- When Body Language Expert, Scott Rouse tells stories about the behavior and nonverbal communication he sees and has seen in the music business, at the grocery store, at the hospital, at school, and just about anywhere out in the wild, it's interesting and very funny.
SCOTT! I hope that some day you can find the time to write your autobiography - seriously, the stories you tell about all of your experiences, certainly including in the music industry - not just limited to your life involving body language, would be very engaging and fascinating reading. Personally I would love to read that as I doubt I will ever have the pleasure of meeting you in person - let alone having the number of hours with you to have the entertainment of hearing all of your tales. Your childhood stories are great too, especially talking about wisdom from your father. I find all of it to be totally absorbing. Please give the idea of an autobiography some consideration if you haven't before. I am absolutely sincere.
i second this autobiography idea!!!! i’d definitely read it!
@@jaclyn.jenkins I agree! I'd love to read his autobiography. I'm a massive music lover. So I would really love hearing all of his amazing tales about producing music and the incredible musicians he hung out with.
I'd love to read it! The segue from heavy metal to body language expert would be fascinating
I concur 😎
Scott, I am a Southerner who has been living in northern California for over 24 years. When I start telling a story, people here are waiting for me to get to the punchline, or to the end. Your videos take me back to being in the South, where we are natural storytellers, and appreciate hearing stories. I love hearing and seeing you; you are a charming and smart Southerner.
Thank you so much, Sarah. I have the best time doing these videos.🙂
@@sarahallenhumboldt2638 That confirms what happened to me: Born and raised in California. At age 50, I moved to Oklahoma. I didn't realize how rushed I was until I went to open a bank account: The guy was soooo slow. After we were finished, he said "Sorry it took so long." I felt bad and then realized, I could relax here. Such a huge culture difference from state to state. I love listening to stories now, especially Scott's, bcuz I usually end up laughing so hard, I cry.🤣
@@sarahallenhumboldt2638 I couldn't agree more! I was raised in the South (Georgia) and loved listening to my grandmother tell stories about growing up "in the good ole days." My grandmother passed away back in 2013 and I wish my sister and I had recorded her telling these stories. They were long, detailed, colorful, and full of humor. Just everything you'd want in a story. And I definitely love listening to Scott's soft, Southern voice while he tells one of his many stories. I actually enjoy listening to his bedtime videos at night because his voice is so soothing. Helps cure my insomnia almost every single time.
Love your dog..my favorite episode was when you were in your backyard and all the critters loved you ❤
Thank you so much. I have the best time out there with all of them.🙂
I freaking loved that story about Charlie Daniel’s faith! Scott- you are a treasure!
I see patients in their homes and the dogs always like me. Well, except some of the chihuahuas. You have to watch out for them sometimes 😉 .
None of us would hate you, your nose isnt too big and your hair looks fine.
🙂❤️
i used to work at a call center for telecommunications troubleshooting for clients. this one lady called in a rage about her service, told me that i didn't want to help her because of her skin color. i told her that i can't see over the phone, so thats not the case. i told her to take a deep breath, and relax for a second and then i would help her. she actually did, to my surprise. after that she apologized, and we ended up being able to help her. 😅
I enjoyed hearing how you were interested in body language at a young age. Especially the stories with you and your dad. He understood you as a person. He didn’t talk down to you.
Scott - you're a gifted story teller! It's becoming a lost art. I really respect someone who can keep you interested in a story. It's like reading a good book. Thanks!
I love that you had your fur baby in the opening - more Hattie!
Thanks for sharing your knowledge - I found you and the BP 3 years ago when I escaped 23 years married to a dark tetrad - similar profile to Bundy - almost exact communication style - slippery and ultra manipulative - smirk of contempt included. Watching you and the guys helped snap me back to Earth. If you're ever looking for data on long term entanglements with the disordered, let me know - I'd love to help. 💜
We now have a perfect baseline on Scott !
GI Joe had the ...."I'm so glad you're heeere" face. 😮😂 Love your stories! They illustrate body language in a hilarious/memorable way.
Thank you so much. 🙂
I’m psyched that Scott showed up in my feed last year. I’ve been watching BL videos on UA-cam for years. Oddly, most creators that make BL content make me uneasy or seem ‘off’. I know now they’re likely unqualified to be making BL content. I truly can’t watch them now w/out getting the heebie-jeebies. Plus, I just adore his handsome face, kind demeanor, calm voice & killer sense of humor. What a breath of fresh air.
She is adorable and so is that hat!
😐
I'm late to the party but I'm at home, under the weather, and your stories are just what the doctor ordered. My husband is a bass player and I just told him about Quiet Riot Rudy's shopping cart, bless him. Thank you for sharing your stories.
Hattie's heard all these but she's trying so hard to look interested. She's a good lil pup.
The story about your nephew reminds me of my granddaughter. She can spin a story like nobody's business. I just look at her with amazement and wonder how the heck did she come up with that one.😂
Scott, i could listen to your stories all day! You are the ultimate story teller ❤
Thank you, Ruby.🙂
Thank you so much for doing story time Scott!! I do love it when you are talking body language and then pause thoughtfully, smile, laugh and tell a story related to whatever body language question you were answering. Love it!! You have lived a full and interesting life!! I am learning body language and sometimes I even get to have a good laugh!! Thanks again Scott!!
Thank you, Roberta. I really appreciate that. I sure do talk a lot.🙂
I don’t think so at all! You are so darn interesting I could listen all day long and learn something. What could be better???
You should do a Part Deux - I could listen to Scott Stories all day! 🪠🎵
Ha! I might do that then. 🙂
Can't sleep and what have we here? Of all TBP panelists, Scott's personality and sense of humor are like a close friend on a sunny day. Greg's like my own personality by default, serious, strategic, and deadly. Chase is the handsome charmer and Mark is a con man.
#ChangeMyMind
😂😂😂😂💯🇺🇲
Wow I could listen to you talk music all day long!! I love listening to the behavioral stuff too. Thanks for sharing your stories! :)
Hattie is adorable! 🥰
I have synesthesia, too, I see vowels (in the German or pre-Great Vowel Shift English pronunciation) and numbers in colors. For instance, "a" is green, "i" (pronounced "ee") is red, "o" is black, "u" (pronounced "oo") is purple, "e" is beige... Consonnants are white. So, when I hear people speak, I see the words flowing in colors with my inner eye. This has been a great help to learn how to spell French, strangely enough (strange because "eau" is pronounced like "o", "ou" like "oo" etc.). And despite the different sounds, I knew that "eau" was beige-green-purple, for instance.
For music or other sounds, it's hard to explain, I don't see colors but shapes that change.
When I was a child, I thought everybody saw it like that, too, and when I mentioned the colors of vowels to a school friend, she looked at me like I was crazy; that's when I knew it wasn't "normal" and I never spoke of it again, until much later when I found out that this phenomenon had a name (I felt relieved, too, I wasn't crazy).
Thanks. This was like having coffee with your neighbor. The one you like.
you need to do a dog body language video. START WITH YOUR CUTE PUPPY!!
We want to see pictures of your rock star hair, Scott!
I love Scott's stories. I also love how he's open enough to say he loves watching The Good Witch and cats, etc. If you really could invite any six people to dinner, I'd invite Scott. He'd be a fun dinner guest. Scott, the Panel should do a world tour! I don't know how I got interested in body language. I've always been interested in psychology and why people behave as they do - so I imagine it's a natural progression in understanding people and their behaviours.
Wow. I haven’t talked about the good witch in ever. You must’ve been watching our stuff for a long time. Thank you for watching my stuff over here. I really do appreciate it.🙂
@@ScottRouse I've been watching for a while, but UA-cam feed me videos from years ago too.
The four of you guys are just so nice. It is so good to watch you.
Hi Scott. We have plenty of odd behaviors, going around these days. Lol. I had to deal with many people in my life, at work, etc..... Cute puppy dog. 😍😊🐾
You know, I would have guessed many, many things before I came up with "heavy metal guy," as a previous vocation for Scott! Cool backstory and glad he shared it. The little dog is a heart stealer.
Thank you so much. Hattie is the sweetest dog in the world.🙂
@@ScottRouse I won't tell mine he's got competition for his "Best Dog in the World," title. You know... speaking of body language experts, these little guys miss nothing.
Whenever you say "Louisa, Kentucky" I smile. Thanks!
Love the additional doggo! I’m watching you with my chihuahua/terrier mix buddy. 💜
Yay!
Glad you stayed safe and avoided war
The whole time a smile 😊on my face. Thank you Scott 👌
Hey Ute! Thank you for hanging out. 🙂👍
I absolutely loved the story about your father. He must have been a fantastic physician who really paid attention to his patients as people, not "cases." A body language expert by nature, and obviously a wonderful dad. I can definitely see how it would spark your interest in body language--it really is kinda magical, when you think about it. So glad you shared it, thank you!
Thank you so much. He was awesome. 🙂👍
I meant to comment on this weeks ago... very simply put... one of your best videos :)
Scott..........HIGHLIGHTS. YOUR KILLING ME MAN!!!!! I probably would have never thought of HIGHLIGHTS again.
You crack me up man. You are a very interesting human being Scott. I am glad I found you. Or maybe you found me. Whichever, you are fun to listen to. You are funny too, when you brought up highlights I started laughing, just because you rocketed me back to my childhood dentist. Thanks man.
Adorable dog! It's a sign! I am getting a Chihuahua!
Yay! (Send me a picture when you get it)
Love your stories. Very few people think their life is interesting when it happens, but when you look back on it, those odd thoughts, embarrassing situations, and silly moments flesh out the poignant experiences to show what a rich life we all have. Thank you for sharing yours with us. I always listen your (and TBP) videos twice: once for content and once for the mellow voice(s) for relaxing before bedtime.
Btw, the Kermit song is Rainbow Connection.
It was written by Paul Williams
Sweet little dog.
Enjoyed your video, learned a lot about you that I didn't already know after watching the panel for a very long time, maybe the beginning. I grew up a naive farm kid in the 1950's and mammalian behaviors has always intrigued me. The behavior panel videos helped me get through 7 trips from Texas to TN fighting a court action. The books written by behavior panelists helped my son to become an effective sales person.
Hattie is sooooo cute!!! I love hearing interesting stories! Thanks for all you do!
🙂
Interesting video, so enjoyable. I became interested in body language in my teens living in South West Africa, today known as Namibia.I was adept at 'observing' people's facial expressions. I grew up with a schizophrenic mother so I was used to being watchful and could see certain expressions on her face, which would keep me on the alert. Not a pleasant thing, but it sort of trained me to be watchful and be aware of others. Even today I can walk into a room and pick up the vibes or feel something is amiss with someone, probably because they are showing it one way or another. I think even if we are not trained we unconsciously notice the signs others show us, if we are sensitive. Then I started reading books about these things and how humans interact etc. I knew that we will see someone we know coming along the long passage toward us, a colleague, and we don't start smiling too early on when they are too far away, we wait till they are a certain distance then we start with the smile and raised eyebrows etc in friendliness..human behaviour is fascinating even when we aren't even aware of it ourselves. We do what we do!
Human beings are fascinating and I really appreciate all the knowledge you share with us!
Aww that is a lovely dog! Hattie! ❤ and great stories! Thank you!
Little hattie looks sweet aw ❤
I adore your stories...great story teller.
I just love to know more about you! Makes me enjoy Behavior Panel even more! I appreciate your great stories!
Scott...that dog😂
I could listen to your stories all day long xxx
Scott, as a purveyor and collector of good stories, this is my absolute friggin favorite. You should make a separate channel just for stories!
Thank you so much.
More Hattie, please! 😁 Also, I enjoy your stories thoroughly. Thanks!
This was so fun, interesting and enjoyable. ❤❤❤
Nice format - stories are great! They paint the ideas for those of us who are visual learners.
Scott, I could listen to your stories all day. What a story teller you are. I especially love your music stories. Hearing stories about musicians from my childhood and teen years brings me so much joy.
Don't stop ,( not even a little bit) 😁
The dog is so cute . I also love all of your stories.
Scotty, you are awesome....I love your stories, you've got me bustin' a gut!! 👍
This was great Scott..thanks. What a sweet little pup.
Through my life I have learned intuitively to read people. I catch those micro expressions lik, and watching mirroring by people really gets me going! I came from a very large family and typically keep to myself.
I love these stories ❤️ 😅🎉
You are mesmerizing ~ could listen to your voice to the end of time. Thank you sir.
🙂👍
Very soothing...
I luv it!!! I remember Millers!
I might be working but will watch when I can. I love dogs 🐕 ❤
These are great stories ... 😅
... "like high end candy" ... 🎉 Switzerlamd
What a blast. ❤Out of all your stories “Cub Scout = Baby cop”. 😂Keep the stories coming.
What got me into body language: Naturally watching people myself ever since I was a little kid. I was picked on, so I'd watch and see if that person was a threat or not. Then I was curious about what other kids said or did or how they acted. I'd notice how animals noticed other people too. And whether or not people could tell what signals an animal was giving off. It was easy for me to tell, but almost no one else could. It was baffling to me that no one else seemed to notice all the things about people and animals I did. Then fast forward, your show. 😄
I was an observer too.
People thought i was psychic. I didnt engage with people who were off. They found me cocky because i didnt speak to them. And i was always right.
Just wait and watch.
Time or rythm will tell.
😂😂😂
I learned to understand rythms as i call it.
Everyone has one, even every phase of life, culture. Men woman have different ones. But even they have simlar patterns.
People repeat their rythms. Allways.
People dont change..
Most..
How they speak, behave, dress, smell, talk, etc. Everything is a pattern.
Not me.
I shapeshift, little things i change on purpose.
That is my rythm. 😂
Once i dated a man who was well trained in bodylanguage.
I had to be carefull.
Switched everything around.
But i flipped my hair and showed my neck.. Nooooo..
😂😂😂
Anyhow.
After date two i knew something was off.
And broke contact.
He was engaged!
Omg!
😂😂😂
My favorite is the air soft champion story. He has a wonderful imagination ♥️
Hi Scott! Hi Hattie!❤️🐾🐾Love your stories you’re so good at telling them, and with such Charm. I can’t believe your brother Mitch is funnier than you! I had the goofiest grin on my face from start to finish!😁😁😁
🙂❤️
Love this storytelling compilation, I always wish we could hear fulls tories watching the panel videos.
At 19 minutes in I went down a rabbit hole of Charlies Daniels and found Tribulation from Steel Witness and Protected by Prayer from The Door which are two new Charlie Daniels gems. Thanks, Scott.
Love the story Scott I think you have had an interesting life!! /and I think you are so funny!! Keep doing what you are doing!!
😂😂😂the BEST video you have ever done! Bravo! Super funny. You are a great storyteller❤
It’s because you’re a great storyteller, dude. So, thanks for lots of good ones 🙂
I could listen to you talk for hours. Just love it!
Thanks Scott. Always enjoy your stories.
You have such a relaxing voice. I put your/the behavior panel videos on at night, and a few minutes later, I'm sound asleep. Thank you for curing my insomnia. It always makes my day when you release a new video. Oh, by the way, I rewatch the videos during the daytime, so I don't just sleep through your "lessons." I have learned so much from y'all. ❤❤❤
Your tiny little hound is gorgeous 😍😘I have a miniature Pinscher who is about the same size as your tiny hound; the stories they could share lol 🤦🏼♀️😂
Aww, look at the baby! Love it!
I echo everyone else, love your storytelling and sound of your voice....loved that you knew y'all were about to get creamed by the little guys.😂
Scott, you’re the bomb! Thanks so much for this video
I love your dog Hattie - so cute!
Your dad is so right. That's why he's the doctor. ❤
Just happened upon the behavior panel while watching a different content creator and MAN am I hooked. You know the Dos Equis most interesting man in the world? That’s you brother!
No kidding !!! With the baby eyebrow trick I have known this since I was a young kid haha. My mum was a childminder and I learnt about how to calm them when they would cry with that trick and thought I was the only one haha
I love this format! it's so nice to listen to you (and I'm practicing my English, with natural conversation).
Thank you. 🙂👍
Scott it’s time to make your first billion in Calm or other ASMR/Sleep Apps!! The Golden Voice! Buhahaha I’d listen to you sell me insurance sir!
Ha! But seriously, I do have a policy you would be interested in. But it’s about your car. I’ve been trying to get in touch with you because I believe you’re policy has run out…
That’s awesome! Lol
I love me some Scott! ❤
I love you Scott! I’m so glad you made this video, I love your stories 🤣🙌🏻🫶🏼
Yay for me! 🙂👍
Great stories glad you decide to tell them . Here's one for you 🤣 50:00 narcissist's : Years ago I didn't know what that was . I get it now. This year 🤣 they'd went from wanting to hurt me way back, to buying me lunch every few weekends & mothers day . Because ... honestly, I realized this one HAD to be seen as the " good guy" & always right, as long as I stayed out of the "good one" territory I was fine. No matter how little he did I acted like it was the most amazing thing . Ya know ,me working 6 hours till I can't walk ( literally ) was nothing, he bought laundry detergent and isn't that just so generous of him . ...this was at a relatives where the guy LIVES FREE 🤦♀. 6 months of this behavior I had a good run now back to avoidance . He found out I was trying to help his favorite abuse targets🤯. Take care have a great week & Thanks for the informative stories ! 🤣🤣
Thanks Scott! Great stories and you've got a super story telling voice. ❤
I could listen to you talk forever your stories are great and your voice is the most soothing I've ever heard. Love your vids xx
🙂❤️
Love this 😁
😂 I have to pause and laugh after some of these stories. The cub scouts one, so sweet. Great video Scott.
🙂
Oh my stars, you tickle me to death. Glad you do these.
You guys tell great stories. I always learn something from you. Giggled at your nephew fooling you
Thanks Scott! I love you and your stories and the way you tell your stories. You are one cool cat ❤
What a great way to spend a relaxing hr. You (and the guys on TBP) always put a smile on my face. In fact TBP has had a huge effect on my life, so thankyou all for that. Hope Chase is doing well. ❤
Your weekly videos are priceless. Hattie = photogenic charm.
Yay! 👍🙂
You're body language-reading skills are rivaled by your story-telling ability, Scott. You also have the perfect voice quality & gently country accent that make these videos so enjoyable to listen to, in addition to learning from. Perfect combination.
Thanks man! 🙂👍
Love your stories and story- telling style. It's common here in Newfoundland Canada to tell stories and tall tales. Usually funny. I bet in Nashville, this common. Of course many cultures have great oral histories passed down.
Awesome! A new video to put on at bedtime! Love ittt! Love your stories and your voice Scott ❤ Much love from Florida
Yay! Thank you so much. And don’t forget, I’ve got 4 videos specifically designed to help you sleep! 😴 🫨
@@ScottRouse OhMyGoodness I am on it! Thanks 😊
