This is so awesome. 🎉 I am, like, literally a kid. I would play the harmonica when I were younger. With the ravage of time (combined with studies), the habit faded away. Now, I actually stumbled upon this video and have decided to play it again.

Yeah, tongue block. To get wider splits, you gotta push the harmonica further into your mouth. That's the secret.

I just bought a harmonica, you know just out of curiosity, i have one question, can it play any song in this world, and is it easy to search for the harmonica "song notes"for any song, you know the one you look for when you want to play a song
As far as I know you can just play songs which are in the tune of your harmonica for example if your harmonica is in Cmaj (just engraved as C) the song also has to be written in Cmaj. There are harmonicas in every tune available because you can't tune the harmonica or put a capo on it like you do with guitars. The reply is a little bit late but I hope it helps.
To add to Phillips answer, different harmonica positions will have you play in different keys than the key your harp is labeled. “1st position”is the key you buy the harp in, second position is usually 5 notes away in the musical alphabet (a-g). So second position on a C harp you would be playing in the key of G. There are some exceptions like Key of B/Bb harps but those are what I was taught to get started!

Can someone verify that the -48 and -59 -58 mean what I think it might mean?
Hey Brandon - those are splits. So for -48 you're doing what's called a Split-5. You're mouth is covering holes 4 through 8, but your tongue is blocking holes 5,6, and 7. Does that make sense?
