Day 110 & 111 we BIG days in many ways. First, Lelo (Mom) got slack-packed by our Trail Angel, Andrea, and we hiked almost 25 miles. The next day we hiked another 23 miles, so almost 50 miles in two days. We also summited a couple of mountains, AND surpassed 1,400 miles hiked on the A.T.! And last but not least, we finally got to call our family and wish my brother Garrit a very happy birthday! Gotta make time for family!
Follow along with us as we southbound thru-hike all 2,194 miles of the Appalachian Trail from Maine to Georgia to raise money for Parkinson's Disease Research!!
Congrats on 1400 miles! Whoo hoo! Great job ladies!
Thank you Sandra!!!
Great job ladies🥾🥾💙
Bless you and the trail angels 😇
Thanks for the continued support, Shirley!!! And yes, we couldn’t do it without our incredible trail angels🥰
Great going girls!! WOW 1400 miles. So very cool!! 😊 you two are really trucking along now! I’m so proud of you and have my fingers crossed that you’ll be home for Christmas! 🤞🙏❤️😊🎈
Thank you thank you Sue!!!! We REALLY hope so. It’s gonna be close!
I've been able to watch your videos as they came out and continue to send prayers for a safe journey your way. Now time to catch up with my comments to you :)
Ladies you continue to do great miles despite anything the trail has thrown your way, so inspirational :)
It is lovely that the leaves have dropped their leaves and you can see some of that amazing scenery, on the other hand it can make for slippery trails with a bit of rain. Beautiful lunch spot.
Hope the daylight saving change did not disturb your hiking too much. We don't have that up here where I live, Day Light savings is not designed for tropical regions and any polls we have had reflected the feeling. We like to get things done in the cool of the mornings before the heat of the day really kicks in, who wants to be cooking in the kitchen in the latter heat.
Happy Birthday Garritt, hope you had a fantastic day.
Stay safe ladies :)
Thank you for your comments and words of encouragement! Daylight savings has just kinda shifted everything earlier…waking up earlier and ending the day earlier. And definitely more headlamp hiking! Having the leaves on the trail instead of the trees does make for a more slippery trail and sometimes it can even be tough to follow!
Congratulations on 1400!!!
I couldn't tell you the last time I got ten hours of sleep. But then I also don't think I have ever walked over 20 miles in a day. 😴😴😴
Happy birthday to your brother!! 🥳
🧡🧡
Ohhhh baby do we LOVE our sleep after big days!

@@appalachiantrailforparkins1185 Sorry not quite finished I'm on the 2 year plan, I hear your mom is having her 66th birthday and alas I'm a bit older than that. I do so very much enjoy being out there though. 🤭
Wow 1400!! Great job ladies. My coworkers are always wondering what I'm watching and why I'm smiling like an idiot 😆. Thanks for another great video.
Hahahahh! Love it!! Thanks Andy!
Day light savings early bed times is the best haha 7 o clock snooze and early wake up! Glad to see your progress 🤘
Yessss to bed VERY early. But we love waking up early so it works out. But when we take zeros, we still wake up at 5:30am without an alarm haha
Y'all are killing me with the apple on Apple Orchard mtn ! Welcome to my backyard, sort of. From that peak if you look to the east about 34 miles you could see my house. Love the video's y'all are rocking the trail!
Hahaha it was a real Apple!!!

Bless your journey - don’t lose track of your footsteps🙏🏻
Will do, thank you Patricia!
1400 miles under the belt. 1400! Really well done. The terrain in VA is so much different from how it was up there in Maine. Stay strong.
YES it is so different! We can do WAY more miles because of it
