Had my first gen for over a decade now, had 5 over the past couple of decades. Here in the UK they're just called 323 4x4 turbos. Im sure my current one will be my last, as last time checking, there are 6 on the road and mines the only 1989 model. Certainly a unicarn. Lucky that i know the cars inside out, have quite a load of spares, and have good mechanical and welding skills to hopefully keep it alive for as long as a can. And all these years ive been around these cars, i have not once seen a GTR in the flesh.
Love everything from the ms01f rims to the A spec lantis seen in the background. Awesome well rounded review and history of the car. There are some of us fully invested into these older rarer mazdas. Good to see.
This was my first car, i regretted so much to sold this car. Awesome vibes and nostalgia. I want to buy one again but here in portugal, i can't find one. Mine was not the gtr but was a 1.8 dohc with 140hp i think
My first new car as a teenager was a GTX back in the 90s and it was a lot nicer on the inside. That is not a GTR conversion. The GTR is a 2.0 Litre engine. The GTX is a 1.8. I owned it for about 3 weeks and my friend wrote it off. We both didnt have seat belts on and went airborne 3 times and then hit a tree at 160km/hr. We all survived. Thats how safe that car is. Had no airbags but the dash and glovebox were so soft it cushioned the impact for our bodies and heads lol. My knees went straight through the glovebox. A b16a ripped it in two on the highway at topend speed lol.
A quick google confirms the GTR did infact have a 1.8L engine. I owned a genuine GTR for a few years also. My best mate had the gtx. Surprisingly alot of differences. A lot of those differences can be changed but I'm guessing the 4 stud pattern on the gtx compared to the 5 stud pattern on the GTR would be one of the more difficult differences to change.
@@valherustinger7848 when I say Google I mean every website that has anything to do with the GTR, and there's plenty. I have no idea what car you think you were looking at but if you reckon the GTR you were looking at had a factory 2.0L motor then it must be 1 of 1, but unfortunately they don't exist. If you can find any info regarding a factory fit 2.0L other than the one you once seen in a car yard then I'd love to be challenged. Also, I'd like to add that they only made the GTR in 1992 and 1993 with 2500 builds total. If you reckon the one you seen was in the late 90s then I doubt very much it was a genuine GTR.
The 1st gen GTX was 1.6 turbo, the engine was the B6T. The BPT was in the 2nd gen GTX, GTR and limited edition GTAe

Definitely going to get myself one of these some day, it's a shame it didn't see more popularity.
Loved watching this, and that music..! Thanks.
学生の頃の憧れの車でした!
もう日本では見ることの無い車なので
海外で大事に乗られている映像が見られて嬉しいです!
It's actually my dream car.
Kilometers per LITTER, love that! Didn't know this gen hatch was sold locally
only 6 were brought in by Columbian Motors back in the day. Out of the 6, only 3 are running. The rest are junked.
Really well put together video 📹 👏 👌
Thank you for the kind comment! Cheers!
I'm getting regular car review vibes, I didn't know this car existed until today
You should watch the Toyota Avanza episode LOL

why is this so entertaining lmao so much fun
I also have a fake gtr. I use miata engine components. I love the color
Keep building it bro! It's an awesome platform for a project car.
Good thing about the engine, that it basically shares the same block as the MX5/Miata, so engine spares are quite plentiful.
Full size what? lol
Finally someone with new content, thanks bro
hehehehe finally, somebody who appreciates borderline-bad humor HAHAHA
@@crustph there's not many of us left mate😂

Donde. Puedo. Conseguir. El sistema de 4wd para. Un. Mazda 323
love the MS01
Man these cars are so hard to find now
You cant find them at all! They're all in the hands of collectors and Mazda enthusiasts.
Great video !
Glad you enjoyed it!
Does the rear spoiler have a real purpose or is it just for styling?
For cars like these, definitely has purpose
Kept the rear window clear of dust etc .they sacrifice d its rear wiper.
this is the last of the GTX with the factory sports pack
Seems very slow for being a bpd swap, its not awd and it can't spin tire in 1st?
wow meron pala neto sa pinas kainggit! 🥵🥵
“$18,000 pesas for headlight”
Me who just purchased a 323 - “wtf is a pesa” 😂😂😂
08:10 you actually missed one :'( broke my heart
What intercooler is this? Where is it from?
That i am not sure. It is paired with bigger pipings too!
What size?
I use to own a 1992 mazda 323 GTAe same shape as the GTR till i got rid of it. wished i didnt know.

@@smatt9993 google is wrong. I was at the car dealership looking at a GTR and it was a 2.0 litre. I had the 1.8. It was a GTX in the late 90s.

What about parts expense and availability. Is it a car best left to richer people to own and the Poors to admire?!
Nice pres.kristian
What about red?
okay yeah that would be awesome too LOL
Its BPD engine...Not BDP
