To get the textured finish out of the spray bomb you back away when spraying about 6-12 more inches on your 2nd coat. Then drop back to the normal distance and spray one last top coat. Honestly on atv racks I find the smoother texture better.

curious, wanna know how that black spray paint is holding up on your frame, is there any chipping or anything ??? thinking about doing the same to my 400ex bc I don’t have an oven to powder coat

It has been very robust. No chips or scratches even and still holding up near hot exhaust. Highly recommend using that method to paint your frame.
