Over the last ten years, the evidence that we face urgent challenges to protect the environment has become indisputable, and it’s clear that the time to act is now. Drawing inspiration from the concept of moonshots, which since the moon landing in 1969 has become shorthand to talk about the most ambitious and ground-breaking goals, Prince William announced The Earthshot Prize: an ambitious set of challenges to inspire a decade of action to repair the planet.
We believe in the power of human ingenuity to prove to us all that the seemingly impossible is possible.

I've always known the Prince of Wales title is not for one person and have known William would be created our next Prince of Wales and the rest of the titles for the heir apparent would automatically would go to him when his father became King

Even with the stresses of the last 10 days, His Highness was calm, composed and very, very regal. A good solid speech, persuasively delivered. Brilliantly done!
I think Prince William’s thoughts with his Earth Shot initiative is much like Neil Armstrong when he said “one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind” and look at what has been accomplished since his famous words. The prizes handed out last year were small steps for the environment but collective small steps pushing toward a goal can get there faster than one runner with no support. If we try to run to fast we will get tired and stop before we reach our goal. It’s ok to give water to the slow runners because they know in time they will reach the finish line as will the ones that walk.
I guess what I’m saying is don’t criticize the ones that support the slow runners and walkers but what we as earth citizens should see is if we all make the changes we can even if it is small they will add up to big changes when we reach the finish line.
So thank you Prince William and all those that support the Earth Shot Initiative because every group needs a coach and support team as guides and you all are ours 🌎🌏🌍
