How can Americans talk about Thai people having too much artificial flavouring? Like c'mon man America IS artificial flavouring
Ikr.
I personally love Thai food. Actually tastes natural to me.
+Bella We got some real stuff too :P
+Toxic Rabbitania agreed, Thai food is life!
As being part Thai, I love thai food way more than I would like american food.
I'm Thai but who else thinks this. The Americans are really picky from every food i see em eat, I was not even this picky when i was a baby eating Thai food
Their just not used to ur food were used to american food everyones different.
yes
I'm Thai I'm Proud My Thailand Thai People So Cute
YEHHHH!!!
Same!
+Raywadee chukaew Im Thai! Too but i learn at a english school so yeaBTW i like lays a lot ดืทด่าทกานดรก่า
+Abigail Hollister in Thai to but I was born in Australia and I learnt to speak Thai.
สวัสดี
I'm Thai and I can tell you that Durian Snacks is worth trying too, no joke!
It's not a fresh durian like most people think. It's fried and crispy durian. I brought some of them to my friends in Australia. They made a weird face when I introduced it to them and no body wanted to try it at all so I left it on the table. 2 hours later, I walked back to find an empty dish. You can't judge it by its stereotype!
Well yes, if it is the fried one. Canned and preserved durians may taste weird overtime you store them. If you are a durian lover, I still recommend you to get the fresh one.
Yesssss. When my father travel to Thailand, jre always bought the durian snacks. Man, its so good. I wish he bought a lot. XD
It's so good, it's like a potato chip but it's more buttery??
it's as buttery as a potato chip, just sweeter ;)
Jiraboon Narktong Yes, Durian chips is the best (and also expensive).
I'm Thai (Native) and you know what... i don't like any of those lol
i am not thai and i eat pho, sounds vietnam and it's out of topic
I'm half thai and I love thai sweets! I always ask my mom to by me them when she goes to asian market :3
The puffs and the sesame nuts taste divine. How could you not love them kub?
That is Thai Junk food and doesn't really represent the really delicous snacks in Thailand.
gottagobideo I live in Thailand and I agree with you. Other than the curry puffs, everything else is just crap sold in 7/11.
Come checkout my UA-cam channel. I have 16 k subscribers and millions of views
gottagobideo well i wasn't enjoying the thai snacks when i arrived there as a tourist, but if i would talk about food that tom-yam (i don't know how it is writen) soup was spicy and absolutely delicious.
gottagobideo and thus the word SNACKS have a meaning
Real :p
UGH! I've been watching all the food test videos and now I'm hungry af.
I know righttttt
Come on... Curry Puff isn't Thai! It's sold in Thailand but it doesn't mean it's Thai! It's mostly a Malaysian/Singaporean snack. Saying Curry Puff is Thai is like saying that America sells Unagi Bento and that makes it a American food.
What do you mean no way? Curry Puffs are more well known in Indonesia, Singapore and Malaysia but not Thailand. Sure. Thailand sold it but the real one the ones that are more well-known for Curry Puffs are Singapore and Malaysia. Go to Malaysia and every roadside stall sells Curry Puff while it's big Singapore food stalls such as Old Chang Kee are the one that spreads Curry Puff elsewhere.
MrLolx2u I agree! I'm Malaysian and I ate curry puffs for almost every week as breakfast.
Yes,Curry puff is not Thailand's,but it's sell in Thailand as well ,it may come from India well..Malaysia Singapore ..like that ,yes I am Thai.
There's no difference of making curry puffs nationally. There's just a variety of stuff of making it and I still won't call Thailand as the land of curry puffs as I've never seen any shop that sells it every time I'm in Thailand but instead in Malaysia and Singapore, they're everywhere.
Im a Malaysian its kinda offensive when they say curry puffs are Thai snacks. Sure they sell curry puffs in Thailand but its not Thai snacks. Its like having Spaghetti at Malaysia/Singapore then we claim like "Hey its our food"
"Tastes like styrofoam"???????????????
I'm sorry, but what kind of person would know what a styrofoam tastes like? Weirdo.
They've obviously eaten it enough to know what it tastes like and compare it to shrimp snacks :D Bahaha.
Don't act like you've never had a Styrofoam cup and taken a bite out of it before.
Kia Maria I've never done that actually. Now paper cups, however...
Kia Maria or you get a styrofoam bead in your drink from the cup.
A lot of kids try to eat things like styrofoam, or at least bite into it. It's not abnormal in the slightest.
The shrimp snacks or chips or whatever ARE SUPER GOOD LIKE YOU COULD EAT 8 BAGS WITHOUT GETTING TIRED OF IT.
They are really good. Im from เวียงจันทน์ (sorry don't know the spelling in english) and they're like 75 cents per bag.
Esther G. It is Vientiane, and It is a capital city of Laos
No!!!! Euro cake is not real Thai
+Piranan Tramot yeahhhh I am a Thai, and I am like.....wait a minute, since when Euro Cake is a Thai snack?

Shawarma (Meat with amazing spices and its eaten in your favourite kind of Bread :).
I hope they could try it
Thanks BuzzFeed :) !
I've heard Wark Enab is really good. Is it also eaten in Asian culture, because I've seen some of my Asian friends bring it to school...?
Well it's not a problem if you eat food from another culture or it's probably seaweed because it looks a lot similar Wark Enab. Gavin Bowen
Farah Abaza Yeah. I know, but it seemed like an asian dish at the time.
Okay. Gavin Bowen
Gavin Bowen no. It tastes very savoury and sour. Asian foods have rice in leaf foods but not grape vine leaves...
I kept going back to 0:48. I can keep watching Andrew eat that curry puff. #IsThatWeird
JONSTERLEE lol I think he's sexy when he did that
JONSTERLEE lol you said what was in my heart
Total meat lovers eat vegetarian/vegan food
That moment when you're trying to order Thai food over the phone, but her accent is so thick that you just give up and make yourself a bowl of Cheerios.
That never happens..
Never ever!
Nope :L Never.
Your fucking ignorant....
Nattharika Soisap How is that ignorant? MAYBE it happened to him
I hope Sara and Zach date.

+Alex Clarke Sara is dating Shane
Casandra That's good too, I like shane.
Your comment got 69 likes which is appropriate
Yay glad you liked some of the snacks!!!
About time for Thailand
Wait... What?
LiaamBolton There are fried bamboo warms, grass hopers, crickets etc. They're not dirty because they come from specific farms.
I grew up in Thailand, and seriously never seen that shrimp chips before... -_-
In Thailand, that's not a package snack anyway.
minnief032 Maybe they're sold in a different part of Thailand?
Really, thai people shouldn't take offense to this and neither should anyone who's snacks are being tried by people from other countries. Their just saying what they think about the food. If you like it, good for you. That doesn't mean everyone else has to like it too.
The only thing that gets on my nerves, is when the people say "thai food sucks and therefore thai people suck" or "these american snacks are really sugary so that means all americans are fat" I hate when people say that
PS. I am an american
like if you agree
shhh chill out dude i don't even like those strawberry cakes (i try to forget them TT-TT)
nachon33 sorry not you I'm more talking to the annoying people in the comments :) :) :)
The problem isn't them trying the food. It's fine to try other cultural food, but it's the way they (some of them) are expressing their thoughts. It's way over rude, they could at least be cautious of the way they say stuff
Anab Ali ya probably they could be a little nicer lol
Anna M Foster well we america do like to express our opinions even if its rude lmao
I'm half thai and I LOVE SHRIMP SNACKS lol
I love the heartburn commercials before some of these videos!!
Do Americans try Canadian food!!
Try Swedish Food!
What food does Sweden have?
BrendanTheLoser meatballs lmao
BrendanTheLoser köttbular cooked, köttbular fried, köttbullar refrigerated, köttbular toasted, köttbular microwaved, köttbular raw... thats it :)
MoarKitteh ninjadefuseXx WOW that actually sounds tasty. I wish I could do videos like these on my channel, but I don't have the resources
surstromming... hehe
What! Those strawberry cakes are AMAZING! Grew up with that. Better than Twinkies.
ive seen you comment of apsara videos before :)
Liam Turner Lol, probably is me. I watch tons of those videos.
Yeah me too i love the dances and i want to go to Angkor Wat one day :)
Well, Twinkies are horrible.
Twinkles are awful. God, they're so gross.
Euro brand cake is Thai snack!!!! What a surprise! I'm Thai and I didn't even know it!
I actually have that strawberry cake for breakfast when i was in school. It comes with chocolate, banana and cream too.
zach and sarah are like boy girl versions of eachother
I love these tasting videos!
In NZ you can the Shrimp Snacks from the Fish n Chip shop only they are freshly deep fried and we call them prawn chips. Yummy.
You should do Indian snacks next. Like samosas, pakoras, jalebi, etc.
AND ALOO TIKKI!
Oooohhhhh...they should also do Arabic/Iran too! Our fruit snacks are soooo good.
And dolmah, can't forget that!
oh oh totally down with that! im always curious with that round food i keep seeing in almost all bollywood movies but its always translated as 'sweets' . so i dont really know whats the name of that food, but they oughtta try that :D
DoMakeDiy Gurl, preach it! I know that Kulfi is from Pakistan but you can't get anything that tastes more natural and sweet than that B)
Need more international tasting vids.
Yeah, I like these! I wish I had the money and resources to do them on my channel
these videos always make me hungry
My family usually buys the green version of those last snacks and i like them. Cant remember what flavor they were but the more you eat them the more u like and crave them.
Yay, I was waiting for this! (I live in Thailand)
me too never thought they gonna do this XDD
Those snacks weren't really that Thai :< what about fried banana, or fried insects x3?
Omg Yaass Fried Bananas! So good
Fried crickets are amazing! They're the best movie snack ever !
Yep
They probably are harder to get since Americans typically don't eat straight up bugs and the people would have freaked out
I LOVE FRIED BANANA
great choice of music for this
I never had any of these snacks, but I have been to both pattaya and phuket and I loved the local cuisine.
I'm from Thailand and I love all of them
Me too
Me three
Me four
try malaysian food please! :)
i love your art it's so amazing!!
haha thank you :)
Yuup. Malaysian food ftw. :DD MALAYSIA BOLEH!!
It might disappear
It might blow up
in the Netherlands, we eat a lot of those shrimp snacks, they are called kroepoek here and we usually serve it with nasi, bami or other asian rice dishes, its kind of a standard to have it with those dishes.
It comes it a couple of flavours too, seasoned with spices.
kroepoek and quite a few other snacks and dishes came to the netherlands when Indonesia was a colony of the Netherlands
I LOVE KROEPOEK!
I loooooove curry puffs and satay chicken sticks so much!!!!!
shrimp chips is the best
Ikr
I go to Thailand a fair bit, and I seriously haven't seen most of these snacks except for the peanuts and the shrimp chips (which are more generally South East Asian than just Thai).
Should have given them something with Tom Yam flavouring ;)
Henry is spot on! Too often did i see curry puffs on airports.
Aw the last guy is so sweet!
The girl with the black and curly hair always makes me so happy.

It's so great to see Americans try my country's food!
You guys should post where you get all the snacks in these videos!
You Americans don't have the shrimp snacks? In the Netherlands, we eat a lot of them...
America= continent...
Well, in the USA there are markets of everything, that literally sells everything. But that doesnt mean people go there and try that stuff
(This comment doesnt answer any question, you can take it whatever you want)
Pardon me? I said America, i never said anything about americans. Where did you get "american" from? According to you its two things very different so why did you thought i meant american when i clearly said America. I j was just giving a fact, it would be exactly the same if i said "Africa is a continent" now, you fck off
We do have shrimp snacks and majority of the snacks shown in buzzfeed are imported to the US. I see them sold all the time in the stores just down my street. But I think buzzfeed tries to find people in their office who've never tried/seen the snacks before.
I wish foreigners took their reactions like this, instead if saying "dumb Americans"
We have chicken in a biscuit. That shit is great
I want them ALL! Not because they all sound good, but because I am hungry. I would totally buy them if there was a link in the description. There should be some kind of service that sends you little boxes of treats from all over the world every month. Kinda like a bark box, but for people.
All i need is a netflix for chips.
I literally said this last week! Someone needs to start up a business where you sign up for monthly boxes and get sent snacks from around the world; I'm glad I'm not the only one who would totally do something like that :D
There is something like that! :) www.trytheworld.com/ In this site if you subscribe you'll receive a gourmet box from a different country every two months! If I'm not wrong the owner of the site is Doe Deere's sister :)
"Try the world" and "Naturebox" is a similar concept.
yea these snacks looked really good
I live in Thailand for like 10 years already and people here don't really eat all of the snacks showed here but I still like this video :)
Andrew, you never cease to amaze me with your clever comments
Try traditional thai snacks next! tong yip tong yord and stuff are really good! give it a try!
Hi dear I'm thai and just to point out that those you referred to are not 'traditional' thai snacks. we know how to make them and they're quite popular in thai culture, yes. But they're actually portuguese's.
darkshadowB4TH I know very well that its roots are portugese but we've converted them into our own, Do not forget that they were the one who taught us thais how to bake with eggs, traditional thai sweets before our contact with the portugese rarely has eggs in it.They gave us their technique in which we used to invent our own sweets. You pointed out that we know how to make them, then i must ask how many portugese knows how to make the exact tong yip tonng yorn that we have in thailand? And to what degree? Apart from them teaching us how to make sweets with eggs and us assimilating some portugese sweets, i'm going to say it's pretty traditional.
ppyporpeem i agree to begin with thai people aren't even thai if you have read about our history we're made up of many many cultures and and nationalities. And this was not just from ayudhya period it was wayyyyyy back in the iron ages! so we're just a mix of god knows what lol. Anyway anything born in thailand is considered thai :D
nachon33 Someone who understands! we are a mix of culture(and so is pretty much everything) it's impossible to make claim of something that had diverged so much from a common point in time :3
I love Thai
Those curry puffs look like HEAVEN, man.
I really wanna try all of these!
+Amy Lore Check it out here, you may find something you like --> www.thaisnackonline.com/
I miss eating Thai food....
Stephenie Bowen "I am Thai, what kind of Thai food do you like?"
Phadungsit Khamsai I enjoy Thai food. And I mean the real Thai food, not the Americanized version. My ex husband's aunt makes amazing Thai food (and not cause she is Thai)
เออ คือผมคนไทย ครับ คุณอยาก กินอาหารไทย แบบไหนครับ
Phadungsit Khamsai my ex husband's aunt owns a Thai restaurant in Huntington Beach CA, she opened it not long after moving to the states from Thailand. All the cooks are Thai so they make it legit.
Phadungsit Khamsai คืออย่าโชวโง่ พิมพ์ไม่ถูก Grammar แล้วคนที่ไหนเขาจะตอบได้ว่ะ
ควรจะพิมพ์ว่า "I am Thai, what kind of Thai food do you like?"
You guys should make a "Americans try dutch snacks" and than give them a frikandelbroodje, roze koek, stroopwafel and a kroket
yeaah hahah
wat denk je van een uitsmijter :D
Poferetjes, kibbeling, herring, apelstroop as well!
Thailand knows how to make snacks..that strawberry cake thing looked really good
Ya'll make me miss krob kem so much >< its the best!!!
I'm Malaysian and pretty sure that curry puffs is a Malaysian food.. Am I right?
Im half Thai and it's true
yup
I'm full Thai and yes it is but curry puffs are eaten a lot by Thai people and in America if you got to some Thai restaurants they will have them
OG BassDropzz hey, is Thailand people handsome and nice? Especially at 17-22 years old? I'm planning to marry one lmao. I see Malay and Thai makes beautiful children ;D
MintyMiku Well wouldnt know what to say about that but in america alot of us are lol but over sea in thailand probably the ones in the city
I'm an American living in Thailand. I'd love to see a video of Americans trying pla ra...if you could keep them sitting near it long enough to film. :D
Do you eat it with the traditional papaya salad? This is also another case of smell over flavor thing that I don't get with some countries.
Johnny Jacobsen sometime I don't get with my own countries.
Grew up eating all of those! Watching them eat it made me jealous lol
I'm not Thai but my family is from there and my dad is always talking about how he misses the food and snacks over there. I have to say that those last 2 snacks are the only ones I actually know of, they sell here in the US lol
Americans thy superior! Please bless us the simple with criticism of our food.
Dafuq?
Seriously, wtf?
How can you be offended by FOOD? Quit being so sensitive, they aren't used to the different flavors and I couldn't blame them, I'm Thai and I took absolutely no offense to this. It's FOOD.
The music immediately reminded me of that fishing game in Club Penguin. Ah, those were the days....
Recently stayed in the Hansar hotel had some great food in the Thai food court and on the streets.
Did you guys do Korea yet? I would love to see them try Kimchi!
What's Kimchi?
BrendanTheLoser pickled lettuce in hot sauce? thats my best description but its technically maple syrup if Korea was Canada......:3
jenny lee Wow, that's interesting. Sounds good actually! I love these videos. Wish I could do something like this on my channel
The shrimp chips (krupuk in Indonesia) are awesome dipped in peanut sauce. I just made some tonight.
These taste testing videos are fun but they're not long enough. I like the testers personalities.
Americans Try Dominican Snacks!
Yeah i think they should!
Have they tried Pocky and/or Nori on here before?
If not, then they must try them!
Tbh, Pocky isn't a foreign flavor. It's chocolate+bread...
And, your point is? My point is that it's awesome.
Pocky is not very good to be honest, it's really low quality chocolate. For some strange reason the Western version called Mikado taste better yet it belong to the same company. Maybe because the Japanese version is not made with Swiss or Belgian chocolate...
Mikado is the best.
Klmp13 Lmao I just love your reply.
"It's not a baby empanada?" Hahahaha, lol, this videos are sooo great!
Thailand, delicious food and a relaxing stay.
They should try traditional Thai desserts ;)
Yes!!
Indian snacksss! I'd love to see their reaction to the spice!!! Mwahahaha :P
Oh gosh, they'd die from the spice! haha.

Thank you very much! for try thai snack! i want you to live in thailand!
in the netherlands we call shrimp snacks: kroepoek. pronounce as croo-pook
is that typically dutch?
samuel Kapelle kroepoek komt uit indonesië lang leven de kolonie :(
Don Beat ja ik weet waar het vandaan komt, ik bedoelde of de naam iets nederlands was.
Isabel Cueto well that might be the origin of its name, very cool.
we can buy it in ready to eat packs, we are lazy dutch people.
Isabel Cueto thats true, and most of the people wouldn't know how to prepare it, so maybe its better to keep it simple so normal people can enjoy it too
+samuel Kapelle the indonesian spelling is kerupuk. and it's spelled keu-roo-pook. kroepoek is just old dutch spelling from the time dutch colonizing indonesia.
keep it simple? you just need to fry it for a few secs and it's ready. smh.
Thought this said Thai Sticks for a second lol
MsMzphit lol definitely
