Simple build with less items to carry and to take up space in your rig. Our Landcruiser setup includes a DIY drawer system. Your rig's body roll can be reduced by replacing the sway bar bushes. You could also reduce your lift by 2 inches. All the best and keep those videos coming.

I follow many of your you tube adventure series. thank you for sharing many camper car locations. at the same time I feel your old vehicle is more comfortable and sufficient. The good thing about this land cruiser is that it is bigger and tougher, but the cost of road tax, maintenance is more expensive and less comfortable. whatever it depends on each other's satisfaction. thanks again for sharing your adventure.
Hi, thanks for watching my videos! I do agree that the Subaru is a very good and capable car, way more comfortable. It is sufficient for weekend trips, short trips, light off road. Buying the Land Cruiser is for a very different, bigger purpose :)

Thanks. Solo camping isn't difficult, it is very safe as long as you go to private campsites. Enjoy!
What you have is LC Mark 11 and this type of wagon has too much body roll. You need pay attention on that especially on taking corners. To address that you need stiffer spring and good dampers. Koni or Bleinstein shock is better. Some of EMU shock also built for stiffness. Don't go for comfort ride shocks it won't address body roll. Enjoy your LC Mark 11 Prado version.

Lower it 2 inches and replace the tires with smaller sizes maybe 32 or 33 inch ATs. I am assuming you will probably not be doing anything too hardcore offroading with the "Creampuff" so you'll probably wouldn't be needing such a big lift or big tires.
You are absolutely right. I won't be doing extreme off-roading, it's mostly for touring/overlanding with some mild off-road capabilities. So 2 inch would be perfect.

My LC2 done 5 inc lift. All you need is a good suspension system. Mine I had 4 absorbers setup at the rear. No mo side to side rolling
5 inch is alot. You must be a hard-core off roader :)

Wow saya jealous sgt dengan camping life u, sebab saya pun tgh depress sgt jadi saya perlukan camping macam ni, tetapi belum affordable dari segi financial, commitment dan masa.
Sebenarnya camping tak perlu belanja banyak. Sekadar khemah dan peralatan biasa sudah memadai. Kalau masa tidak cukup, mungkin boleh picnic saja waktu petang. Healing2 relax2 sejam dua pun best :)

Jun, are you getting any recovery gear to go with your new 4x4 ride? I have an extra set of traction boards, a high lift jack, chains, pulleys, straps and some other stuff in my storeroom you could use. I haven't gotten myself into any off-road situations for a few years now and the equipment is mostly lying idle.

I thought you didn't like your friend, 'coz you camped so far away from her. 😁 Shame about the camera. It depends how deep those scratches are, you might be able to get a professional buff them out. But you should really have a filter on all your camera lenses. Not only protection for finger prints and dust, but can also act as protection for things like what just happened to yours. A good all round type is a UV filter. Looked like another chilled overnight camping trip. 👍
The scratch on the lens was quite bad so I ended up buying a new lens. Luckily it's only a kit lens so not too pricey! Yeah you're right, maybe I should get a UV filter :)
About camping far away from my friend, it was because my spot had a nicer river view, that's all. We were only 20 steps away from each other. No biggie!

As suggested by Calvin C Y Chin, a proper pair of Wheel Chucks/Chocks ( like the ones, the airport crew places at the Front n Rear of the Front Landing Wheel. Chucks offer a good safety/ anti-self-roll should any unforeseen circumstances,cause your Land Cruiser to "move".
