I love this Whitesnake. It´s incredible what MTV and an americanized tarted up group of musicians turned WS into. After all DC here was really wild , powerful and with big hair but unfortunately massively ignored. He should sing more songs from the early years of the band for everyone, especially for those who don´t know about the older WS. Personally I got acquainted with these songs a short time ago and I love them... They are great, indeed!
I totally agree. I classify WS into two periods: the English phase and the Americanphase. The real WS for me is until Slide It In Album (English phase)... then Coverdale decided to be "American" and WS turned out more commercial.
I was at that show and it was incredible!! If I could go back time, I would go to exaktly this awesome bluesy ass-kicking concert! 🤩🤩🤩 It was great!!! 🤩🤩🤩 🤘🤘🤘
Just when hardheavymetalrock´n´nroll was straight from the heart from the audience. No fuckin´mobiles,no fuckin´i-pods no bullshit, just bands in front of the people singing, clapin´,screamin´,and jumpin´from thhe bottom of their souls.Today a HardrockHeavyMetal concert is a bounch of nails filming like nails nailed on the floor. What about your souls people?.Let´s move your harts and Shake iIt Offffffff!!!!
The snake rulezz. Anywhere. Anytime. As long as David sings... There's really no rocksinger who can beat him. He's now 62 years old/young and he's still singing like the best. I love him.
Bloodforgodz - so with you. There are dinosaurs of rock and David isn't one of them because he's moved on - I admit I didn't like it at the time, but now I'm 40 (today - aaah!) I'm coming back to rock and, hey, David, you're not too old for me now, heh heh! You've got to keep evolving or fossilise....
@workstrength he did come and get it and saints and sinners as well.. after that whitesnake took a long break whilst coverdale was caring for his sick daughter.. paice/murray went on to work with gary moore, and when it was time to go back to whitesnake, david had invited cozy powell.. david didnt think paice played so well on saints and sinners, which jon lord agreed with actually.
for those who think that coverdale sold out.....i think that you´re almost right , beacuse if think about it the only only sold out on a image matter....because the music was way better than what warrant , skid row or warrat were doing.....and if you think about it 1987 is among the top 3 80´s albums......they only had 2 glam records 1987 and slip of the tongue and those were the best on the genre.....and besides coverdale doesn´t gives a shit about what you think
you can't compare David Coverdale to Jon Bonjovi!!!! If you listen to Bonjovi now it's so excruciatingly dated compared to Whitesnake which will be eternally cool....
Imagine that: A singer names his band after his prick, mimes the hard rock artist but sings cheesy blues rock ballads and gets lots of female attention for his great looks up to old age. Is there any resemblance to existing artists? Tell me!
David Coverdale was more or less forced to go to America and change the music because he was up to his neck in debt. If you don't like that then baby you can kiss his ASS!
bullshit he had loads of royalties from purple(same manager john coletta) coletta wanted to reform purple cos of mega money offers davy had his own ideas and offer from w.e.a.
Ever tried reading a book? I recently read one called Sail Away - Whitesnake's Fantastic Voyage. By Martin Popoff. It describes in detail how Whitesnake/David Coverdale were almost broke and needed to go to America and more or less sell out in order to earn some money.
Have looked at the book, cheers, not seen it before. But I was guitar roadie to bernie, micky and neil 80 and81 and lved in at ridge farm clearwell castle and tittenhurst park during the recording and writing, and I can tell you that john and yoko only had there names on bell push's either side of the bed and I think davy carved john loves yoko on a bench by the lake then rushed up to the house and told us he'd discovered it Also I am part of the crowd cheering on this very track black n blue.fantastic days. The purple part of whitsnake was never hard up.
Ere´s a song for yaaaaa... ...Lock up your daughter, your sister too... eso es Rock actitud!!!! Ese Coverdale pre-87 fue, es y sera unico e irrepetible!!!!!!!!!
Fucking great song!
The Master on Keyboards:Jon Lord.
I'm a huge Whitesnake and Deep Purple fan.

This is quality, wish Coverdale would ditch his fixation on 1987 time, this is the real Snake
He doesn’t have the rights to this stuff to remaster it - only from slide it in onwards unfortunately
@@DannyGibsondgpix These UK albums were all remastered about 15 years ago noob.
@@thefonzkiss not by coverdale though, learn your bands history! Noob ☺️
I like the bluesy Whitesnake way better than the pop metal Whitesnake.
absolutely!!!
First 5 album, then I love Whitesnake no more
I totally agree. I classify WS into two periods: the English phase and the Americanphase. The real WS for me is until Slide It In Album (English phase)... then Coverdale decided to be "American" and WS turned out more commercial.

some years ago i saw M3,Moody,Marsden and Murray playing only that old stuff. Absolutely fantastic

Love It !!! Peace, Love, Light to you all !
Glenn Hughes still sounds fantastic, too. I hope the two of them do something together again.
Absolutely right sjmaatta. This song is one of my favourite. just pure boogie rock. It really started to suck after saints and sinners.
Love it___
luv this xxx
Any Band with Jon Lord in it was a good band.
@leppardsnake Thank you leppardsnake!!!
David Coverdale debería volver a sacar un disco blues/rock.......
Esa era la esencia de la Serpiente Blanca
Underbar känner för att gå till en go gammal pub ju
Whitesnake 1978 - 84. The best in blues-based hard rock. Then they went hair metal and lost their soul. A pity and then some.
Rock and roll
I think that the solo is from Bloody Luxury!
Milan Petkovic yup it is!
this song is slower in the orignal studio version, but even this fast, he sings the lyrics understandable
Cozy💜💜 Lord
agree with you 100 %!
"Are you ready? Are YOU ready?? Are you ready???"
Yeah!!!
Mickey moody
The other guitarist is Mel Galley. Micky Moody is the guy in the country western clothes.
like it!!
W W and S..Always!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Life On !!!
c'mon DC unlock the vaults- bringing back memories B'ham Odeon '82. lfj
great stuff. before he turned into bon jovi always my fav Purp singer

I met Coverdale back in the early 80s, when we both had long bushy head banging hair.
Oh how things change.
fishy paw that's life
This is true!
Wine, Women and Song aka Booze, Boobs and Blues... hehe :P
does anyone know why Ian Paice didn't do more stuff with Whitesake after Ready 'n' Willing and the live LP?

The Snake Rulezz
putain lord+coverdale, c'est génial!!
quel songwriter!!! ecoutez aussi glenn hugues, THE VOICE et fuck les connards!!
...maybe better showman...but absolutely not at the same artistic level...in my opinion! I've seen both live, and believe me, there's no competition!!
Bon Jovoid modelled his look on coverdale..
@jimthejanny
I think he feels he went a b it too far, you are being a bit hard on him
ANYONE that calls them a hair band doesn't know music .
Richard Herzog Anyone who doesn’t know that there were two very distinct versions of this band musically, doesn’t know Whitesnake
😂😂😂🤘
He never sold out! He was just trying to keep up! And I think he did Fuckin well!!!

Jesus Christ my path who take me to God, no alcohol, no drugs, and no prostitution.... just song and nothing else.
Great song…. Played way too fast!
