theyre chemistry is undeniable, and their harmonies are still on point...miss them all together... i saw them live in 1986, it was so fun!
Love this song ❤❤❤!
I love them. Missing Davy Peter and Mike
I Will Always Love The Monkees!
The Monkees are one of the greatest bands of all time, hands down. RIP Davy.
Siempre los recordaré con todo cariño, pues cuando yo era una niña , me gustó mucho su estilo y sus tiernas y lindas melodías!!! Me encanta escucharlos!!!❤
Davy Jones (in spirit) Mickey Dolenz, Mike Nesmith and Peter Tork will always be our four insane boys.
Im a huge big Monkee fan since I was 10 years old in 1966 when the show first came on TV then summer of 67 age 11 had the biggest crush on Davy Jones and I still wish I had married Davy but tragically sadly he died of a heart attack on Feb 29th 2012 age 66! Mom had thought he would of made a great son in law ! Mom died July 16th 2013 age 84 . Its 7 years ago she died and miss her so very much !
1:27 I cracked up when Davy and Micky held hands
Rest in peace Davy and Peter.
🙏🏻🙏🏻
Great song
It's hard to see Peter Tork and Davy Jones knowing there not with us anymore
Loved them all but Davy oh my Davy Ill Always love you forever
RIP Davy and Peter. 😪😪😪🙏💜🙏
And Mike as of 12/21. Legends all. Carry on, Micky. 💓
This put a smile on my face.
What a clear, wonderful video!
Micky must miss his brothers 🙏🏿 xxx
Peter's voice is great on this clip. It usually is in different versions of this song
So sad that Davy was gone in less than a year from this concert :(
Awwww Davy! I can't watch this. *sob*
Awesome video !
Excellent!!!
love the monkees
Still goofy...Davy,you are missed sooooo much.
RIP Davy :(
@sfperkins36 They've been trying that tired old accusation against The Monkees for years & years, Just deal with the fact that they are all great singers/artists & move on.
RIP Davy Jones-You are a legend.
you know whats the funny thing about he monkeys, at the very height of the popularity in the late sixties, right as they where being lambasted by the critics, they where in fact the very best road show in the business, not the who, or zeppelin or the animals or anyone else had a better put together show. ironic isn't it?
Were they treated really that very badly by critics back then? I mean, I get it, manufactured bands aren't as they are now. But there must have been others right? And regardless, they were really good at what they did do!?! X
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Solamente Dios sabía que Davy partiría. ¡Qué pena! RIP Davy.
If there was one song that i wish they would've performed more regularly it would be words i see why it was a b side hit..
@sfperkins36 I saw that tour as well. They lip synced the 'monkees theme' at the beginning as a joke. The rest was VERY live with a great backing band. There will always be Monkees haters who will make up crap like this.
Why didn't they sing "Words" when I saw them at the Greek theater? THAT would've done me in!
Just now seeing this. They turned into zombies. haha!
Que grupo tan bueno pero que no eran 4 cual o quien falta ahí en su concierto alguien me podría decir, saludos.
Falta Mike Nesmith
Mickey started on the wrong spot!
jajaajajajaja como le quita la mano en el 1.30 jaja
Back in the sixties Peter couldn't carry a tune in a bucket. Now his voice is so full, so beautiful.
With Davy's passing it's the end of an era, I think.
Aimee Ward Aimee I think Peter’s clownish quirkiness got him the reputation as a weak link in the singing department. If I don’t have an early recording of his own piece Lady’s Baby from that era in my Pure Americana list please try to catch it elsewhere. It is soulful and beautiful.
Peter's had and still has a great singing voice, unfortunately they never let him sing on hardly any songs. Unfortunately Words is the only song where Peter showed off his great voice. The song For Pete's Sake was written by Peter Tork although Micky Dolenz sang the lead.
I hate to say it but Mick does not sound comfortable and Peter sounds tired. Mick today, or at least more recently, with Circe Link in a couple live tracks actually sounds more like himself. The fact is that Words is a very difficult song, on the original track Mick had to change voice texture and hold out with a lot of chest voice, and Peter had to match Mick’s natural smoothness, which makes it give you chills. You can’t just jump on stage and sing this, it should be planned and Performed, there’s a huge difference. Then when Mick tenses up because he is tired or stressed, that’s all she wrote. But we still love them for all their touring, in this case with way too loud backup musicians, and all they always have worked hard to give.
I'm not impressed. I saw them back in the 80s when they were doing a tour then without Nesmith. They were lip synching
