    GREAT video. I'm the deadlifter who opens up early (and never knew it) and couldn't figure out how people much less stronger than I had a better powerclean and mine was relatively crap! :(

    This video is great. I loved the tip about straight elbows. I recorded my hip cleans and just realized I have been bending my elbows a ton at the bottom of the dip. I'll have to try jumping with straight arms too. I've been focusing on the jump and shrug but it makes sense how that can complicate things and cause elbow bend.

    Does that mean the scoop should happen naturally when there's enough weight on the bar?
