To be fair its not better then coffee or sawdust logs, but tbh i can get, multiple bin bags of shredded paper at work each week for free, if you make that all into logs then that's crazy, think off all the free heat. Its more messyer I think in terms of ash but thats good if you can ask your work for shredded paper.
That's exactly it. It compresses a lot so less than ideal and more ash (easy enough to deal with), but this is possibly more accessible, and another niche for people to consider.
You can use any paper, newspaper works well just need to soak it longer so it pulps well strain it then resoak to get rid ok ink
Need compacted 40 to 60 percent more will burn better or longer design a small center hole
I have seen a press using a bottle jack showing something similar.
You should wash it a couple of times so the ink bleeds out so there not a toxic when you burn them
How would you wash it? (For heavy print?) And what if the toxins weren't water soluble? 🤔 or are most water soluble?
you have to wash them to get the toxic out of air directly into the ground and into the water. Very clever, don't you think?@@RobTheFrugalist
@pelulici nope completely confused 😀
You are burning paper with ink though, is it safe to burn?
Whilst content counts. Its generally fine to burn. I avoid glossy or photographs, (they wont pulp well anyway)
good, but lots of ash
More frequent emptyings of the fire perhaps.
