I wonder if they felt like they were watching something special or promissing at least. Idk, it is said that there's this feeling that comes to you when you are witnessing something promissing, and I wonder if at least someone in that audience was feeling that
You know what’s crazy though… Kev has never changed as person, He’s grown as a human but has never changed who he is in terms of how humble and down to earth he is, Money never changed him, Spoke to him and Soph a few weeks ago and he seriously is just such a great person, So is Soph! They are a great couple ❤
Just saw them there aswell me and my band made a sign that said play Half Full Glass of Wine and they actually did it!!! For the first time in 6 years!!!
Este video es una maldita joya, nadie de los que estaban ahí podrían haberse imaginado que esa banda que estaban viendo, 11 años después iba a ser headliner de Coachella, Lollapalooza, etc.
Bro… this would’ve been wicked to go to. I wish they had psychedelic rock doofs in SA. Side note: that phone has some really good sound quality for its time 😂😂
To think those people in the audience had no idea they were watching what would become the biggest psych pop star of our generation.

Congratulations you got a video of one of the only TWO times they have ever played my lover mother nature live.
Lol likes it’s some coverted radiohead b side or something
I heard the intro chords and was like NO WAY
The two recorded times you mean, although I think there was a third.
Kevin and Dom were 22, Nick was 20 and Jay was only 17!
I wonder how Kevin met/became friends with Jay despite that age gap
@@tmccullough1251 5 years isnt that much, most of my friends growing up were older than me
@@tmccullough1251 they were all playing on the same bill / same gigs. Perth scene was small in 2005-2007, only a handful of venue.
Jesus fucking Christ !!!!!!!
lol 3:37 jay fixing the bass drum. all my drummers know this necessity
I hope you archive this and store it in multiple hard drives for it to never be lost.
the more times I watch this, the more I love it. "My Lover Mother Nature" is such an awesome song. I miss their early psychedelic stoner stuff!!
Literally started from the bottom. Tame impala was amazing at Panorama festival last year!
Just saw them in dc. I’m in awe of how far they’ve come. Love Kevin and all the band mates for their dedication. 🔥🔥🔥

i was there!
What a cool video - it's like you are there discovering the band. Future documentary material.
I think that the grey car at the 4:46 minute is old Kevin car. There are old videos and photos in where the car is full of instrument.
Wow!! an early gem of TM !!Fantastic!! It seems to me like Patagonian Festival in Argentina very familiar vibes there !!
Friend you are absolutely right I am from Patagonia and it seems the same festival.

I have tears in my eyes 😢
FANTASTIC! Great stuff! The Early Days ❤️💎
Cheers from Sao Paulo City SP Brazil
I cannot even begin to imagine this vibe
You have made my year I didn't think this was possible to hear this live, bless you. whenever i go to live shows now i never hear this
Wow, from this to headlining Glastonbury and Coachella.
And now they sell out shows. How far they've come
This is a rarity. Love it, thanks!
Man, this video is a blast from the past! Thank you so much for reminding me of this era of the band
He never give up and now he created one of the best song of all time (on my opinion) Nice job K!
Awesome bit of history!
THE BEGINNING OF THE LEGEND THAT IS MR KEVIN PARKER
AND JAY WATSON. 9 ALBUMS WITH POND, 5 SOLO ALBUMS UNDER "GUM". 14 MASTERPIECES
How cool. Man, they have just exploded.
"the best of the underground is to get out of the underground"
Una verdadera joya de video
This is the most Aussiest get together before they became Lords!

This video is Excellent!
Thanks for the vid, but you left the best band out there. Ha.
When Tame impala was a psychedelic band with GUITARS
It’s still that😂 goofy
@@Snnddkdkdken222 well you got a different sense of psychedelia then
@@Snnddkdkdken222 yeah Jay & Dom on synth for the entire gig... with Kevin playing the occasional guitar line..... not quite the same mate
My Lover Mother Nature
I was just another one...
I want to go back camping in festivals
psycho-grunge version of tame impala
El carro de Kevin en la parte de atras
Antes de explodirem haha foda

Little did the audience know...
CA_TRV right?! I would die to time travel and be able to speak to kevin behind stage!!

What is this song?!
mccormack09 sorry this took a while but “my lover Mother Nature”
1:28 Stevie T?? 😂😂😂
Wheres Nick albrook ?
he's there actually, Pond played that day too. but its before he joined Tame
This is why kevin should sing in his lower registers. He sounds so much better live Enough with falsettos.
+LilRedRasta what a burn
+Max Mitchell it's called constructive criticism. what are you, 15?
not true
well now he just covered "a girl like you" with lower registers and its so refreshing
This video is weird
