" (it's another video platform) you can find it there. Some hints about the dailymotion website: you'll see a notice in the upper right corner of the video that is their cookies statement. Do not click "I understand" - otherwise you'll get a lot of ads. You can still view full screen without agreeing to cookies. I watch a lot of things on dailymotion that are usually not found on youtube. I've found the best way to search for specific things on dailymotion is to follow the steps I laid out: use a search engine with the title of the show (you can add season/episode as well) followed by dailymotion. Then check the "video" results from your search.
That music straight away takes me back to the early 90s, Stephanie Cole is always good in whatever she does. This is how to write a sit com, don't just go for laughs the whole time contrast it with serious or even sad parts, the bit at the beginning with Tom going in you really feel it, it makes the laughs work better when they come.
American 'comedians' need to watch this. Humor, sarcasm, double entendres, a bit raunchy. . . No cursing, no meanness. I love this show. All British comedies actually, but I want to be like Diana when I grow up😂
I agree, Mathew. I did watch this series about 18 months ago on You Tube which was uploaded perfectly, but has since been taken down due to copyright, although goodness knows why. It's not as if it were a blockbuster movie, but I'm guessing the uploader didn't have permission, which is a pity. This is better than nothing though. :o)
OMG Favorite show from the Saturday night line up right here!! I must purchase the full download of As Time Goes By, Are You Being Served?, Red Summer Wine, and this gem.
Yeah I know this is a rough cut. Sadly I don't think it's actually legal to put the episode up for free here, so you get what ya didn't pay for here. The whole set is pretty cheap, but I'm sure there are some torrent sites you can find it on HD for free.
This is why I’m here! Just watching The Cleaner (S1E4) and recognised Stephanie Cole instantly, but thought she was about 70 when I was a teenager, therefore must be over 100 now! She’s the same age here as me now 🙈
She was Delphine Featherstone in Open All Hours, dressed in black and collided with Granville as he came out of the shop. Formidable even back in the 80s!
It is a shame that the encode turned out this way, or is this to circumvent copyright, I can't understand how it passed any form of visual QC, it's a centre cut out of the 720x576 original, maybe 320x240 or something ....and then on top line tearing interlace issues. I'm guessing an old M$ windows encode :) takes me back 20 years though. Thanks 👍
The formatting of this upload is terrible. The picture is swelled up so much, you cant see much of the outside of the frame. Everything is in extreme close-up.
The two leads Graham Crowden & Stephanie Cole where great in their roles as fully rounded characters, it’s the rest of the cast who fail, all two dimensional sitcom caricatures that stopped this from becoming a classic show.
The continuity slipped up in this episode, as Tom appears to have three grandchildren, not two as in later series (Tarquin and Skye). Why couldn't this anomaly be removed? Get the story right!

This show gave me a deeper appreciation for seniors n also overturned my opinions on many things
As did _Last of the Summer Wine_ for me . . .
I like the bit where you can see their whole face
That one did make me laugh out loud
Gets past copyright this way. Otherwise, no Waiting for God.
I agree, the humor is great but only being able to see parts of their anatomy every now and then is very frustrating. It might as well be on the radio
Rather not watch,not like this

Excellent, many thanks for posting. Some of the picture is better than no picture at all.

I remember Watching this Show Saturdays on PBS
OMG Favorite show from the Saturday night line up right here!! I must purchase the full download of As Time Goes By, Are You Being Served?, Red Summer Wine, and this gem.
Same
I would like keeping up appearances and Mulberry as well
May to December
I wish you could see the whole video and not just a portion of it. I love this show
Full, un-cropped episodes are available on dailymotion, but on UA-cam they get blocked or taken down for copyright
To much truth...has nothing to do with copyright or daily motion would not have excess either.
@@JustYaeWendt Why is Daily Motion allowing it, and not UA-cam?
@@johnking5174 Dailymotion is french owned, UA-cam is American!
Love the musical piece. The Trout Quintet from Schubert.
Thank you
This show introduced me to this piece!!! Love it!
Yes, I know that very well- being an amateur string player in an orchestra with a musical background.
The start with the music and the Volvo estate, comic brings back a lot of memories of the 90s.
Would be nice to actually see the whole picture.
I agree. But I don't know anything about the technical side. Maybe it couldn't be done.
If you put the speed of play upto 1.25 that makes it sound the normal speed it originally was.
Really enjoyable.
CANT ANYONE RECORD SOMETHING WITHOUT CHOPPING OFF THE HEADS AND TURN THE BLOODY VOLUME UP FOR GOODNESS SAKE I COULD DO BETTER WITH MY EYES CLOSED
TOOK THE WORDS STRAIGHT OUTTA MY MOUTH........

I thought it was my tele. Thanks
I need a bloody ear trumpet to hear it. Abominable sound levels.
I think this was done to hide from the BBC patents
Great! Maybe you could try reposting these so you could actually see and hear it.
I hate it when half the view is blocked. Spoils it!
Love it
She was only 49 when she’s started the series???
Apparently. She pulled the part off well. Had me fooled.
Stephanie Cole used to play characters much older than she really was. She was alsi brilliant in Tenko

the grown ups have entered the rooom
I really hate watching videos when the actors heads are cut off in filming.
The sound is very low
Where are their heads?
Thanks! I’ve never seen the first episode.
Canned laughter spoils this show
You could have at least uploaded something watchable and give everyone a chance to download a decent copy before they told you to take it down.
Pity there is only one episode in Series 1 and 2, and 10 episodes in Series 3. So much is missing, Still worth watching though.
Opening theme reminds me of Faulty Towers !
its a good metaphore or similie for the manager trying to keep heaven on the qt or rather the perjury of people normal quite the waiting for you know
thank you!!!
I think the reason why it's not a full version, is because of copyright. It does the same with Judge Judy 🙁

Why most videos has been delegated ???????????!!!!!!??!

I can only see part of the picture!
Is there a clip of jane your touchimg me

is this guess who is on the screen.

Don`t bother. It` only 3/4 high and cuts the tops off the original. I prefer the other UA-cam version.
BBC dogs in the manger don’t show this but won’t let us!
sount a bit quiet for me
Need volume too low
I can’t see anyone’s faces something very wrong!
With the poor audio/video quality how did this show ever pass QC to make it onto television
VOLUME IS TOO LOW
Can’t hear it good!
Another favorite Britcom.
But can my mom just die so I can move on with my life.
That nose tho
All the comments bitc*ing about the picture/sound quality blow my mind. It's free so zip it!!
sorry not deaf but sound too low
Get better! Bye!
as bad as my eyes are its even worse with this film frame like poor things film on the fight scene after the dance periscope wise
Terrible video recording
Aspect ratio is all wrong! Heads cut off! Learn how to use the bloody software and then re-upload!
OMG JUST FOUND SHOW. ITS 🤣
