- My first video as a former Jehovah's Witnesses and why I'm starting this channel. I hope this channel encourages PIMI witnesses to challenge their beliefs, and to have the confidence to act on what they believe.
It's so crazy when we find out everything we've been taught our whole lives is an illusion.

Yea, it's like how far does the lie go? Is there really a Jehovah? Jesus? Is the Bible really gods word? It kind of sets you on a self discovery path. And it's not at all what we've been taught to believe.

You will be fine. It takes some adjustment that’s for sure, esp if your family is shunning you. This community has been huge in giving love and support.
Some other great channels are Mark Martin, Lady Cee and JT (I think it’s JW Reasoning) as well as the ones Aaron mentioned.
I’m anxious to watch this channel grow.

I don't speak English, only Spanish, so I asked Google for help to watch your video and make this short comment. Your first video has been beautiful, congratulations. I have a very similar experience to yours. I was the third generation of Jehovah's Witnesses in my family. I was baptized at age 12 (1958) and officially left the organization in February 2018. I was 63 years in it, 38 years as an elder. In 2017 I began to investigate deeply in the New Testament and thanks to the spirit of the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ I began to see the truth that is in Christ. I believe that we only need the Bible -since the truth is in Christ- and place our faith in Christ and obey him. I am glad that my faith and conscience is proper in a certain way. I am already 76 years old and my desire is the one mentioned in 2 Cor. 5:1-9). It made me happy to know from you that you have not abandoned being united to Christ. Thank you for your video and sorry for the translation.

I delivered my letter in April 2019. My act was a political act. I am very proud of my decision. My positivity and the joy which followed this withdrawal destabilized those around me. My joyous emancipation only made their subjugations more evident. I have shown my family and in-laws that fear stifles thinking and stifles the real personality. This family electroshock will have saved my two cherished children. My withdrawal should become a chance for all those around me and not a shame. Gone are the days when we exJWs were silent in our isolation. Today let us be proud to have excluded this company from our life. Let us stand up and speak, bear witness, with a loud voice.

I went through the entire Disfellowshipping process asca deliberate act to preach the Gospel to the Judicial Committee and watch see how they will disfellowship me on account of the scriptures. They sure did! And I sure captured it on camera and put it on my channel 🤪 Evil religion 🙄

New subscriber here, I'm living proof that it's never too late to leave the organisation, I'm 82 this year and have been totally inactive for about 4 years now, I'm not disfellowshiped, and intend to stay that way. My pseudonym is just in time, after 46 years as a jw the internet has been my waking up call, I've found that the ex jw community on line to be most encouraging, as most will realise that finding the TRUTH about the "truth" is quite a shock to the system. I left 10 years ago after being a JW my entire life (45 years) and 4th generation JW.
Every day out of this wicked organization is a gift. I'm so glad for you, Justin. You are the rare individual that had the guts and honesty to exit the WT once you knew the truth. I know so many JWs who stay in despite knowing the lies. For others, pride and ego prevent them from admitting they got duped and, in order to save face, they remain JWs just so they don't have to admit they were wrong. They don't really care about truth, so they stay. Pathetic.
It gives us more hope that anyone who is sincere can leave this corrupt pedophile and hipocryte infested organization. Well done!
That is extraordinary after so long. I couldn’t imagine a JW having any semblance of a critical thought left after so long. Well done you. My sister has been in for 50 years and I’m convinced she has no hope left to leave. She has caused so much pain to our non JW family over the years, I don’t think there is anything left for her outside of the Borg.

Wow! Six months. You are just starting to taste your freedom. Making the break isn't easy. You will probably ask yourself the same questions that I did. What if I'm wrong? Am I too critical of the organization? NO and NO. This organization have some of the best hypocrites out there. Get online and do your research. You have some work to do. The more you find out about this organization the more that you want to find out. You are on a quest.

It's a separation between honest Cristians and false Cristians.

Amen! I disassociated myself as well, in February of this year! I was a pioneer for 14 years. In my letter, I included the verse in ( Rev 18:4) I stated that I wanted to remove myself from Babylon the Great! Lost my children, grandchildren, & mother. It's been a really tough year. Today, more and more of us are waking up. The BIG wake up call rang for Jehovah's Witnesses and the "elastic" generation helped me realize I was in a cult.
What made you start thinking about the overlapping generation situation that JW’s find themselves in? Did someone ask you how to explain that or what made you even really think about it?
@@Deepthoughts4ever I had more and more difficulty explaining the new doctrine of this "double generation" which is becoming more and more of a stumbling block for honest JWs. Constrained by the passage of time, Jehovah's Witnesses have been forced to teach this unbiblical "dual generation" that puts reason and common sense to shame. The passage of time will increasingly demonstrate the absurdity of this fundamentalist cult. Over time all the different "divine lights" that enlightened this "generation" turned out to be more false than the other. The passage of time reveals the disproportionate pride of this cult which, instead of humbly recognizing its inability to understand this "generation", prefers to persist in its false interpretations, going so far today as to artificially twist the words of Jesus by making them less understandable. Stubbornness in error to the point of absurdity is a characteristic of proud humans. Proverbs 16:18 After pride comes a fall.
That's it, it's over, the generation of 1914 no longer exists. There are no more Jehovah's Witnesses. Today only Watchtower witnesses teach this “Watchtorian” aberration.
That's it, it's over, this "elastic" generation no longer deceives anyone, except those who want to prolong at all costs the generation of 1914 which no longer exists.
The blindness of the followers to follow men pushed them to agree to twist the words of Jesus to artificially keep afloat the generation of 1914 which no longer exists.
The passing years will only demonstrate the die-hard vanity of this cult. It reminds me of Mr. Rutherford who had the house of princes built to welcome the patriarchs of old and who said to all those who laughed, we will see who will laugh last. Finally, the last to laugh were the same ones from the first hour. The passage of time is a powerful revealer.
That's it, it's over, despite everything some JWs will go so far as to lose all dignity by clinging to the slightest news that could still give them a semblance of hope, but that's it... it's over.

@@Deepthoughts4ever The topic of the "elastic" generation has become taboo for JWs. Even my pioneer sister does not want to discuss this subject with me. More and more JWs suffer from cognitive dissonance regarding the absurdity of this new doctrine. Around me, there are more and more JWs who dare not show their doubt for fear of being stigmatized by their loved ones. The end of this cult is before us and contrary to the JWs the passage of time strengthens the global activism of the EXJWs by demonstrating the falseness of this cult.

Beautiful..you are so calm and reasonable..thank you for your demeanor and your heartfelt comments..I agree 100 percent with what u say.. my husband and I converted to JW after we were married..we started studying during our engagement. We were in for over 20 years.. we pioneered for many years and my husband became an elder.. Extremely difficult to leave..it takes tremendous courage and strength to do so..it was extremely traumatic in so many ways! Ww have been out for 7 yrs..have done much healing but still have a ways to go..do you ever totally get over your identity bring stripped from you, your mind usurped??
When you mentioned the fact of how you cannot openly talk and discuss I just connected immediately bc that is exactly how they work..and it is the epitome of arrogance and the extreme opposite of humility ( which they flaunt that they have!!) And they talk about how Jehovah’s people as individuals should not be presumptuous.. but the organization sure has no qualms of being presumptuous..just look at their history of teachings and their present teachings and you will see the epitome of presumptuousness.. look forward to your next video..thanks for all your time and effort to help others..can't wait to hear your story..if you desire to share it....peace, love, joy and freedom to all

I can see that argument, but the unfortunate situation with that is that you still have people with a false faith, who may fall victim to another cult. I am also a born-in 3rd generation, and left after 35 years! I am a humanist now. I've learned that the more you research the more you realize that the Bible, Christianity and God are just tales made up by man. Perhaps one day you will also come to this realization. Keep on studying.

I’m afraid to say that my sister has been stuck in for over 50 years now. I’m a non JW. This cult has ruined our family. It can never be repaired. Sometimes, it’s just too late for some.
My biological deeply indoctrinated jw older sister told me, "My sisters in the truth are my sisters," I could careless bc we were never close growing up. The Real Truth is, she has no one if she doesn't obey the gb, her "sisters" will drop her like a hot potato & label her too!

I went in when I was 48 in 2006 after my marriage & life was falling apart and became inactive about 2015 after too many doubts crept in. One specific component of falling away was the inability of anyone in the truth or any other brand of Christianity to satisfactorily explain how a book inspired by god can be filled with so much ambiguity that it has essentially launched about forty thousand variants of Christianity with many of them disagreeing dynamically on critical aspects of it. JW’s seemed plausible for awhile with their claim to be uniquely different than other brands but upon further analysis it’s the same claim of several other brands just with different doctrinal teachings. Then there’s the slew of what I would call Christian Lite brands that put only cursory emphasis on the Bible and many of them merely amount to social groups.
I have no trouble with people having faith. I think it’s a good and even essential aspect for many peoples lives. I do believe, however that it should be tested to one’s satisfaction if doubts creep in.

Hi Aaron, this is my first time commenting on ex-JW content. Our lives sound very similar on the surface. I started learning TTATT about April 2019, never went back to a KH when they went back and faded completely at this point. I am married with 3 daughters as well. I feel I am being cowardly, when in my professional life and family life I am a leader, yet knowing what I know, I don't take a stand for truth the way I should like you did with your disassociation letter. I am working toward that decision and toward more accountability and ownership of my choices and where I want my family to be in 5 to 10 years from this point. I applaud your courage and stance as both a man and a seeker of truth, regardless of where it may lead, even at significant personal cost. I am reminded of a Winston Churchill "You have enemies? Good. That means you've stood up for something, sometime in your life." I feel a common theme running through your video, Plato puts it nicely, "You should not honor men more than truth." I am very much looking forward to more content from you. I also consider myself a Christian and was able to early on in my research to separate out religion or Watchtower from a personal relationship with God and his son. You will also be my first sub to an ex-JW channel, though I have consumed the same content you have up to this point. Though I am not living my true self completely yet, I feel empowered by your testimony. Thank you for taking the time to make this and to encourage others, especially men to stand in their manhood and lead, this time period of great awakening is quite the time to be alive, but there is much responsibility on all of our plates, we live in a world of weak men, the last quote I have is from Michael Hopf's novel Those Who Remain "Hard times create strong men, strong men create good times, good times create weak men, and weak men create hard times." We are at hard times, but now is the time for us to band together to create strong men.

If you are called MADE AND CREATED AND GIVEN LIFE, and NEVER CALLED in the BIBLE as Creator or Maker , then you are A CREATION. ALL FROM THE BIBLE
From the Lord was this (this is referring to the chief cornerstone who is Jesus) , the word WAS is egeneto (made or came into being) - Matthew 21:42 and the exact Greek word used in John 1:3 - MADE, egeneto (came into being) - JESUS WAS MADE/CAME INTO BEING FROM THE FATHER , yes, Jesus was MADE/CREATED!, See also Acts 2:36, Heb 1:5, 1 john 5
Isa 9:6 the word Prince in the Prince of Peace means PATRON ANGEL also Leader. WHO IS the ONE LEADER that we have? Jesus. Now, that same exact Hebrew word was used for Daniel 12:1 which is used for Michael the Archangel. So are you saying there are MANY LEADERS now?

The Greek used in the BIble does not have an indefinite article "a" so that's why you don't see the "a" in John 1:1, The Sahidic Coptic translation uses an indefinite article with the word “god” in the final part of John 1:1. again, john 1:1 about theos - Strong's Concordance theos: God, a god , so "a god" is a valid translation. What does Firsborn means?
So depending on the context the firstborn can be the chief, principal, or first in time or place or rank. Still though, when you use the firstborn with an OF, “firstborn OF”, because of the OF , that means the firstborn BELONGS TO THE GROUP, just like when you say firstborn of the sheep. The firstborn is a sheep. So Jesus belongs to the group of creation, firstborn of all creation.
Jehovah is called GOD of gods, who are these gods? if you say that those are all false gods, then you are saying that GOD is like Satan as he is God of all false gods. Those gods exist, just like King of kings, those kings exist.
Eric, some beautiful quotes there and I appreciate you sharing what's happening in your life. It sounds to me like you're both brave and decided in what you want, but it's just a matter to timing. I was born and raised a Jw. I faded out in my early 20s and am 42 now. My brother was dfd 25 years ago. It broke up our family and was extremely painful. Needless to say, it left a bad taste for me.
Fast forward to now and just by chance, I met a girl who had recently been divorced from an abusive spouse. She is an active JW. My parents and her entire family are still active JWs. To make everyone happy, I went to a couple meetings, watched a few broadcasts and my mind was blown how different things were. They beg for money, use fear porn and are not who they claim to be. To make matters worse, we are forbidden to date according to them, because she isn’t “scripturally free” to remarry. She doesn’t have “two witnesses” that he was also cheating on her, he knows the game and won’t admit anything even though he was sneaking out and going to bars, being dropped off by random women and all the rest.
She’s at a point now where she wants to just say screw it. If she does, she will lose all of her family and I’ll lose mine. Even if we get legally remarried, we’d both be DFd and cut off from all she knows because abuse isn’t a reason to leave your spouse. Keep in mind she is legally divorced and so am I and there should be no reason we can’t be together (allowed to be).
I am disgusted by this group, its rules and its scare tactics to scare people into staying. Thanks for posting this video, it’s helped me a lot.

Former Elder for over 10 yrs who DA’d recently as an active Elder. Many assignments handled both at the local & circuit/regional level, & despite finding out the truth about “The Truth”, enjoyed my time while under that false pretense.
I think the biggest fear is not to question the organization, but the consequences that come along w/ it, especially when u have active family & friends who’ll turn on u based upon indoctrination.
Many who become PIMOs stay in such a state so they r not ostracized from loved ones. That was my biggest fear, even though I had yrs worth of research disproving many doctrines from the scriptures, alone…and verifying via simple math & of course that pesky secular history, that there’s nothing significant or relevant about 607 BCE. Eventually it became God/Bible or fear of man (including family). I chose the former.
That’s the fear most have, imho, & that fear causes ones to remain quiet, stay as Sheeple, or fade w/o anything formally acknowledged.
We need more level headed and serious activists like you. This is your channel and do what you feel is right. One tiny plea (take it or leave it)... Be open to and convey the idea that your current beliefs can be challenged, even to the point of the Bible not being God's word. I think your channel will be more helpful and powerful the more you express the idea of "nothing is off limits from being challenged". It's Great to express your beliefs and faith but acknowledge that it can be challenged too. Thanks so much for this!

@@letdownyourfear6793 There's definitely some things to take your time to figure out with them. Certainly don't want to jump into anything else and get stuck. I waiting a long time, but I started talking to Eric on the phone a bit. Hes a good guy, and he'll talk to you for awhile, answer all your questions. A few things to keep in mind. They do use women quite alot at the meetings, which I find to be a refreshing change. They have a whole series of videos explaining their scriptural reasoning for it, and they also take the emblems (as you may know) I found their video on the great crowd fascinating. Idk what part of the US you're in (if you are at all) but if you're ever in South Florida I'm always happy to get together with those who can see the truth about our former religion

Funny story, I watched Eric's entire video series on women in the congregation, and it totally changed the way I viewed my wife.
It was so powerful to me, that a few weeks later, I bought my wife some jewelry and proposed to her, down on one knee, the whole thing. It was very emotional for us both. I never formally proposed to her, we got married young, inside the .org and I didn't do things the right way. It was always a sore spot for her, which I get. But after watching it, I was just blown away.
I can really see that. By the time I woke up I was divorced over 3 years. I wouldn't go back, as the relationship was very abusive to me.. but I look back on it now and I see how the organization pushed us together, and complicated our married endlessly, and stressed us both out.
It's amazing how much less pressure I feel in life now that I am well and truly out, and I know its not the truth. Cause.. you kinda hang out there for awhile while your researching.. like... maybe.. but when it really settles in that this ain't it.. and like JT says: "we dedicated our lives to a book publishing company", it's very freeing.
I never really appreciated the scripture "you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free" because, of course, I never felt free. But now that I have it, that scripture means so much more to me

I left in the late 80’s just, faded as I was never baptized,. I pretty much grew up as a Witness since I was a child when my mom began to study. Most everyone assumed I was baptized so I experienced shunning to some degree not nearly as others have. Your message is an encouragement to me “I’m responsible for what I do with the information I have” that is a lifelong burden I carry desiring that my family “wake up”! How God may use me! I came to Christ and I freaked out and I told my whole family and lost everyone I wish I had done it different but I'm the type I get super excited and concerned and I'm a protector and I wanted to protect my family from the Watchtower and I ended up pushing them away because I didn't have enough discernment at the moment to take my time with it❤

How they diminish Christ, to elevate themselves is so obvious once you are awake to it. Once I realized that there aren't "two classes" of Christians and they everything Christ says in the NT is for me personally, it made leaving the .org seem like a simple choice. Nothing compares to serving the King.

Good video my friend I never got baptised but I took the deep dive about 8 years ago and started with old publications. I presented my facts to my study who is an elder to this day we were close friends also. I said if 1000 years to us is 1 day to God is it God changing or is it man changing? He had no words or answers and just left. He stopped by again months later and made an attempt to forget about what our last conversation was about. I said I want to pick up where we last left off. He again was attempting to leave I said would the Boreans leave? He asked me what should be done with the old publications. I said if its the truth they should be burned and we should be given an apology. He again left never to be seen again.

Perfect timing. I'm studying the Bible with a JW sister and met some people in the congregation. It's been 3 months and I never thought they would try to push my own truth into their liking. I leave that credit to God himself. I told the people I just wanted to study the Bible. Now they are planting seeds of baptism. My life has already been led by spirits and God since I was born. So, I think I'm already golden here. Lol. 😉 I just wanted Bible studies and real people who "actually" love God. Is that a tall order or what in this day in age? 😅 So yes, I started feeling the creepy projections the JW sister and community were hiding from the beginning. They have motives. I already have a set belief. My religion is kindness. Many blessings for speaking up. New subscriber. Thank you love. 💛
Run away as fast as you can! I began my channel this year. I met a lady in a similar position. They were studying the last chapter of the baptism book with her but she had the creepy feeling. As soon as she saw my channel, she stopped the Bible study. You're right, a Bible study shouldn't be a tall order, but JW doctrines make it about their doctrines 🤗
@Miss Jae. JWs don't do Bible studies. They do BOOK studies (their literature). They don't teach you about the elements of hermeneutics and exegesis. Their beliefs stem from deductive reasoning (which leads to reading meaning INTO texts), NOT inductive reasoning (which leads to LEADING the meaning OUT OF the text) .When they do ask questions about the biblical text, they inject their belief system into the Bible, rather than let the Bible interpret itself. The account of the "faithful and discreet slave" is a case in point. Jesus asked the question "Who, then is the faithful and discreet slave?" He didn't say who the slave (not it) was. He was asking His disciples to point out the slave from the context of the parable He had just given them. I agree with Dr. Chioma. "Run away as fast as you can!"

Erin, you hit the proverbial nail on the head. My 1st step or crack was making the distinction between God & the organization/society (for those of us a few years older). 👍🏽❤️👍🏾❤️
Exactly. I think we're taught they're synonyms, but the organization doesn't have the market cornered on God, nor do I think He can be cornered.
When I was a very new Christian, maybe a few months, I made a friend who was a JW. At the time, I assumed they were just another Christian denomination. But over time certain red flags started to go off. I felt various theological differences were not too important, since all denominations have minor disagreements. But after time I realized how massive those differences really are.
I never considered myself a JW, but I had a friend with them and we hung out a lot and went to services together. One funny story is when I first went to a Kingdom Hall someone asked me how I came to "the truth." I thought he was asking, "How did you become a believer in Jesus Christ?" I began explaining my testimony of how I went from an agnostic to knowing Jesus is the Messiah. He began looking confused as I was giving my testimony and I was confused as to why he was confused. Looking back, of course now I know that he was asking me why I believed in the Watchtower, not Christ. "Well, that's... cool..." he said and walked away.
The final nail in the coffin for me was when I was at a Bible "study." I quoted CS Lewis and there was an audible gasp. An old lady whispered to me, "We don't discuss CS Lewis here."
"Um... why not? He's considered one of the best theologians and Christian authors of the 20th century."
"He wasn't a Jehovah's Witness!"
"... and?"
They shrugged and we moved on. After the study I was talking to the director and mentioned that in my research about the Mormons I learned that they believe that Lucifer and Jesus were "spirit brothers."
"Yeah! Yeah, they were!" He said very angrily and walked away, nose held high. I couldn't believe it. His attitude was pompous and volatile and he treated me with disdain for even daring to seek truth and ask. That's when I realized what a cult the organization really is. As I began to do more research into their history I was even more convinced. In all, I only spent maybe two months with the JW's and never considered myself one. Anyway, that's my story. Thanks for sharing yours. :)

(Edit) I used to be a catholic and looking through Jehovah witnesses teachings and seeing how similar they were to my own religions I became an atheist. I always think question everything and why you think things are real or right and analyze if you still hold those beliefs constantly.
Great to see you were able to reason yourself out of your former religion, I’d encourage you not to get too settled into your new position though. Keep asking questions! Always pursue truth. I recently had a similar experience to you just leaving just regular Christianity. Don’t be afraid to question the foundation instead of just the surface level disagreements.
