@@colinduchilio4052 I don't think it is super good, sure it is useful but there are the max monsters whitch don't care. There is also a spell that lets 2 high level monster be undestroyable by traps for a turn. And there is a 1 tribute dragon that can shuffle back opponents cards from grave to deck every turn it is on the field. It is sure good aganist NPCs, but if pvp gets popular in this game, people would easily play around it.
@@shadyshyguy4058 Good to know you replied to a month old post but In the real rush format, Dark Liberation is still one of if not the best trap in the game, partially being the reason Ryuma (Dragoncasters) are still meta relevant to this day. Maximum monsters generally speaking suck, as they are too inconsistent, and Fusions generally do their job better. As for protection pieces, you generally don't want to run just protection cards unless they do something else for you, which is why Spell/Trap removal - like Dark Lurker for Thunderbold decks - are much preferred. Often, you cant really afford to play around something like Dark Liberation, as the monsters your opponent controls likely immediately threaten your board.

And so I checked eshop like on a weekly basis and I'm astonished that this never even had a preorder page or was ever even on the eshop's "coming soon" section. I only found out it was finally out when TGS Anime had released a video about the first hour of it on release day and I was like "wth it's already out?!" Just like you as soon as I found out, I rushed and went to buy and download it.

Haha if he'd seen the anime, he would have known ahead of time to fear Blue-Eyes. This duel is actually quite difficult due to his ability to out your traps and revive his big boys even if you do destroy them with traps.

Unless a a year is only like 5 or 6 months in MBT land then yeah your off with your first statement. Saikyou Battle royale hit Japan back in august, 8/21 to be precise and before it came out KONAMI confirmed it'd be gettting an english release. I would assume the 4 month wait was simply a case of dotting their eyes and crossing their Ts.. There of course was no offical subs to base names on... there was no english version of the card game to just import names of Sevens exclusives in from. So going through and coming up with card names as well as a game plan for character names- do we rename all the generic NPCs? Do we leave them? Do we rename key characters ? Those sort of decisions probably took a good month or two to just decide on before actually implimenting it... I can only assume at the time of development they were on the fence about releasing it in the english market... but by time it was announced (along side Cross Duel, and Master duel) it was confirmed it would get an English release later in the year so I'd say its a safe bet they just weren't sure on what they wanted to call stuff in game... kinda glad they kept Rush duels as rush duels since in the past we've seen terms change between JP and english... like Riding duels became turbo duels luckily i dont think it really happened outside of 5DS but one could argue that they could of came up with some really random name for rush duels in the english ver had they wanted to.

I disagree. The games are so much more about the battles and good back-and-forth turns that are missing from Master Duels. No more of this turn-one five negates bulldust.
It's probably the worst part of Rush Duels, yeah, but it's not a huge deal personally because I feel the cards are designed around it fairly well. Most of the time, it just comes down to turn by turn interaction, which keeps the game simple and easy to follow for new players, so I understand the decision.
