EXACTLY!!! I see all of these white people cleaning them, and all the mexicans bombing the guy in the comments ..."YOURE GONNA GET A BUNCH OF SPIKES IN YOUR MOUTH!" Lol this lady did it with EASE!
The comments on this video are absolutely lovely. What a wonderful community. Thank you for the recipes! Mi bisabuela would make nopales for me as a child but she never got the chance to teach me how to make them. Felt like I was watching her cook again.

Mmm nopales are my favorite food. I love them with black beans, cilantro, garlic, and tomatoes. Usually when I make them I use the leftovers with eggs the next day. I never thought to have them with potatoes, but I’ll definitely be trying that this weekend! Thanks for this great video

Thanks for showing the picking and peeling. I like nopales but had never seen the prep. My favorite was made on a campfire by a young lady from Sonora who sliced the leaves along one side to make a pita like opening, then grilled both sides while cooking spicy sausage then stirring eggs into the pan. The nopales were opened and filled with the sausage/egg mixture and some chopped green onion. The whole thing was wrapped with a flour tortilla. One of the best breakfasts I have ever had.
my nonna has a huge garden full of cactus and we never knew you could cook with them! she only eats what she grows herself so this is great, thank you so much!!!!
Woooow this is pretty awesome. It's my first time to see this. I never knew that this plant is a vegetable. I have seen for many times. Now I can prepare and introduce this recipe to my family. Thank you very much. From Philippines.

Nicely done with a peppy camera style...it keeps you on your toes! I have nopales going nuts in my office, after bringing them in for the winter and boosting them with bunny dung. Time to dive into this recipe!

They are extremely easy to grow but also quite invasive, just plant a nopal piece in the ground and it will grow roots even with little water
Your thick accent assured me this tastes very good, I grew up in a Mexican family and all the women with thick accents were the best cooks.
