Ghoti massively misplayed. You send Zep into banish with the Lv6 Synchro, which makes it self-summon, which allows to go into Deep Beyond and clear the field, which is also why you don't activate Askaan but instead go into White Aura Whale.
As a flower cardian and an Ursarctic player I am disappointed that both of them didn't get to show off anything in the video from the tournaments they topped

The various waves of support don't work with each other, with each bit and piece making up a different strategy (synchro, fusion and ritual bosses??? Huh???). Also white stone of ancients only working during your end phase and that's somehow still one of the best archetypes support lol. Bingo Machine and the field spell are both extremely underpowered or just not useful. It's sad cuz it's all got such a nice aesthetic but the effects are all awful.
Alghoul mazera is a r zombie card that costs 500 gems per copy because its in the structure deck only, i have found its very useful for zombies, a floating destruction negate and good body on the board and the effect isnt once per turn
Plus it can make some very funny loops witj other zombie interactions to essentially never die and recover, I actually stole some games that way in lower powered formats

Normally, decks that lose to ash either don't have many ways to search their key combo pieces, or just like with Ash die to interaction going 2nd. That's why they end up rogue. Branded has many ways to search Branded Fusion (it's the fact that ash stops Branded Fusion itself); and as Branded Fusion is a spell it's easier to play around monster negations (plus they can play super poly). But yeah, in all seriousness, Ash is the most played card in the TCG. No doubt putting it to 1 or 2 would increase the diversity in the game. Also, other handtraps do stuff like locking s/t columns and giving people comically huge tokens, which is far more interesting than a negate.

Plus it floats into Azure who protects your dragons and bypasses the "drawback" of Spirit Dragon By todays standards it is comicaly bad and bricky, but it was designed as a meta killer to sell yugiboomers into following worlds since it won by being deck that kis other viable ones by default Thats what they meant by it being designed to clown the 2016 meta
Love that people just blatantly or unintentionally cheat in this tournament, in the ghoti vs zombie match, a vendread card is summoned and if im not misinterpreting the rules, im assuming thats illegal since vendread has made it to top cut in one of the tournaments before.

Last Card Standing continues to prove how bad of an idea it is to ban so many hand traps. Until the majority of archetypes are equally good going first and second, a format without hand traps will always be a coin flip simulator.
Yeah theres too many combo decks and legacy support tjat made older ones up to speed with those (or even made older decks combo decks) Back in the day befire handtraps were abundant you could recover with plwerful traps and such but theres no recovery wjen you are dead before you make a move since opponent has crazy board Another big tjing is that links are just too generic for any deck that can spew monsters on board
I didn't know why he banned the most impactful handtraps instead just the most impactful cards. Once they'd banned the best handtraps there was no reason to keep going.

I play Plunders with Kaijus and it beats every other build out there. The adventure build sucks. I’ll tribute whatever you have with a Kaiju and then use to attribute of the Kaiju to make my extra deck plays
lot of people don't actually like to interact when they play yu-gi-oh. You can actually kind of tell by their opinion on the Tear meta. If they enjoyed the Tear meta, they actually like playing the game with people. If they hated the Tear meta, it's most likely they are one of the people who prefer to just do their own combos and could care less about actually interacting with an opponent.

While also being able to summon extra negates like dragostapelia during my turn as well as plus off of it just to make sure they can always recover, absolutely fun gameplay and interaction just playing playing adamancipator or draw 4 handtraps and that one card starter Just to make it clear I'm not a modern yugioh hater as I play modern decks too, but I have much more fun playing suships and springans over playing tear and spright But I already know how this conversation is going to end with you or anyone else coming to tell me how skillful and fun tear is, but while I agree that it's fun to play, I absolutely hate playing against it, or should I say not being allowed to play when paired against it
