Sometimes it’s not about how strong an item is. Throwing a weird magic item into the hands of players can create just as if not more fondly remembered games than pure item strength.
The Bag of Beans is amazing. One of my party members threw one at a dragon which spawned a pyramid breaking both the floating mountain thing we were in, and the pyramid itself. This caused the mummy lord and dragon to fight each other while we ran away with the loot. The mummy lord won and nows there is some random mummy lord riding the dragon he killed and resurrected as a undead.
During our campaign of Storm King's Thunder, our party summoned not one, not two, but THREE pyramids with mummy lords inside from our magic beans. The first time was in a town and two of us almost were killed. The other 2 times completely dismantled what otherwise would've been interesting combat encounters.
My party got it for my elf. The dwarven belt I mean. He is like, very elf and an astral one. I really kinda expected when they were getting it to use it for the Wizard who is human. Nope. They insisted I have it. As for why? Mechanically I am the ranger and currently serving as something of a tank and the only one really flexible enough to tank so our healer doesn’t have to. Also since most of my spells are concentration it’s not a bad idea to increase my constitution. And probably the main reason, it’s the beard. The funny part here is that the other players’ characters had designed into their backstories that they were previously students of my character back in their youths. So the beard thing was so they could make shifu and teacher jokes. We eventually switched it out as I needed the use of other magic items and this does come with an attunement need so I couldn’t justify keeping it. The dm ruled that, as an elf, the item eventually had my beard fall away gracefully, though weird dm said I could keep advantage for rolling for poison. We then gave the belt to a dwarf npc that helped us who promised to lend it to us if we ever needed it again.
My party's druid has a bag of beans, it has led to some hilarious moments. The cleric despises this item because it's almost gotten us killed once and another time the Barbarian was in the bathroom for like an hour and spent the rest of the day feeling sick because he ate one of those eggs.
I don't know if anybody else has said this but if not you could use that Bloodstone or whatever it was for each member of your party so everybody knows if it's actually who they think it is or if it's a doppelganger pretending to be or somebody else that made be able to change former shape at least for the party members that don't have an ability to already tell these things
Im going to presume that the fishing road will also catch regular fish if you fish where there is fish normal and that does not stop the counter. meaning you can spend a hour fishing (how much food that can give) whit a chance of catching something interesting also.
I wonder if I could get a DM to agree to let a paraplegic or even quadriplegic character use a Weird Tank to provide replacement limbs? Because I really want to do that now
UA-camr Pointy Hat made a sorcerer lich that uses there bloodline as a phylactery. The blod stone would be a great item if your using them as a villain. If you find one of there heirs, then use it to track and kill/deal with the rest to end the lich forever.
Personally, I think what makes more sense for the ventilating lungs is that they’re more of a endoskeleton, but just for the lungs. Like a whole bunch of metal pipes and wires and pistons that wrap around your lungs and assist them.
Actually a better way to attune to the Mind Whip would be to cast Nystul’s magic Aura on the user, since that would trick the item into thinking the wielded actually was a mind flayer.
I was given a bag of beans. I was a druid, so I could make the beans grow instantly, provided I had some dirt. DM rolled the number of bean, got max. So, I was a druid with 12 beans of chaos. Planted one, and what did I get? A tree filled with fruit with various potion effects and one poison. A tree with *fruits* that had *seeds* that had various potion effects. First potion effect? Aspect of dragon. So we had seeds for fruits that could turn us into dragons, and I was a druid. Eventually ate and grew another tree. It was poison. The poison? Lycanthropic poison. So I became a were-raven druid, and my allies became a weretiger and boar. The campaign died shortly after but holy crap that was hilarious. The shenanigans were outstanding, just from the short time I had it.
Material component of the Gust of wind spell hints to the idea that it normally goes not from the lungs but from the... Other end. I don't have any conclusion out of it, it's just funny
Why would you use Wish to turn yourself into a Mind Flayer to use the Mind Lash, when you can instead use the Wish to simply have the Mind Lash work for you without you becoming a Mind Flayer?
the bone counter along side a necromancer is a nasty combination because I saw nothing that said creatures killed by the mace were destroyed. And there is nothing in the dead raising spells that say they can't be reanimated after being destroyed again
😆 it’s not impossible to become a mindflayer, their whole reproduction shtick is based on turning people into them. You just don’t want to become one for same reasons you don’t want to become a vampire.
Not a rare item (it’s just common) but I find a Sekolahian Worshiping Statuette to be a odd magic item that seems to not really have any use, but damage tiny sea creatures…
As a DM I'd say that a "hairless" creature like kobold or dragonborn would have a chance at beard growth, just because it's such a fun magic effect to have, even if it's 100% flavor only. After all Wild Magic can make you grow a beard of feathers even on a non-feathered player character, why wouldn't a designated grow beard effect work regardless of race? Clearly it just means if you're old enough to be at the equivalent of maturity for your race.
Used bag of beans to kill a boss monster took a empty flask added dirt and bean are magic users water it and used haste we then shot it into the monsters throat and got the explosion mushrooms was awesome
Dorlock has a intel of 6 he went hat shopping he found a hat that spoke to him "I'm free thank you I will grant you 3 wishes for any occasion" "Dorlock wants a snazzyier hat" poof the hat of 3 wishes was gone and dorlock now has a stylish hat
Blod Stone can be a very useful item if your campaign is located in Alabama. If you wanted to have a partner.. Terrible if you wanted to track a specific person.
My DM gave my female halfling barbarian the belt of dwarven kind and made me d20 roll for the beard everyday. I wish i could tell you that she wasnt propositioned by random male dwarfs
Not to be a pedant, but albeit is pronounced all-be-it, not ab-leet. Sorry, I just know I would want someone to tell me, and I noticed in a couple videos now.

"You can use the Gust of Wind from the Lungs to knock enemies off of cliffs."
My immediate first thought: "FUS RO DAH!"

I threw mine and it ended up being the big fireball and almost burned my party alive

Alternatively, getting the blood of a doppleganger and then seeing a 1/3rd of the city light up as relatives
I would give the dragonborn wearing the belt of dwarvenkind a proto-feather beard at the very least.
WAIT YOU'RE THE YUGIOH GUY WTF
Yep, dnd logs is secretly a wild moon spider that plays yugioh
add to that the fact that he is hiro from world of warcraft, and manalogs from the manalogs channel
c:
And the WoW guy.
Yeah, and it shows that he's the Yu-Gi-Oh guys in the quality of his other videos, ESPECIALLY the Magic channel
And PokemonTCG (dexlogs)
Im going to presume that the fishing road will also catch regular fish if you fish where there is fish normal and that does not stop the counter.

24:10 Ah yes warlocks getting drunk on power, bestowed upon them by their Patrón tequila 🍹
I wonder if I could get a DM to agree to let a paraplegic or even quadriplegic character use a Weird Tank to provide replacement limbs?
Because I really want to do that now
Artificer armorer with a mech suit.
I did it as a warforged reflavored as a gnome permanently in a mech suit that he built
10/10 would recommend

When Blackrazor takes control of your body, it is trouble for the rest of the party!
Ooooh you have no idea what inspiration you've given me. I spent the last hour working on Percival Archibald Featherington III, Scholar's Orb.
Personally, I think what makes more sense for the ventilating lungs is that they’re more of a endoskeleton, but just for the lungs. Like a whole bunch of metal pipes and wires and pistons that wrap around your lungs and assist them.
Top 10 Variant items, magic items that can have different items as their base for being equipped but have the same extra effects.
The Blood Stone is perfect for the Sorc-Lich that Pointy Hat made!
Ha, made the same comment before looking at the others already made.
Mom we have the deck of many things at home :
The beans : ;)
For the egg thing, Divination wizard with portent can also help that
spare lungs go to the lung zone for safe keeping
Actually a better way to attune to the Mind Whip would be to cast Nystul’s magic Aura on the user, since that would trick the item into thinking the wielded actually was a mind flayer.
I gotta say, I love the looped universe background video during Psychic Whip.
Did you make that? If so, great job! If not, where did you find it?
22:30 wait dosint that mean that an artificer can use the sentient orb?
I wish you had put the order item, book, description
Top 10 third party spells? Top 10 third party classes/subclasses? Top 10 third party feats?

Do you think with the weird tank if you could put piranas in it. So the water weird has piranas in itself that attack the creatures it constricts?
Material component of the Gust of wind spell hints to the idea that it normally goes not from the lungs but from the... Other end. I don't have any conclusion out of it, it's just funny
Hey! I’ve got Professor Skant in my bag right now!!
Good video

Professor orb goin in my game, in pieces. Gonna be my lore delivery device. Yeeessss
The bag of beans was the bane of our part because we rolled the shreikers like 4 times
you also forgot to mention that the water weird can't drown things that don't breath such as golems, constructs, and undead
"i've been working on a new spell it turns beans into PEAS!"
You should do a top 10 classes in dnd, it would be fun!
Used bag of beans to kill a boss monster took a empty flask added dirt and bean are magic users water it and used haste we then shot it into the monsters throat and got the explosion mushrooms was awesome
No Marvelous Pigments?
Dorlock has a intel of 6 he went hat shopping he found a hat that spoke to him

"Dorlock wants a snazzyier hat" poof the hat of 3 wishes was gone and dorlock now has a stylish hat
The steel lungs could be useful if they have an AC. imagine getting an arrow through the lungs when it passes your armor.
content king
Blod Stone can be a very useful item if your campaign is located in Alabama. If you wanted to have a partner..
Terrible if you wanted to track a specific person.
An Abberant Mind sorcerer could probably use this, or that one psychic monk subclass
Pic for number 2: Is that the Whip of Erebos Magic Card’s art?
some RL lizards have skin flaps on their throats to atract mates, that could be the beard formed by the belt.
The bone counter also works as a way to get silver for holy water, just need to powder it... hmm if only I had a strong mace...
Hey!!!!, are you going to share your thoughts on the d&d movie? I would love to see it!!!
Bag of beans is a rare item instead of an uncommon one tho?
I say that your original lungs go inside a pocket dimension inside the cool lungs
Maybe the voiceover needs to go a bit slower, but it is a very good video.
My dragonborn that wore the belt got a crest of feathers
Or, you could use the blodstone to keep away from a specific entity or their family.
Lungs of Steel could be useful to make your ship go faster
My DM gave my female halfling barbarian the belt of dwarven kind and made me d20 roll for the beard everyday. I wish i could tell you that she wasnt propositioned by random male dwarfs
Pat Rone
AD&D 2nd Edition had the best magic items
I gave a clockwork beat once… a rooster
Do the best top 10 sentient items next
The fishing reel maybe you can sell the fish
“Blod Stone” or “Blood Stone”???
item is called blod stone, dunno why they didnt just call it blood stone, would have made more sense, but it is spelled, "Blod stone" in the books
Patron❌ Patrown💅🏾✅
What if I grafted a mindflayer arm/hand to me so i could use mindlash..
I have a dm to torture
Do the steel lungs allow you to breathe underwater?
Yeah, they allow you to breathe normally in any environment even a Vaccum, so long as you are not in an Antimagic field
Ableet
The Organ Realm
Not to be a pedant, but albeit is pronounced all-be-it, not ab-leet. Sorry, I just know I would want someone to tell me, and I noticed in a couple videos now.
I'm the first like!! Woohoo!!
And forest comment!!
You keep saying “blod stone”. Like you don’t know how to pronounce blood. It’s infuriating
Actual item is called blodstone, blame wizards
These are all great NPC items
Ooooh you have no idea what inspiration you've given me. I spent the last hour working on Percival Archibald Featherington III, Scholar's Orb.
