Country living all the way! Most young people have no idea how to live this way and be self-sufficient. It's hard work. It has been a long time since I have seen lard cooked off. I remember wash pots over a fire doing this very thing. We always had fried pork brains and eggs for breakfast the next day and loin for lunch. Great memories. No regrets. Blessings to you.

I live in a small community in a forested mountain area, have a small garden, cook & bake all my own food, ferment and preserve foods, do fiber arts like crochet and sewing, candle making, make health products, and love doing woodworking projects, but I am not quite a homesteader yet. You have to secure the corn better, otherwise you will get problems with mice and rats propably. I would store it in some of these big milk jars, the ones you used for the pork fat. Awesome that you drop so much good quality videos in a short time! Nice to see that everything is moving forward. 😊

I honestly don't mean to be to critical in this comment. But I have a very real concern for you health and safety, aswell as for your friends health and saftey. I am concerned that the meat that was put into jars may become very poisnous because the canning process was done incorrectly. There are many people on UA-cam that teach correct canning methods. Or you can buy a book on correct canning methods. Greese can and will spoil over time. So that is not the right thing to use. Also the jars should be pressure canned for a correct amount of time. The meat should be cooked inside the jars, with the correct amount of head space and water with your seaonings. As these jars were not pressure caned the meat inside will spoil very quickly, making it poisonous. Please take care to learn the corect methods for canning food, before eating any of the meat inside those jars, as this can be a fatal mistake, and very life threating. Please use extreme caution. Be safe always.
Babyboy needs to live more comfortably. He's not as fat as you. Also, dont ask for more animals without the ability to provide for them. Them rabbits not thriving. And the hens really need a perch and nest inside to make chicks. You really need to step up. Those goats needs care.
