- The trucks in the Chilean copper mine of Chuquicamata of the state enterprise Codelco have approximately the size of a single-family house and can load up to 360 tons of ore each. When loaded, the Komatsu truck weighs up to 840 tons! Smaller vehicles must have a flag on the roof so that they are not accidentally overrun by the giant trucks.
