    QUESTION: Is there any guidelines to follow or things to watch out for when it comes to hydrodipping items that are used with or around food? i.e. common material/chemical alternatives, special sanitary processes like putting a sealing coat of something, etc?

    How did you prepare the fenders being plastic did you use a adhesion promoter or anything like that.

      I bet he heat treated and then used a primer/base.

      We sandblast these and then use adhesion promoter prior to primer.

    For a base color, can you use normal spray paint (and primer/varnish)? Or only special paint for hydrographics? And if you need special spray paint, why is that?

    Hello--you nearly have convinced me. I own a 2005 Polaris Sportsman 700 EFI in Mossy Oak Camo that I've had since new for 18 years now with extremely low mileage. Despite keeping it indoors for the majority of its life, it has faded to a somewhat "Purple" color. If you haven't heard of the mid-to-late 2000 Polaris ATVs/UTVs turning purple then I probably should not be contacting you, as this is very prevalent for these models--most likely due to lack of or defective UV inhibitors during the manufacturing process. Regardless, I need to contact you with details about getting my Mossy Oak Break-up Camo restored to new condition via hydrographics. Please let me know if you can assist. Thank you--David

      David with this process you are using automotive primer, paint, and clear coat. It is basically have the same durability as your cars finish but it can scratch.

  • @dbriggs1689
    @dbriggs1689 Рік тому +1

    How would you say this compares to wrapping in terms of cost and durability?

    • @LiquidConceptsUSA
      @LiquidConceptsUSA  Рік тому +1

      Wrapping is not permanant and will peel and lift in more recessed areas. The hydrodip uses automotive primer, paint, and clear to give you the same protection/durability as what is on your vehicle; however it can still scratch etc depending on how it is used. Pricing wise depending on the shop, location, etc you could be close to the same price or a little more for the hydrodipping just depending on the size and complexity of the plastics you are wanting done.

      @dbriggs1689 Рік тому

      @@LiquidConceptsUSA I wasn't aware it was actual automotive quality paint and was that durable. I was under the impression it was kinda like a plastidip or wrap or something that wasn't very durable at all. Thanks for the information
